Didn't notice this until now but there is actually something "Neil" about you LR - in the style of speaking and the enthusiasm while speaking! It's not an insult - he was a brilliant man.
I would never compare myself to him in any way but that put a smile on my face. This video is getting a little buried and I was feeling a bit down because I'm quite proud of it but this made me smile. Thank you :)
@@LonelyRocker Aw, don't be down at all! It is a great video - folks will catch up to it! There was quite a flood of vids about these captures today, but you did a great job ... very cool new Rush song you put together as well!
Great demo and love the breakdown of your mixes. I’m also a crazy Rush fanatic- how did you record bass tones? Have you added the Ged-Tech21 pedal to your arsenal? 🎸🎸
Thanks so much!!! Glad you enjoyed this. I had a blast making it. I actually have one of the Geddy pedals, the limited edition Moving Pictures one but I did NOT use it for this...my secret weapon for bass is this: ruclips.net/video/uWMtONSZPmU/видео.htmlsi=koGzxNW6yr71aK-O
Nice mix. Really captured that Rush sound! I haven't used any Tonex products as yet, but I'm definitely considering this Lifeson pack. There are so many captures available for Tonex, it's definitely a case of choice paralysis. That's why I like my Tube amp....
Great demo with a great Lifeson vibe! The 4140 Club & Country is actually a very unique amp, and it isn't related to the JMP at all. Marshall designed it as a competitor to Fenders like the Twin Reverb. I've played one in person and the cleans are VERY good. The dirty tones were a bit difficult to figure out, but Alex used them a TON on Moving Pictures, Signals, and Grace Under Pressure, plus a little bit on Power Windows. You can see them in his live rig on Exit Stage Left (paired with Hiwatt half stacks) and on the Grace Under Pressure concert video (just four Club and Countrys stacked).
very cool tune! I like the stacked sounds you have along with the keyboard and bass interactions nicely done! Curious is this tonex the max version or just tonex. Thanks for sharing !
Thanks so much! I have Max but not sure you need Max to purchase the signature packs. All versions of TONEX are the same. It’s just the amount of amps that differs with each bundle.
So the other day I purchased the Alex Lifeson collection of amps. I noticed that it was only the amp captures and contained no presets. My question, does anyone know where I can find presets based on those amps? Can you buy these presets? Has anyone uploaded presets based on those amps to Tonenet? Thanks in advance for any info on this, thanks.
It’s easy just to get in there and make your own. The amp/cab combos sound great as they are and you can just tweak them to your taste. You don’t really need presets.
You can't on a single pedal...Pairing a TONEX ONE with the main pedal is a great combo...Stacking in the DAW is done using multiple instances of the plugin

This was really well done! Great job!
Alex Lifeson was the reason I started playing guitar also! 43 years later I still love playing!
Touché my friend!
@ BTW I definitely could hear the strong Rush influence on your playing. Enjoyed your video completely.

Thanks for the insight. I knew he played combos at one point but didn’t make the connection. Now I want to play a real one!!!
Paging Alex Lifeson!!! Where are you? You need to see this. Amazing song, Dan!!! xoxoxo
Thank you so much kindest of strangers!!! :)))))
What an awesome original! Where can I download it?
Thanks so much!! I actually haven't made it available anywhere. It's short. Perhaps I should finish it??? For now you can keep listening to it here :)
Nice Howard Roberts Fusion III!
That's my baby!!

So does the system use Alex's cabinets that go with each amp to reach the desired tones?
By default yes but you can mix and matcha s you like....

How do I stack the amps in the tonex pedal?

Dude you look Ike you could be his son in that picture.
Well he has been a mentor of sorts 😂😂😂
Beauty Ehh. This hoser can play, Where's your toque. 😂
My Toque is at the cleaners. I’d buy another but 10 bucks is 10 bucks eh! Better spent on more beer! 😂
Blah Blah Blah
OK, the way you built that track, stacking tones, is pure dead brilliant, btw.
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed that 😎🤟🏼🎸
Love the reference
