Thanks for the nice comments everyone, but I would like to put the record straight on some of the negative comments aimed at Alex.In no way did I feel belittled,or Alex was condescending towards myself.I was made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived ,and we had some good banter during the fitting.This guy knows his stuff,and I would recommend him to anyone.

Peter Johnson just didn’t like some of the little digs towards you Pete. Just over arrogance in my opinion mate. I hope it is just me taking it the wrong way but I got that impression during liams fitting also.

How can you tell what a guy is like from a twenty minute video , Alex clearly knows his craft and I have found over the years a lot of people like that can be very confident people to the point of being rude . What is it with the negative comments about Alex coming through? Too many are getting offended over anything these days just for the sake of it. Alex is great. He has excellent knowledge and uses that along with humour to take the pressure off and help you feel more comfortable so that you swing better. Alongside that he has a funky sales pitch with a couple of jokes in there. Just a loveable character he seems to me.

Darren Leake I did say he really knows his stuff and I’ve no doubt orka clubs are awesome (I use to play rs3 irons) I was just saying the guy comes across a bit arrogant. I think if he toned it down a touch then the experience would be spot on.
@@donrickdon He does come across that way and the reason is he knows what he's selling is going to out do what its against as soon as he starts looking at lie angles and swing weights, and gets the info ebaypete hasn't been fit before.
The swing weight change can be a simple thing like when the grips are changed, tape has been ADDED over the top of the current tape. But he FAILS to mention that so makes it look like a huge negative.

Darren Leake Yes too many negative comments, probably from who have people never been fitted. I wish my fitter would have explained to me what he was doing like Alex explained to eBay. But the result was longer straighter drives.
After watching a few fittings by Alex,I don’t find him arrogant or patronising at all.Could see it being a good laugh and just need to save up now for a fitting! What an absolute star and gent Pete is,would love to see a lot more of him on your channel.

Alex's dry sense of humour may not suit everyone, but the quality of his Club fitting cannot be denied.
I have had a set of Orka Irons for over 18 months and they are the best Irons I have ever hit! I gained a club and a half in length, with more spin, a tighter dispersion in Irons with weaker lofts! They have taken my Ball striking to a whole new level!
Love the technical side of the fitting. Alex really knows his onions!
Another good video Liam. Always enjoy watching an Orka fitting with Alex so I'm a little confused by the negative comments about his style. He must have done thousands of these fittings and he clearly knows his stuff. Even though distance isn't everything the crucial part of this fitting is that the Orka 7 iron is really more like Pete's 8/9 iron in terms of loft so the fact he's increased distance with more loft in his hand is a massive bonus and a major reason why dispersion is better.

Consistency is key in golf and in my eyes Alex seems committed to improving average golfers consistency. I have never been fitted for a club, mainly because I don't trust people with limited technical knowledge. Alex has got excellent knowledge and I'd happily go for a fitting with him, when I can afford his service and clubs. Great vlog, I'm looking forward to seeing your driver fitting and EBay and the Orkas on the hallowed turf of Chorlton Cum Hardy.

He was Trying impress ebay pete with rollout distance! The last thing you want with a 7 iron is rollout distance! You want it to hit the green spin stop...... THE 36 DEGREE ORCA 7 IRON ROLLED OUT MORE THAN THE 30 DEGREE TAYLORMADE!?... how does that even make sence🤷🏻♂️
I’ve never been fitted but I find Alex’s knowledge very informative. I find it fascinating that a good set of fitted clubs can really help the game. Well done Alex!

Nice to see Ebay getting a fitting. As for Alex, and this is just my humble opinion. He put Pete at ease with the bit of banter, which is always a good start. He was clear in what he was telling Pete numbers wise. I would happily go for a fitting with Alex.

Everytime we go to Orka for a club fitting my knowledge regarding the processes doubles. I find it all so interesting in how much with no swing changes how much performance can improve. Of course a proper golf swing is alwsys the largest factor on permanence but it's so good to know proper equipment & fitting have a massive role to play as well.

Fantastic. After seeing Liam’s fitting made an enquiry with Alex and had my fitting two weeks ago. Loved it and can’t wait to get my hands on the new irons. Alex sure does know his stuff. Well worth it. A lot of people want to compare pricing. I’ve gone for the RS10mb with Orkas RH9 pro stiff shaft. They were £140 per iron. So still cheaper than the latest top brands.

Great video Liam. There sure is a lot of knowledge that goes in the club fitting. Alex at Orca sure knows his stuff. I found my driver fitting little overwhelming but it sure works straighter, longer drives and that was goal.👍👍⛳️🏌️🇨🇦

I once went for a fitting & was told my swing was so bad that he wouldn’t sell me any clubs 😂 (true story) I went back to buying clubs on eBay! 👍

