Hey guys! So I forgot to mention my depop during the video but it is @juliearaica I also noticed that a lot of you are commenting about how your goodwill or value village are different from mine, but I am only speaking from my own experience with the stores in my area which is something I should have made more clear in my video! So not all stores might be flat rate like mine or (with the case of value village) owned by the same company as mine so sorry for any confusion this may have caused!
#30 is so important, I work at a thrift store and theres nothing worse than people coming in and being disrespectful and laughing at everything, it makes me feel bad for others as an employee so I can't imagine what other shoppers whose only option is that store are thinking... also leaving a mess for employees to pick up, I don't think I will ever get used to/over how disrespectful some customers are!!! so frustrating
ivana stanic// i live in a city where rich people mostly live, and as a member from a poor and broke family, my only choice was going to very cheap, rundown clothing shops, and many of my friends tend to tease or insult me. I just wish everyone would stop being a douchebag.
H0lD 0N, H0lD 0N. You forgot the MOST important tip of thrifting: thrift in wealthy areas of town. You are more likely to find "brand name" items that are better quality and newer condition. I have also found these shift stores to be cleaner, and feel generally safer. Most of my good finds are from wealthy areas if town.
Hi, I'm an older lady, like your gramma's age. But I wanted to say I Ioved your video! So smart and interesting, you rock! (think that's an outdated saying, maybe). I'm going to start doing a bunch of your suggestions when I'm thrifting, big thanks! You're sweet and have great style.
that is so true about the keeping an eye on your basket/cart!!! I had a cart full of all these amazing shoes I'd found... and when I was in the fitting room trying on the clothing items I came out and these 2 ladies were taking all the shoes I had found out of my cart!!!!! I was like "uhmmm.. what are you doing those are mine" lol... and the one lady just goes "Oh sorry.. you have great taste" and they gave them back and walked away. I think they had been following me and knew I had all those shoes and waited for an opportunity to try and steal them from me! They continued to shop right behind me the rest of the time I was there. Giving me dirty looks. Made me so uncomfortable I eventually left. AFTER purchasing all the shoes. Evil!!! haha
Lights Camera Hiliary I don't know how you did it. I would've been so pissed. somebody would've had to hold me back. I dare somebody to try to take my stuff.
This was A+!!! Especially the last tip! Ever since thrifting became trendy it's very easy to forget that a lot of people thrift out of necessity and not because it's cool. Great haul too, u cute af!!!
Joanna Morrison exactly I started when I was 13 because that's when I first started high school which meant I wouldn't be wearing any uniform and my mom could not even afford forever 21. Thrift stores saved my life and my mom's bank account
Where I live thrift stores aren't a thing cause people are obsessed with big brands and second hand stuff is seen as dirty and disgusting. The nearest thrift store is half an hour away by car and is tiny. Like almost boutique tiny. There's little choice though everything is pretty good quality at least. It's sad though, I wish there where as many thrift store as you have in america
Me too, I have a small store nearby that barely has anything good and I have to travel 1 hour and a half to Barcelona, and there take the metro or walk about 30/40 min. to find the affordable stores.
HAHAHA "and whenever I wear this shirt I feel like my name is Coco and I only drink expensive red wine" This is how I am going to express my love for a clothing item from now on :P
I once found a Burberry sweater in a secondhand shop. It is not necessary about where you live (: But go to the shops close to the rich people area @polinaaine
This is kinda making me feel confident. as my mom said we might have to starr shopping at thrift stores cause times have changed. I've gone thrift shopping and I loved it. it made me not worry about my size and there's always something good for you women section or not. the normal stores like malls to make me feel so insecure about my size I would leave hating myself more. well enough with sadness I've subscribe hope you make more soon.
Same:I im pretty tall and i love oversized clothing at the same time. When i go to the stores i feel so upset since most clothing is to short. But when i go trift shopping i can often find clothing that i love!
