You do so much for the greater good of mankind and especially in your area. I love the way you promote families, generations gone by. I love the way you keep history alive with everybody you interview and all the historical stories that you tell. It’s just wonderful. I wish you could travel all over the United States and get the history on so many different towns that could use your expertise. God bless you and may our blessed lady inspire you. Merry Christmas.
Good to see you two moving along with your dream. And by the looks of watching the video you found a good company and crew to build it. That is a good thing. Because while theres many good honest people out there, there's a lot that aren't. Merry Christmas to you all!
I like these barndominium builds... so of course I found your channel. I'll guess I'll have to check out your other uploads to find out what the Appalachian Channel is all about. Thanks for sharing this project with us.
Glade you found me and thanks for watching and making a comment on this video.. I have started a series called Barndo Life that you can watch all my Barndo video at the below link. John Ward ruclips.net/p/PLhiXVG-s0EOmYVTLXE6C5AUbmiOt4M0ys
I know all you tubers hate this type of stuff but if your post are copper treated make sure your lags and any fasteners going in to them are hot dipped galvanized and not zinc. I personally use thru bolts and nuts instead of. Looking forward to the next video.
Enjoyed the videos this past year John. Brando is coming along good. Looks like they have their toolbox well organized. LaFollette is where the Gospel group The Issacs are from. I hope you and Jodie had wonderful Christmas and I hope you have a prosperous new year. Be safe and God bless.
Great to have you in Tennessee. How exciting to watch your home being built. I thank you for including us. Do you have a floor plan to show us? I hope you had a great Christmas. I love your dog and I'm glad to see the guys keeping him safe. God bless y'all, Annie in East Tennessee
Your area has turned into a zoo like the NC side of western NC. House being built In fields instead of livestock. Really sad to see.it’s become the new Florida And California here just across the line.
Hello Annie in East Tennessee! I dont have a floor plan drawn out really. I just it in my head. I still have some things to figure out. What townare you from?
Nice to see my second cousins families forklift still doing what it was designed to do in Monaghan Ireland in the USA the Moffett's are now in the largest forklift factory in Europe manufacturing under combi lift but still the same design as they created in the Moffett Mounty just a lot bigger machines now.
Yes, the construction is not gonna be good on what little grass I had going, but that’s just part of building something. Thanks for watching and merry Christmas to you and your family from the Appalachian channel.
How exciting. So happy for you both. My husband and I were wondering why they didn’t cut the poles before they put them up ? Obviously he had done that a few times lol. We enjoy your videos. We live in NC in Rockingham county about 30 minutes from Madison. Cheryl
You man want to look at the manufacturers specifications for the metal post base that are being used. They are putting lag screws in in the video but almost all bardominiums I've seen they have used through bolts to install the posts.
@@theappalachianchannel Just seen your reply, in Robbins, a mile out 52 towards Brooks Store. I am thinking about maybe doing a video like you are here for my channel as well, it might be interesting for some of my viewers.
I wouldn’t have kept that damaged door. Id of said, put it right back on the truck. You’re stuck with it now. Those places pretty much say, you accepted it, it’s yours. That’s their mentality. They say how do we know it sssnt damaged after we left it. Impossible to deal with places like lowes and Home Depot. I can’t imagine building anything in this day and age. I can’t get anyone to come replace some Windows or fox a toilet, let alone build something.
Just found your channel, great videos! I haven't seen metal roof trusses on a Barndo before, where did they come from and roughly what did they cost? Also, are you going to leave them exposed?
I talk more about the cost in days 4, 5 and 6 video. I dont know how much they cost because it was all in a package price. Thank you for watching The Appalachian Channel! John Ward
I would love to pick your brain!!!! We have property and are looking into Barndos but don't know where to start. Did you have to get utilities first? Our property is raw but utilities are couple hundred feet away. Just wish we had someone to answer questions.
That looks like XDT delivery on your doors. That is the worst idea Lowe's ever had. These guys don't care about the product and it's no money from their pockets.

the screws are from the manufacture that the metal comes form. they are color matched for the siding.
Big up, John! Another great video!

Why not cut the poles first before standing them up?? If concrete is level. Curious.
Well that’s a good question.

That slider had a dent in it ,
I thought that’s the damage but then heard him about the single door.

Why did they leave a post hanging over the edge, shoddy work.
That looks like XDT delivery on your doors. That is the worst idea Lowe's ever had. These guys don't care about the product and it's no money from their pockets.
