My dad was stationed at Myrtle Beach AFB in 1974 - '75. We loved it there. We went crabbing a lot too. We'd also drive down to Georgetown and buy shrimp fresh off the boat for a dollar a pound. I would very much like to return to Myrtle Beach one day.
This video didnt tell me nothing that didnt already know,, I`d like to know,,,,, is there a boat ramp at the park??? how much is a license? how many nets/cages can 1 person use?
That crab looks way too docile to have just come from the water. I suspect it was kept out of the water for some time to slow it down. I'd suggest applying a bit of pressure to the back of the crab with a closed toe shoe and then pick it up as demonstrated in the video. Any new crabber that tries the method used in this video is going to be in for a surprise when they are met with a very active crab. You will get bit and it will hurt
Ms. Ann you are the best! We love tour classes!

Cool video. Thanks for the good information.
Is crabbing this way year round? Also if out of state visiting, do you need a license?
Yes saltwater fishing license unless your on a pier that you have to pay to fish on .you fish on their license.
Can you use a crab snare at the state park?

You're not very good at paying attention are you?
Do you need any additional licensing for that particular crab basket
Not in South Carolina for recreational crabbing, regular saltwater fishing license