You’re so pretty! The malls prey on teens and I tentionally make EVERYONE feel insecure. You’re not alone. You’re also not alone in being in tough financial times. The thrift store is cooler and you are making the planet a better place by not by cheap fashion that ends up in landfills and ruins the environment and costs low paying employees their lives in third world countries. Trust me that you ARE ON THE ROAD to so much more because of this. Keep pressing forward! You’re beautiful and awesome!
Honey some thrift clothes are trendy and cute. Put on them clothes and show em off. If anyone says anything, flip your hair and turn the other way. They are not worth your time.
aly andra girl I donate and shop there. I'd rather spend $6 on a pair of Levi's than $56 now. Plus omg so many items still have tags on them from the store. Target is one of the biggest ones to donate end of season items to goodwill! It's amazing.
Yesss girl your advice about being respectful to the fact that thrifting is many people's only option is spot on. Too many times I used to see a group of teens go in there to laugh at some of the 'ridiculous' and 'outdated' items, back when I was still too embarrassed to admit that thrifting was me and my family's only option. It made me and my siblings wanna hide.
Loved your note about being respectful and mindful - thrifting is "in" and it's great that so many people can find common ground hunting for cool finds, but it's imperative to remain conscious of the fact that low income individuals don't have that choice - it's not just cute and/or trendy for them (though of course it can be!!) it's their life. xx
Man. In America thrift shops look awesome with so many different stores and gems in them. In the UK all the charity shops are filled with Next blouses and cardigans that smell like wee. (And no, they’re not cute. You can’t style them with anything unless you’re a middle aged woman called Barbara.)
Dang...maybe someone should make an online thrift store? Like where people can donate stuff to a few locations and then they ship stuff out to places that don’t have thrift stores
Idk why people are saying that you don't have to do anything to try to fit those shorts. You said 'work out and eat better.' Those are good ways to care for yourself! You do you!
Stoopid Z nah dude low rise jeans are uncomfortable on everyone probably, I’m a 5’ 95lb 13 year old and low rise jeans are SO uncomfortable for me. Low rise jeans just suck 😂
That pink blouse is sooo pretty! Looks great with the mom jeans - when you said "everytime I wear this I feel like my name is CoCo and I only drink expensive red wine" I lost it - that was brilliant... :) Really appreciate all of the tips in this video!
This is what I think: "Higher end" thrift stores (like platos closet) are best thing to buy from here are the shoes and off-season items Stores similar to goodwill are great for books, jeans, sunglasses, and costume pieces Local, non-chain thrift stores (there usually super super small and cute) are the best for jackets, shirts, and bags
I love your mindful and respectful point. I went to the Salvation Army near my house a couple days ago and there was a group of your teenagers with one of their moms and they were just being obnoxious. Making fun of clothing, be loud, rude to employees, not following rules.
Girllll, my fellow youtuberrrr, you're a mix on Earth and Fire...anyhow, I love how threw in the (important) bit about respect and keeping in mind that some people are less fortunate. yes yes yes!!!
Shania O. Mason heck I love the prices and being able to find quality goods. As long as you know what you're looking for, you can find some seriously high end stuff. I love how she said to take your time. It does annoy the ever living crap out of me when I'm in a thrift store and teenagers are being little dicks about the label inside of the shirt. They don't want it yet they'll go shop at Forever 21. I hate "label whores" 😂 If it looks good and you love it WEAR IT. I swear I wish Goodwill was open 24 hours so I could go when some of the pretentious teenagers are at home. Plus what a better time than night to get your calm shopping on? :) I got off topic but I do think respect is key. Around this area a bunch of people have no other choice than to thrift. Some of our Thrift shops are way pricey though.
I used to get made fun for thrifting ever since Ive been a child but now that's it's trendy everyone suddenly starts asking me for good places to thrift in lol tip : if you any swapmeet near you , go there too ! But go to where they have mountains of clothing you'll find very good things in those I've found Gucci jeans, Gucci t shirts, jeans that cost 1000+ in store all brand new & originals ! You just have to be patient and look at ALL the clothing and make sure to get their early because swapmeets are filled with Asians and Mexicans and we're HELLA good at finding good things faster than others.
