He had gone on months long hiatuses during that time because he’d have flare-ups or surgeries, been in and out of the hospital for that and mental health. Because of his condition, it’s almost like vocal fry in women where it’s affected his cords. People will say he’s faking it and his illness is a cover-up. While we can never know 100% for sure, it’s not like it’s some random act that came out of nowhere when he went from being popular on the spooky/creepasta reading community to a full-time YTer. It’s been an issue for years for him. Personally, I don’t watch his new stuff as the content he makes now just isn’t for me, but I still enjoy some clips and I will defend his issues as us oldies remember.

Like, even a basic understanding of vocal anatomy and technique should tell you that people generally don't talk at their absolute lowest, even with damaged voices like Corpse has. My voice is pretty damned low, but I don't speak as low as Corpse all the time, because I speak in my upper-mid range like any normal person with decently healthy vocals should. My voice rests above his, and my lowest is around his pitch. Similarly, his voice is where you hear it, so of course he can go a bit lower and reach some contrabass notes.

The average of the lowest point when he pushed down was between A1 and G1, which sounded lower because of the depth of tone, but at the lowest he managed to slip in some fry down to C1, and a very short dip lower. If he hadn't been joking, and was trying specifically to relax lower, I speculate he might be able to sustain a C1 in a chest-fry mix, and at his most relaxed he could probably fry to a Bb0. But I can't be 100% on any guesses like these unless he cared enough to try, and I admire the fact that he doesn't, because I waste waaay too much time on this kind of thing.
