If you have side air bags, disconnect negative battery terminal FIRST (and make sure it stays to the side to not flex back and contact terminal) before removing door panel. Otherwise, your SRS/airbag light will be on even after you reconnect the airbag and you’ll need an airbag reset tool to turn it off.
Great vid !! One question: Side mirror of my 2004 E46 325i has ribbon wire which I broke just behind the mirror. Ribbon wire seems so hard to fix. So I wonder if I can replace my mirror and wire with a used mirror with non-ribbon wire which is easy to find. Does non-ribbon wire kit retro fit my connector? Thank you.
I ordered some new mirrors, not from you but somewhere else. The issue I have, is that this car had this like, super thin flat wire for the mirrors, instead of the normal ones. How would I connect them? I assume I'll have to channel my inner electrician?
+Juanitois300 We do not have the specific mirror in the video available, but we do carry many different mirrors. Please feel to search our website directly by your year, make, and model to find the mirrors you need.

Thanx for the tutorial 1A Auto, worked just fine.
This is exactly like mine. I ordered one from Amazon and it only had 6 pins. Do you have the oem part number? Thank you for posting this video!

I have the same problem. Did you find a solution?