That's true I found a couple vintage chanel and Dior satin night gowns and robe ina thriftstore outlet. And I'm from a third world country. And in the same pound of clothes I got a cute J CREW sweater.
That, "I really like it because I feel like a dad and, you know, anything that makes me look like a dad or feel like a dad is a plus.", "It looks fancy as hell and whenever I wear this shirt, I feel like my name is Coco and I only drink expensive red wine." and, "The grand total for everything that I got guys, was $1.75. Yeah, that's right, bitch." She is a treasure.
Try shopping for men’s jeans! Make sure to measure your waste band beforehand and make sure to look through! I was able to find some amazing mom jeans, even as someone who is more on the curvy side!
I hate platos closet, their stuff is so expensive!! I also went with 6 bags of good condition clothes from express, banana, pink, etc and they didn't even look through anything, cause they gave me everything back saying that my stuff was out fashion. However my stuff was brand new, I only took it there because I gained weight ;(
PinkKoalas I know how you feel! Mine does the exact same thing and when you look through the racks, some stuff is torn, fading, and falling apart. That just pisses me off more when they take that stuff, but not good quality pieces.
Really? I’ve found some normally pricey, well made, high-end clothing and jewelry (think Forever 21, Pink, and American Eagle) at Plato’s Closet for like, $5. I guess it just depends on where you live.
The only things I could possibly find for 25 cents at my local thrift store are some beat up toys. On average, a pair of jeans at our store costs 4.99-6.99 ;_;
Wtf that's still cheap are you seriously complaining?? If you got jeans for any less than that especially 25 cents..they'd fall apart. A regular pair of jeans at the mall or regular stores are about $30
nicole avery bad day? If not, you prob don't have a fuckin brain because you can't even tell that I'm agreeing they are cheap 😂 I think you should calm down because that was a very aggressive comment that came out of nowhere
You can get a hair tie, put it in the hole where the button goes, and put it around the button, and it honestly looks normal (for the jeans at 14:45) lmfao
Where do you thrift at? Sorry if you had already stated this!! $1.75 for all the things you got for everything you got is amazing and the price I wanna pay! I see your comment about Value Village, is it there?
noo if you just glance through everything you will definitely miss beautiful things! whenever i go thrifting i really take my time. i have found so much simple and kinda weird stuff that i ended up loving lmao.
I feel like thrifting is different depending on where you live. Like, in LA thrifting is a cool trendy thing that a lot of people do because they want to. Where I live, thrifting is something people do because they can't afford anything better. And nothing against people thrifting as a choice, I've done it too. It's just VERY obvious when you go to a thrift store who is there for which reason. I hate seeing fashionable teens at the thrift store, it's obnoxious. So when I thrift I try to dress down, blend in more. And honestly, I see that I get harassed and followed around by men much less this way too (yes this is a thing that happens). Be low key, keep your head down, don't look or act like a spoiled brat.
I agreed with most of your comment except the part where you said you hated seeing fashionable people at a thrift store. I love fashion and I love dressing up for everything. Now I have to dress down at a thrift store in order to not make "poor" people feel bad? Hell, a lot of my "trendy" looking clothes are from the thrift store or from stores like tj maxx. Its not like you are automatically rich just because you dress fashionable. Even if I was, (which im not) its nobody's business why I am at a thrift store and what I buy. As long as I am not acting weird or making fun of the store, I don't see how it's a problem. I think its awesome that thrifting or buying vintage pieces is becoming more popular. It pushes thrift stores to provide better items and now many specialized vintage stores are popping up. People are also now appreciating a lot more dressing more uniquely and showing off your own style instead of following just one trend. Smh, special triggered snowflakes now want people to dress down in order to not feel self conscious...
