Here everything was done with a touch of perfection. I don't know if there is a better version. The playful rhythm section, the bass having its parallel concert at the back, the melody floating over it all...if I could go to a world of fantasy, I would be a king and this is what I would require of the court musicians at every happy event
Galliano and Marsalis are both such universal musicians, gufted to take music to wide horizons. I had the honour to speak to Galliano after a conncert in Perpignan. Like all great people, very kind and available. His concert was with a group of Spanish gypsies. The next day he was on his way to the Montreux Festival. Occasionaly he comes to Perpignan to give lessons at the Conservatoire. Listen to the Sachal orchestra of Pakistan. We are in truely rich musical times - no limits.
hommefriday Thank you for your comment. I have been an admirer of Wynton Marsalis for some time . New to me is Galliano . I love his happy spirit and wonderful vibe. And the two do play together beautifully. I first heard them together on La Vie En Rose.❣️❣️❣️
Superbe concert. Encore ... encore ... encore ... Fabuleuse musique de souvenirs inoubliables !
Actually, the tune is South American. It's original title is "Amor de mis amores." Piaf heard it while on tour in South America and commissioned French lyrics,

Quite right, but sung by Édith Piaf, it reached the heavens. Gracias Argentina. You Knox the French song "Les Feuilles Mortes " is always presented by the title " Autumn Leaves " whose English lyrics are quite plain compared to the French original ones.

It's not french, it's argentinian. "Que nadie sepa mi sufrir" Edith piaf made the french version. This one is a great version.

Listen to the bass (1)-2-3 , and the drums with hemiola 1-and2

I'm agree with you =)
Wynton is speaking!

it`s not French, it's a Peruvian Valsesito "Que nadie sepa mi sufrir" by Angel Cabral (1936)

@ddruker1 Wrong!!!=)... Originally it's called "que nadie sepa mi sufrir" and it's a peruvian vals...
Actually,La Foule is just a french cover of an argentinian song
Y después de esto que ? fabulosa versión.
Hell yeah man. That's all I've got to say.
Thanks for the clarification. I'm sure even if it was Italian he would still find a way to play some blues.
QUE NADIE SEPA MI SUFRIR
Angel Cabral 1936.
Right!

que nadie sepa mi sufrir
I knew it was a Mexican classic.
+Pietro Fiaccadori As far as I remember, it was recorded in Spanish by a Spanish singer, Raphael Martos, known as The Kid from Linares.
It is a Peruvian walz.

neither italian, nor french. It belongs to an argentinian tango musician, Angel Cabral.
