The Screaming Jets performed on a live show on a barge in Darling Harbour, Sydney, in 1991. Incredibly, none of the kids leaping from the bridge were killed, injured, or arrested. There's a special tribute by Jets lead singer Dave Gleeson to an old Angus Young gig finale at the end of this clip, after he finishes vomiting up a few buckets of Sydney Harbour.
No drugs were harmed in the making of this video
@CraigAmabello Taking a break but still touring relentlessly otherwise ive seen them 8 times in 4 years and im from Perth, Australia. Last cd they did is called Do Ya sony music australia, As For Dave Gleason he is currently the Singer For The Angels-Angel City in the us as they are known. club colloseum in 1989, adelaide, Richard lent down to me in the front row, and i grabbed his strings, and thrashed them, he just smiled and divebombed the strings and I WAS FUCKIN HOOKED I started playing Lead Guitar that week!
bassplayer came out and asked us all "where the parties were". I said " Ure IT Its Adelaide in winter dude!!
God Bless RICHARD LARA!
Wow, I was actually at this gig. Those people jumping off the freeway overpass nearly got the whole thing shut down. The government extended the forshore afterwards so people wouldn't attempt it again.
Bon would be proud
I was there when they played this concert. Such energy! I couldn't believe it when people started jumping from the bridge, and then the singer from the stage... Fun times! No arrests! :-)
Obviously Howard was his friend. Next door neighbour.
Such good times, they were on top of their game. Rock on the 90's.
God Bless RICHARD LARA!

What's wrong with the singer????
Saw these boys live in the late 80s... Finished the show by saying "If you drink and drive you're a bloody idiot but if you make it home alive you're a fu@#ing legend". Rock & Roll.

Insane! Darling Harbour.
wow jumping off the WD that's just crazy.
@KillaSkep It clearly says at the beginning of the video that it was filmed on Sydney Harbour.
hearmymotoredheart Darling Is a part of the Sydney Harbour... it's a beautiful spot...
yes
from the dirty deeds album 1976
@CraigAmabello Still around Rockn... time off... this and that :)
some songs should be left to the original artist.....this is definitely one of them
WUNDERBAR! ;)
very nice cover! and the gibson sg looks nice in white too... :D
is this AC/DC's song originally? :)
CarlG0932 I guess so, AC/DC arn't the type of band to copy or do a cover someones material
CarlG0932 yes
Was this filmed in Newcastle?
No darling harbour
Best part of this video is watching Gleeson chucking his guts up backstage after trying to be hip and cool with the kids by jumping into Sydney harbour. Lol.
Screaming Jets were at best a mediocre cover band that never deserved the "hype" around them in the early 90's.
As for trying to cover Bon Scott era AC/DC....way to pick a song that demonstrates your limitations as a band. Not worth the steam of Bon's piss on a cold winters day.