adriana12995 I agree. All of my clothes are from thrift stores, and if someone would hear that, say 5 years ago, I would get way more dirty looks than I would usually get today especially because I thrift out of necessity (I am poor and dress from the 30s and 40s lol)
No Swearing on my Christian Server Yeah. I know some people feel annoyed that now people who are well off are getting things second hand just because its trendy to be vintage but since it is becoming a normal thing, it helps people who actually have no other choice than to buy things from a thrift store to not be seen as uncool or dirty.
after watching this video- honestly, you have literally changed my perspectives on thrift stores. on this back to school starter I'm honestly going to view and start shopping a few at thrift shops- thank you! (and i love your unique fashion sense!✨)
my value village is clean af everything is on the racks and yeah it's pretty big too but the prices I've seen range from 1.99 to 5.99 for jeans and shirts and get a bit pricey for coats and jackets (which makes sense) 😊
you guys omlllll once i was thrifting for jeans and like,,, i pull this pair of jeans out and im loving them and i turn them around and BAM big old **(**period*&&*& stain /n\
gross lmao once when I went to the thift shop with my grandma when I was younger. she tried on a dress and noticed that there was holes where the undershorts thing is and dried jizz right next to them. She was so shook
you're like the first youtube thrifter video i ever heard talking about not leaving stuff in the dressing room or not making fun of stuff at the thrift store or how gross some of the donations are and i'm so glad you spoke up about that in this video and all the people who might have no other place to go for clothes so thank you!!!!!!! subbed!!!!
Love these tips :) I've thrifted all my life and can really appreciate the last one especially in Goodwill where thrifting is seen as more trendy for people and some people just put stuff back anywhere and are really rude. I think it's fine to have fun in a thrift store but for sure you have to also be mindful.
everything u got is so cute wtf !!! I find that a lot of pants don't get around my waist bc I have weird proportions but I read that if you soak the pants and then shove a bunch of hard books into the waist bit it stretches them out so you could try that !!! also you look hot af your tummy is great ❤❤❤❤
A big applause for you for your last tip of this video. Thank you honestly for recognizing all the people who were less fortunate and grew up with only the ability to shop at thrift stores. I remember being made fun at when I was hella young and now it's supposedly "cool" to thrift and people think it's a trend.
Great advice and insight. Thrifted style is more interesting. I just went to my 1st GW outlet & it was 1.78/lb so your jeans alone would have made that. Where do you live?
I'm so glad you touched upon respect at thrift stores. As someone that comes from a not very well off family, and being someone who has experienced people thinking I was homeless based on my thrifted clothing, I am very grateful. Thank you :)
These were really good tips but I'm a little bit upset at your thrift store prices! Here in Canada everything is way more expensive. "Cheap" is finding something for $5!
Mychelleisonfire i live in a small town so the local thrift stores are so much cheaper than value village. There’s a thrift store near my school that sells clothing for $1 each
I work in a thrift store and that last comment was so appreciated, it astounds me sometimes how disrespectful and messy people can be so thank you so much hun!
i go thrifting literally all the time like i never shop at first-hand stores anymore but some of these just really hadn’t occurred to me. also i totally agree with your point about thrifting alone, i feel like i find better stuff when i’m by myself
I love that you mention to be respectful because a lot of people don’t think about that. Plenty of my clothes growing up were from thrift stores (although I always thought that was kind of cool). Also those Levi’s make you look AMAZING! 🤗😍
This is my 5th time watching this. I keep coming back to your video because it’s wonderful. You’re the most authentic and genuine ytber with the best advice for thrifting. I don’t know why but no one respects the stores and knows so much as you. Everyone should learn from you, you’re great, love you bye :)
This channel is an underrated gem. Also thanks for mentioning the importance of being respectful at thrift stores bc that absolutely is important. Subbed ❤️
Great tips, thanks for posting! I love when you pointed out that it's not cool to try on clothes just to laugh about how ugly they look on you, sometimes even good people are unintentionally disrespectful and take for granted that others may be less fortunate.
