@@billsmith987 Pool pumps do not create anything like what would be considered a high pressure. Sweep fittings are perfectly capable of handling the 25 lb PSI max pressure flow generated by a pool pump.
Why are the pipes run underneath the gunite? If there's a leak sometime in the future, it would be difficult (near impossible) to fix. Why not run the pipes next to the gunite shell?
I bought a house that had leaking pool pipes. They jack hammed deck out and plaster and removed the old pipes filled in the holes put in new pipes in different spots. These guys dug down the side 10 feet on both sides of my pool to remove all the old plumbing they even got the drainpipe. All done with electric jack hammer and shovels I live in Phoenix were dirt full of rocks and hard as rock dirt. I really didn't need the drain because I had a pool cleaner port installed. It's only good for backwashing to drain it but I don't even use that because city cracked down on backwashing into the street, so I have a smaller submersible. I think they could cut he concrete deck out and replace pipes and replaster inside with a patch. I was doing entire remodel. Sure glad I did it in 2007 cost me 29k I think today it would be 80k
Lol I’ve been doing this for 14 plus years and my dad has been for over 30 years and can tell you this video isn’t gonna teach a beginner how to plumb a pool.
I've been plumbing ingrounds since 98 and I completely agree with you. They did a good job. But the fancy bullshit is unnecessary. Get yourself a regular drain and a regular skimmer. This stuff is way to confusing for your average homeowner
Very excellent job
When do the lights use sponge inside the pipe, cord and jack back 👍🏼
when plumbing a pool why use 90 street elbows, would it be better to use the 90 long sweep elbows for better head pressure management?
Sweep fittings are typically used for non-pressure systems (drainage). Also standard hydraulics take into account a base amount of fittings.

@@chuckschillingvideos lmao good luck blowing fittings
Helpful video…can you explain the purpose of all of the gravel being shoveled?
They run the pipes in the trenches then cover back up once pipes are ran
Wow what a great video! Any other videos showing the excavation, rebar and shotcrete?

pvc or uPvc?
also, what is that tool they use for cutting 2" pipe?
Great Vid btw

Why would you plumb a separate return line for the ozone generator? Why not just plumb it into the main pool return?
Nice team!
Great video
You forgot to lube the O ring on that barrel union.
what sizes of PVC? how many back to the equipment?
He marked then his mates covered the markingsc😂😂😂😂
Where is this located
Where is part 1 ?
that old man is confusing everything go away
No rebar?
I thought I was blind looking for it - ha! This pool is NOT in California that's for sure, this thing would be a steel fortress
they havent got to the steel step yet
What stare was this pool built in?
Texas
It's hard to hear you talking over the shoveling of gravel

These guys definately work by the hour.
Apparently pool sweep fittings haven’t come to Texas yet!!! That’s quite a bit of restriction using elbows.
Good stuff, but damn sloppy job
Damn idk of were allowed to heat up pvc pipes in Cali
Yes. You definitely can. They do this in Vegas
