Nobody was going to light up Nashville. I'm surprised nobody is mentioning this very much in regards to canucks offense numbers.
Sure they could have finished more, but it was basically 6 skaters playing goalie then Saros who believe it or not, played out of his skull. Canucks offense will get tons more space vs oilers D. And, Skinner is no Saros

I mean skinners been pretty solid other than game 1 2 , had 79 saves in his last 3 games on 5 shots and a shut out haha and as far as defence goes my man they didn’t allow a single power play goal or 15 attempts they been top 3 defensively all playoffs and we don’t need to talk about edmontons offence right now it speaks for itself , it should be a good series oilers in 5

It's going to be hard to predict. We've had too many guys not able to score due to tight checking from Nashville, or maybe we've just been cold-handed. So, I expect way more help outside of the only few guys who have scored so far. If we can't contain the Oilers, they will score a bunch, but we can definitely minimize their opportunities just enough. However, our forwards have to come through in that case

They outhit and out muscled nash in round 1 so i think they have a slight edge there especially if the game is played defensively.
I like Vans bottom six better thab edmontons.
I think the deciding factor is can Miller get under mcdavids skin and can the canucks convincingly win in game 1.

I don't think LA showed up against Edmonton for the most part. 55 percent on the pk is generous. Multiple goals happened right after the pp expired. 2nd best pk in the league all year and they offered little to no resistance. I don't see how some of that isn't an effort issue. Yes that pp is awesome but they were allowed to set up and move the puck at will. Vancouver will pressure them and Vancouver won't take nearly as many stupid penalties. I also think Silovs will continue to shock. He was stellar last year stealing the bronze medal for Latvia at the Wolrld Championships against the US and winning tournament MVP. No reason he can't reach that level of play again. Vancouver will slow down McDavid and Drasaitl through excellent systems defense by committee and with the pp neutralized and McDavid and Drasaitl not putting up 2-3 points a night Edmonton becomes very beatable. Edmonton doesn't smother like Nashville does they rely on skill and more wide open hockey. Vancouver has excelled against those teams all year. If the goaltending holds up I think Vancouver costs people a lot of money and wins in 6.

There will be moments that absolutely tilt the series and if the team isn't ready to handle it, it goes out of control.
This Oilers team has been through it. Time and time again.
They won't get rocked, they won't ge shocked easily. They will approach it game to game and adjust as need be.

The scary thing about the Oilers is that they can adjust their playing style during a series ...
They can play defense if need to, they can play high-octane style when possible.
It also showed that they are capable of learning the other team's playing style and have enough skill and depth to adjust to it.
That's what scary about the Oilers this year.
The only thing about the Canucks is that they have great goaltending, that's it. Question is,
      1) Is it enough to stop McD and Drai and Hyman from winning 4 games?
      2) Can they match the Oilers adjustment to the goaltending?

BTW im calling a canucks sweep. Oilers collapse after a lucky canucks game 1 win as miller gets under mcdavids skin and the team starts to doubt their goalie and stops playing their system.

I dont think any other canadians want to see canadian teams succeed. I would literally rather watch any other american team win then gove another canadian city bragging rights

They had a top 10 defense in the league once Knobby took over, analytics wise. Saying the Oil can’t defend is an old narrative and shows you haven’t watched us play.