Or you can make the shorts a little bigger ^_^ You do not need to work out or loose weight - your body looks healthy and great and your figure is perfect! If you don't know how to sow perhaps you could pay someone for it - the shorts looked great on you, and they don't need much extra fabric to fit you. - Same for the yellow pants!
LOVE LOVE LOVE your advice about being respectful. My local Goodwill is probably the cleanest one I've seen, but there are so many stores that are just a mess because of rude and messy customers. I'm so happy you pointed out the part about being respectful of other shoppers that HAVE to shop there. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has seen something crazy on the rack and had a hard time stifling a laugh, but it's something I will make sure to work on. Great video!
She is so right about being mindful and respectful. not everyone has the money to buy new clothes at the mall or at high end shops. Also it may be embarrassing for some people, especially teens to be seen in thrift shops. it's not a cool experience for every person to shop there. I personally don't care about being seen in a thrift shop because I have the funds to shop anywhere else but thrift shops do sometimes have great finds and new items as well. btw these are some great tips!
im so glad you made a point to mention that a lot of people shop at thrift stores because they literally can't afford to shop anywhere else!!! ive never seen another youtuber even address that. also youre so cute and your bum is fantastic.
Hey guys! So I forgot to mention my depop during the video but it is @juliearaica

Salad Daze ayee😊
I just found your videos and am realizing we probably go to the same school and got oddly happy ima keep an eye out for you next semester girl
Salad Daze what section of the store did you get the last jeans in
For jeans/pants that don't fit that you really like you could always make a cut in the pack and sew in a little piece of elastic(in a matching color).
Salad Daze yo you have such a nice figure. You're the definition of an hourglass. Damn gurl

Alicia Wilson brilliant, never thought about that
Or also wear super tight tights to just slip pants over them easily without them touching your skin ! :))
Rebecca Hasana I do that too! I wear tight leggings and slip jeans right over them :D

I don't know if this is inappropriate but your ass looks great in those jeans girl! I need to find jeans that fit me like that 😭
You look so good in those jeans!! I wish the charity shops near me sold things as cheap as the American thrift stores 💔
Lolita Skura - Allen same. I swear ours in the UK are so expensive. you can't get any jeans under £5 No way could we get levis under £20
Sunflower Monroe I managed to find a Levi skirt for £10 in a vintage shop once, it was a very rare find though!
Thanks! And yeah it's a shame :(
If you ever visit though you should definitely check them out!
Sunflower Monroe Woah what? I live in the UK and I got two pairs of jeans for £6
Lolita Skura - Allen ugh I HATE that we don't have thrift stores bc charity shops typically only sell like blouses in size 30
Idk why people are saying that you don't have to do anything to try to fit those shorts. You said 'work out and eat better.' Those are good ways to care for yourself! You do you!
My Goodwill is really nice. It's big clean and organized! Like, man they don't mess around xD it's organized by type of clothing then by color.
Sydney Allard same lol
Sydney Allard tru, i work there
Same, I LOVE my Goodwill!
I actually prefer when it's not organized by colour. I think it's easier to look through stuff if the colours are mixed :P
mine is organized by type, then size then color 😄
Tip #31 - Buy stuff for the body you HAVE, not the body you think you MIGHT have sometime in the future.
Savannah New not really. Girls with bigger hips usually find low rise jeans to be uncomfortable. Everything isn’t that simple

Stoopid Z nah dude low rise jeans are uncomfortable on everyone probably, I’m a 5’ 95lb 13 year old and low rise jeans are SO uncomfortable for me. Low rise jeans just suck 😂
@@nickiminaj4041 their point was just to wear what you want and that it doesn't matter what size you are,, you can rock oversized or smaller clothes.
Sorry
That pink blouse is sooo pretty! Looks great with the mom jeans - when you said "everytime I wear this I feel like my name is CoCo and I only drink expensive red wine" I lost it - that was brilliant... :) Really appreciate all of the tips in this video!