Excellent video as always. The club fitter at Orka really knows his stuff and completely goes against everything I have been told by previous club fitters. Once this virus has passed I’d like to get fitted for some Orka clubs.
Alex says at the beginning......when you go to a golf retailer they automatically give you a lightweight graphite iron shaft.....after Pete hits all these shafts......he ends up with.....a lightweight graphite iron shaft.
Fittings are great for the swing you are producing that day. As amateurs', we don't make the same swing every day, so getting fitted isn't going to lower scores.
You'd be better off spending money on short game lessons with your local pro, and practicing them an hour a day for a couple months. Eliminating 3 putts, and getting up/down 60-70% of the time when you miss the green is what will make you better.
I used to be a great believer in club fittings, I'm starting to lean the other way now. Good idea for single figure players but not as important for higher handicapers.
I was thinking the same thing when he ended up in a lightweight graphite shaft. lol
Liam, more of this guy please, I spent a few years with a club maker who spoke the same language back in the early 2000's. As to Crossfield he knows how to manipulate his swing to produce the results on a launch monitor that he requires. not a difficult thing to learn.
The onething i can say about the fitting for Petes clubs is that Alex made him feel at ease which is a good thing well done ALEX and Pete
He's spot on about seniors being given graphite shaft and cavity back heads. I had a set made to measure like that and found that on a full swing they went further,BUT I lost my short game feel,and my scores were therefore higher.

Alex does a good job and gives you all the best advice in choosing your best clubs,he does'nt try and ram an expensive set down your neck he can only suggest what will work best,too many people leaving bad comments on him,do you know Alex,have you met him and had a fitting,(probably not),just haters and nothing better to do but put people down who are doing their job,great video Liam,fear for your fivers

I’m always so impressed listening to Alex. The man knows his craft inside and out. A bit of a waste on eBay though. He’s only going to fancy something else in a few days. Heck, we’d all be disappointed in him if he didn’t! Would like to see more of eBay on the channel though.

I love type of videos!!! It's amazing to me to see how much club fitting has advanced since I last worked in a Pro Shop! I would have loved to be able to have fit each of my client's with the exact clubs for their game! We had some tools help us...but nothing like this!
Now you need to find an very tall #golfmates to get fitted...close to 2 meters tall...like myself! I would love see them fitted!
Had the same fitting with Alex. All I can say is he's a bloody great fitter. Sure he has his speel, but none of it is belittling. And he fit's you right. Never hit better balls, since buying Orka's

I have one question and one question only. Liam, in all honesty, how much has your fitted Orca irons improved you game? A fitted club is just one of so many other things that dictate distance and accuracy. The laws of physics are very demanding when it comes to golf and there is nothing a club fitting can do to alleviate that demand. In my opinion, the average golfer will always be just that, average. Fitted clubs or not.

Absolutely to be totally honest I was starting to play well with them. But the lockdown has killed my swing. So I am working so hard to get my game back together
Theoretically fitted clubs take equipment out of the equation-so errors are on the player
However it is interesting with all the improvements in golf equipment -USGA says average handicap has improved only 2 strokes in the past 30 years !!

What he says is spot on about golf shops, trying to sell you any clubs rather than fitting. At 6’6” I always get my clubs fitted. Costs virtually nothing on something you’re likely to use for years. EBay Pete looked like he’s had a great time rather than what’s cheap on EBay. Are we having a competition to rename him now?😂😂 Orka fitted Pete?
IMO Alex is just doing his job whilst trying to add some humour the point is get fitted if your. Serious about golf the investment one makes is a lot of money and whilst we all get the golf big when we start out times have changed over the past 20 years if you watch any history about Arnold Palmer he was always tinkering with his clubs today’s modern tech is amazing and allows you to understand that golf is about consistency if fitted clubs takes care of 50% of the game then the rest is down to you I purchased a set here in USA from a well known store only to find I had 4 sets put together to make a full set total bollocks so they went back and I got fitted every time and that was 8 years ago today’s modern tech is unbelievable we all just want to go out and hit em asap but just spend the time and learn what a pro fitter tells you it’s all personal as we are all different it’s bloody amazing nice one alex not sure if orka are in the USA might have to go back blighty and pay him a visit,good video hope eBay is happy once he gets out with em

I played cricket to a good league level (all clubs had Pros ) when I got a new bat the size and feel of the grip was the most important thing it didn’t matter a jot which manufacture had made it One of the best bats I had was bought off a Pakistani pro with a name nobody had heard off
I bought some perfect orka sp9 mb blades on ebay for 50 squidies loving them. They look fabulous
i think ebay is a good lad, I also think that people dont need a person dictating to them as to how and why? just my opinion, fitting is always like a lesson, people have to get why they need various things, but not be dictated too! again, just my opinion, good luck liam!

Shaft matters because it will help the golfer make a better transition during the swing and that will help a better strike.

I was due to go for an iron fitting with Ping at Gainsborough, but decided to go to see Alex after watching Liam's fitting instead. I had my fitting last Tuesday. I wasn't too fussed about distance as I was carrying my old 7 iron (31.5 deg) about 150 anyway which I was OK with but was having lots of difficulty with pulling my shots left. Dispersion was generally a bit wild. Turns out my old irons were too light (C7) and half an inch too short. Ended up with RS10 CB with a KBS 110 shaft and the difference in dispersion on the day was massive plus he found an extra 5 yards of carry. Currently being built and can't wait to get out on the course with them. Only got 5-pw though as thinking of making the move to a 4 hybrid. Will be going back up soon to sort that out once my 5i yardages are figured out. All I would say is that there is a lot to take in on the day and felt like I would have benefited from another half an hour to process everything properly and have a bit of a poke around his other kit. Only trouble now is I need to find another excuse for being crap... 🤔
