I DO NOT FEEL BAD FOR THEM AT ALL. I am Cambodian myself. I was born during the Khmer Rouge. I went many days without food and I saw many deaths at a very young age. By the time I was 10 years old, I saw at least 10 deaths in front of me.
I came to America 30 years ago. I did not speak English. My family had no money. We had NOTHING. I lived in the ghetto, but I chose NOT to do drugs, commit crimes or join any gangs. Now I am now an Engineer. It’s all about choices. I went through the same struggles as these fools but I made something out of my situation.

damn671 it's not about the crimes that were committed. It's about USA's failed judicial system and criminal system.
It's about USA creating a color revolution in Cambodia which set off the killing fields that had most of our friends and relatives killed by the Khmer rouge... And then DEPORTING Back to the same fuckers that killed our families in the first place.
To me it's about BETRAYAL! USA Betrayed the loyal Khmer people who chose sides with the USA before the killing fields, before pol pot.
How the fuck USA illegally bomb, kill 500,000 innocent Khmer people, caused Khmer rouge to form, kill my family then try to deport back to the genocidal regime that killed our family in the first place? Think about that...
      Fuck USA!

Even though we were poor, I didn’t robbed or try to get rich quick. These guys acting like it’s cool to be gangsters. Be a man and be somebody. American dream is a damn lie bro (example history on Coolies Slaves / laborer workers) and Asian was the last to be enslaved in the U.S. The so called richest country in the world (2022) have one of the crazy homelessness in the Western world. U.S need to stop funding useless war and giving aids to countries at wars. The last time we (U.S) have Decoration Of War when we involved in WW2.

If U.S never illegally pulled Cambodia into an illegal War (no decoration of War), we would've lived great calling it "Cambodian Dream" on our forefathers land (like American Dream) without paying taxes while working like a good Americans slaves sheeple. Nor do we have to face racism like every races do in America. If U.S never illegal bomb Cambodia during Ho Minh Trail in 1965, Cambodia would've surpassed Thailand by 1990. I think Cambodian was second or 3rd Asian who won U.S Oscar grammy..

Am Cambodian and I am lil older than most of these guys. I even know some of them. Am I sad for their deportation yes. But do I feel bad for them no. I had it worst than these clowns growing up in Chicago and having to go Tru gang fights and getting bullies from black and Hispanic people's at school and rough neighborhood. I fought for myself and even helped my homies for their stupidity. Most fights are about colors. Bloods and crips. Most troubles are from helping my friends. I was lucky and smart Enough to know what's right and wrong thanks to my father teaching. I became a u.s citizen. Yes I been to jail for gang fights plenty of time and I came out with a misdemeanor nothing major I always do the right thing. I had a choice I became wiser as I got older. I don't owe anything to anyone in the gang community I walked my head's up high because I don't Rob or steal or act tough. I only fight those who act tough. I only want to fight the so call gangster. I don't fight my own ppl. So getting back to my point is we all have a choice. These guys chose a choice at a moment. And that one moment got them deported. Why would you say that? Have some compassion. I also grew up in bad areas and some of my friends were gone (dead); we had a tight knit family and relatives but the outside was so much more. Even though I followed what my parents wanted (for the most part) I understood how easy it was to get sidetracked into the life. I remembered myself in my teens and into the 20s looking out for my friends as they did for me. Whether it was about money, girls, recognition, you cannot really blame anyone for that as it just happens and we learn from it. We were young. Some never get to learn from it (RIP). I ended up joining the military which helped me a bit but still, in the hood it's not just Cambodian kids, it's everyone trying to understand life. Just because you found a way and good for you, doesn't mean that everyone had the same chance, choice, family, education, circumstances as you. So please stop comparing yourself to someone else's struggles. I made it, but I also remembered how much of a tight rope it was just to be here now. If you're living a great life then good for you, but please don't look down on others because they messed up while they were young or just trying to be a part of something. Just know that these folks on this video would probably have done different if they did what they knew now. God bless those that didn't get allowed a chance to change

I grew up in the killing fields, I have families and friends that were killed by the Khmer Rouge just like anyone else that live through that Dark Age. I migrated to the USA just like everyone else. My family literally only have $5 dollars when we escaped to Thai. I grew up in the Project and the Hood. I worked as a newspaper boy. I studied hard to advance in school and educations to better myself. I did not choose to commit crimes like these fools. I did not join gang. They have nobody to blame but themselves. They should feel lucky that they are not back in the Khmer Rouge. They would all have been executed.
Again, do not make this into a propaganda. They are all have been giving a second chances in life after the Khmer Rouge. I have no sympathy for these criminals who tried to victimize themselves and are never at fault for things that happen to them.

Technically these men aren't Americans. If they would've obtained US citizenship and a passport it would have been hard to be deported back to their country of birth. It's a different thing altogether to feel American to become an American. My question is: Why didn't they apply for citizenship in first place? These guys had plenty of time to enquire and fill out a form to become a citizen. They were too busy doing their crimes, drive by shootings, robberies, smoking drugs, just to name a few..... You should've taken responsibility for your own actions. You had a chance to keep living in the USA but you guys stuffed it up. You were all issued with a one way ticket never to be returned.