This is what I think:
"Higher end" thrift stores (like platos closet) are best thing to buy from here are the shoes and off-season items
Stores similar to goodwill are great for books, jeans, sunglasses, and costume pieces
Local, non-chain thrift stores (there usually super super small and cute) are the best for jackets, shirts, and bags
in my city we dont have like any local shops...ugggg
You mean local like a Christian thrift store, as my town has one right behind a church
"because ya know, i don't fuck with none of that low rise shit." i'm dying😂
"Everytime I wear this shirt I feel like my name is Coco and I'm about to drink some expensive ass wine" 😂😂 I'm dead
You just have to be patient and look at ALL the clothing and make sure to get their early because swapmeets are filled with Asians and Mexicans and we're HELLA good at finding good things faster than others.
alo vera what is swapmeets
What is swap meets??!
its so hard being a middle aged father when ur just a teenage girl 😂😂😂 i feel ya
$1.75?? When I go thrifting, I can't even get one tank top for that price
lmao your profile pic is how i feel about that price
Felicia I got 8 shirts the other day for 1.50 check out church sales
I paid 8 dollars for three tops and ripped jeans that fit really well
Felicia I've literally only spent like 3$ on 6 items for me and my son.
deadass me too
Go to thrift stores near to very high end neighborhoods. My favorite Goodwill is in one of the richest counties in the country and it's fantastic.
if u lay down on ur bed when puttin on jeans the gravity will suck in your stomach
next level shit
I might have to try that because I really don't want to get rid of these
Ing were all in 2017 while you're in 2030
i do that but my stomach still bulges out :'))))
Laying down how? On my back or my stomach? Lol
I read the title wrong and thought it said "how to be a trifling queen" 😂
Adilah Anwar haha oh my..to funny
Ur little tummy is cute! Don't be ashamed 💕
trxstmepapi omg my mate I say that to her but wenever I say that she says sez the one that's figure is one point 😂😂😂😂😂😬😍😇🤔
how do u find jeans for 25 cents ohmygod. even i cant find that in thrift stores and i live in a 3rd world country. this is crazy
Razel P thrift outlet stores charge by the pound and so light fabric stuff ends up very inexpensive
That's true I found a couple vintage chanel and Dior satin night gowns and robe ina thriftstore outlet. And I'm from a third world country. And in the same pound of clothes I got a cute J CREW sweater.
I actually work at Family Thrift Center in Austin and this video is pretty spot on.
Yasmin Mora Acuña I live in Austin too!
austinite ova hereee!
girl your tummy is beautiful and don't let anyone tell you different
Bring a friend. A friend can be good for moral support watching your shit, you finding them shit, or them telling you you look like shit. 😂wtf
Crochetems lol
Crochetems I read that as she said it... STOP
Mak Mak I did too lol
Best line ever. I have tears just reading what you wrote :)
I can never find mom jeans :(
Amèrica Martinez they’re hard to find! Especially when you have any booty
Try little boy jeans, they work for some people
Just buy oversized jeans
Lmao this was a year ago?? But try Boohoo they have amazing mom jeans I’ve already bought two pairs
Try shopping for men’s jeans! Make sure to measure your waste band beforehand and make sure to look through! I was able to find some amazing mom jeans, even as someone who is more on the curvy side!
wow i love this!! and those last jeans look so bomb on you. did you buy everything in the haul at one store or are the pieces from different places?
Everything that I showed in this video was bought at the same Thrift Outlet store! And thank you
Ayo Olagbaju you're mad pretty, l like your smile 🙈✨
Verne March aw that's sweet, thank you!!
Ayo Olagbaju np 😊😊✨✨
I hate platos closet, their stuff is so expensive!! I also went with 6 bags of good condition clothes from express, banana, pink, etc and they didn't even look through anything, cause they gave me everything back saying that my stuff was out fashion. However my stuff was brand new, I only took it there because I gained weight ;(
PinkKoalas I know how you feel! Mine does the exact same thing and when you look through the racks, some stuff is torn, fading, and falling apart. That just pisses me off more when they take that stuff, but not good quality pieces.
