I haven't watched the whole video yet but I'm at a point in nr2003 where I know all about track ini files, LP files, etc. I have started looking into customising and changing physic mods as I understand most online races are done in the CTS mod. That said I want the cup cars to act as close as possible to the current car as well as tinkering with the physics of the car in terms of making it easier to catch a slide etc. If you could do a video on customizing the physics that would be the holy Grail. I've downloaded the software that I've found but idk what the heck I'm looking at or where to begin hahaha. Also I know there are custom mods people have done but I can't seem to find any links to them. All the best bro and I'm glad the community is still strong!
I don’t really think I know enough for that. I spent hours on the physics editor a while back, but couldn’t get it to do what I wanted, I was trying to get 1955 cars to act right lol.

Good stuff brother, been wanting to look into how far we can take it as far as adjusting more realistic racing. I’ve watched a few vids and i guess i just want clarification from the man himself: it’s mainly Draft Distance, DLongPad, DLatPad?
There is a physics editor that is probably the most realistic you can change it, but it’s complicating. Draft distance makes them race closer and the d lat pad is how close a car can get to another’s side. D long pad is how close it will get to the car in front under braking. I change a lot of different settings for different objectives, but drafting distance seems to be the most popular, since I change that at about every track.
This works really well but I have an issue with the Nigh version of 2020 Daytona, they refuse to go 3 wide. I have the same Ini as the daytime one that works fine
can you explain what the driver_superspeedway_to_traction_circle does again? I used NRratings and ran daytona yesterday and some of the slower cars were up front which was a bit weird. Im thinking i need to increase this number to get driver ratings to take more effect?
its the grip per ai ratting on the track. higher numbers have more grip lower numbers have less grip. This doesnt effect super speedways too much, but it really changes tracks where you need to brake

I'm wondering how you're getting the mod to work with that version of Daytona.... it always just crashes for me... what settings are you using?

turning down some graphic settings. This version of Daytona takes a lot of computer power i believe.