PinkKoalas my sister always takes good new unused things but the workers claim is worn and faded :(
Really? I’ve found some normally pricey, well made, high-end clothing and jewelry (think Forever 21, Pink, and American Eagle) at Plato’s Closet for like, $5. I guess it just depends on where you live.
Amanda Yager LITERALLY!!! My mom was like nope nope let’s go to the goodwill 😂
Girl happened to me yesterday???!!!! Like there was a shit ton of American eagle shit that I brought in and they didn’t take anything
The only things I could possibly find for 25 cents at my local thrift store are some beat up toys. On average, a pair of jeans at our store costs 4.99-6.99 ;_;
MyKpopThought2 bruh fam that's still pretty cheap
Wtf that's still cheap are you seriously complaining?? If you got jeans for any less than that especially 25 cents..they'd fall apart. A regular pair of jeans at the mall or regular stores are about $30
YourFangirlSelina bruh and fam in one sentence? Lol you don't sound cool or trendy you just sound stupid calm down and talk like you have a brain
nicole avery bad day? If not, you prob don't have a fuckin brain because you can't even tell that I'm agreeing they are cheap 😂 I think you should calm down because that was a very aggressive comment that came out of nowhere
nicole avery but "fam" besides your out of the blue aggression, I agree jeans for 25 cents are prob shit and are gonna fucking fall apart in 5 minutes
"just got my wisdom teeth pulled out"
SHE IS A REAL RUclips FOR RECORDING AFTER SHE FEELS FINE XD
You can get a hair tie, put it in the hole where the button goes, and put it around the button, and it honestly looks normal (for the jeans at 14:45) lmfao
Only if you're wearing a shirt that covers it. No crop tops, no tucking.
Nitendo boys2001 a keyring is better, it won't rip!
Drink that expensive red wine, Coco!
Malayna P. you go, coco! 😂
Glen coco!! ^
Dude a spoiled brat?😂a thrift store 😂😂❤️❤️❤️
your voice is so calming 😭 and btw is your channel name inspired by Mac de Marco's album??
after watching this video- honestly, you have literally changed my perspectives on thrift stores. on this back to school starter I'm honestly going to view and start shopping a few at thrift shops- thank you! (and i love your unique fashion sense!✨)
anyone else hear the faint V A P O R W A V E
g o t t a h a v e t h a t v a p o r
she seems really wise
my value village is clean af everything is on the racks and yeah it's pretty big too but the prices I've seen range from 1.99 to 5.99 for jeans and shirts and get a bit pricey for coats and jackets (which makes sense) 😊
Ankine Apardian the tops and pants range from $7.99 - 13.99 in my location. Jackets can go from $12 - $80.
wow ok i guess it depends on the store you go to!
you guys omlllll once i was thrifting for jeans and like,,, i pull this pair of jeans out and im loving them and i turn them around and
BAM
big old **(**period*&&*& stain /n\
Sterenklare Nacht ahh that sucks :(
gross lmao once when I went to the thift shop with my grandma when I was younger. she tried on a dress and noticed that there was holes where the undershorts thing is and dried jizz right next to them. She was so shook
fucking hell
stumbled across your channel on accident. Best mistake I've made this week. I adore youuuu
you're like the first youtube thrifter video i ever heard talking about not leaving stuff in the dressing room or not making fun of stuff at the thrift store or how gross some of the donations are and i'm so glad you spoke up about that in this video and all the people who might have no other place to go for clothes so thank you!!!!!!! subbed!!!!
$1.00 and some change?!! I wish I had good thrift stores in my area like that.
The V A P O R W A V E!
wild sabrina I'm not the only one who hears it .. Y E S
me too
MY GIRL IS ALL ABOUT BODY POSITIVITY 👏🏽👏🏽
This is amazing..you spent $1.75. How.
$1.75 WHAT can the uk step its shit up
lovinqmochi ikr
lovinqmochi jimin 😎😎
lmaoooooo
*hey i like ur p f p*
Urgh ikr you can never find any good thrift stores here
Great advice and insight. Thrifted style is more interesting. I just went to my 1st GW outlet & it was 1.78/lb so your jeans alone would have made that. Where do you live?
I live in Houston!
Salad Daze no flipping way :0 I'm in Houston as well! I got to thrift where you go! Those you killed Levi's at the end😍
I'm so glad you touched upon respect at thrift stores. As someone that comes from a not very well off family, and being someone who has experienced people thinking I was homeless based on my thrifted clothing, I am very grateful. Thank you :)
yoo one time i went to a thrift store on a Wednesday where everything was 25 cents and i got a stussy tee !
also u dumb thick holla at me ma
These were really good tips but
I'm a little bit upset at your thrift store prices! Here in Canada everything is way more expensive. "Cheap" is finding something for $5!
Mychelleisonfire truee
Well you have free medical. We pay with chopping block off a arm or a leg 😉
Visitor
Wait, they have free medical?? Take me to Canada 😯
Mychelleisonfire i live in a small town so the local thrift stores are so much cheaper than value village. There’s a thrift store near my school that sells clothing for $1 each
"yeah, that's right bitch"😂
I work in a thrift store and that last comment was so appreciated, it astounds me sometimes how disrespectful and messy people can be so thank you so much hun!
"i like this because it makes me feel like a daD" LMAO
Dying over the "tommy" shirt and Levi jeans 😫😫😫😫
Your friend is cute tho
i go thrifting literally all the time like i never shop at first-hand stores anymore but some of these just really hadn’t occurred to me. also i totally agree with your point about thrifting alone, i feel like i find better stuff when i’m by myself
Great advice, especially the respect and mindfulness ☺ Cool shirts!
I love that you mention to be respectful because a lot of people don’t think about that. Plenty of my clothes growing up were from thrift stores (although I always thought that was kind of cool). Also those Levi’s make you look AMAZING! 🤗😍
I love your style so much, smh i want mom jeans so much. you're killing it.
This is my 5th time watching this. I keep coming back to your video because it’s wonderful. You’re the most authentic and genuine ytber with the best advice for thrifting. I don’t know why but no one respects the stores and knows so much as you. Everyone should learn from you, you’re great, love you bye :)
My goodwill doesn't have flat prices. I wonder why.
Megan Taylor me either!
Megan Taylor the one in my town does but the one a town away does it by the pound
This channel is an underrated gem. Also thanks for mentioning the importance of being respectful at thrift stores bc that absolutely is important. Subbed ❤️
omg no way thrift stores in australia be like $8 for a pair of jeans
Shalom Masawi Hey I'm from australia too, have you found which ones are cheap?
Shalom Masawi
In the UK they range from like £2-8 ish
Have you seen Annika Victoria?
Great tips, thanks for posting! I love when you pointed out that it's not cool to try on clothes just to laugh about how ugly they look on you, sometimes even good people are unintentionally disrespectful and take for granted that others may be less fortunate.
HOW do you get high waisted jeans that cute and fitting for 25 cents?!?!
Finally someone mentioned washing items as well as sewing! THANK UUUU! How about a ironing as well. Make what ever you have looks it's very BEST!
I agree, saying that you could fit them if you lost weight, is the complete opposite of body positivity.
Great video!
omg i love family thrift center (im from houston too)
She is so right about being mindful and respectful. not everyone has the money to buy new clothes at the mall or at high end shops. Also it may be embarrassing for some people, especially teens to be seen in thrift shops. it's not a cool experience for every person to shop there. I personally don't care about being seen in a thrift shop because I have the funds to shop anywhere else but thrift shops do sometimes have great finds and new items as well. btw these are some great tips!
im going thrifting today, its honestly one of the only reasons i leave my house
im so glad you made a point to mention that a lot of people shop at thrift stores because they literally can't afford to shop anywhere else!!! ive never seen another youtuber even address that.
also youre so cute and your bum is fantastic.
