When the stepmother told her to beware of becoming a mans Barbie Doll because he can always get a new one, that made me think that she absolutely does know about whats going on with her daughter. She was most likely the "new" barbie doll when the dad left Keyshawns mother.
Yep, that woman knows and her crying is because she realized she's only the placeholder. That woman brought her daughter(s) into that situation and won't leave due to the lifestyle. Low down woman 🤨
I keep telling ppl, yes the Big Teaks of the world are dangerous. They are loud, tough, & rough. However, it’s the Wody’s who are the most deadly. They watch & plot. Rome would’ve never met with Big Teak alone to the side, especially after his outbursts of anger. Yet, Rome never saw Wody coming 🤷🏾♀️
I’ve had a lil crush on Woddy this whole time,so this episode made me happy 😂😂😂😂. His voice and acting really make the character so chill but a killer at the same time. He had to protect his investment,I aint mad at cha Woddy!

This was a great episode and I wish P-Valley came on every day like a soap opera. Woddy is a true ride or die! I knew he was going to do something to Rome but I didn’t think he was a killer. Perfect casting for this show!
Oh, I knew Rome was about to get got--especially when Keyshawn told Woadie that he knows about Lil Murda and Teak. He was NOT going to allow risk of exposure.
What was so moving was Keyshawn’s delusions of grandeur. For example, there being so much money in the room that she was making money angels (the camera later pans out to show how much money there really was) and all of those flowers surrounding the crib (when he probably just bought a crib). She lives in her own warped version of a fairytale, which is her strategy for survival, sadly.
You know what, that makes sense. Because I was sitting there thinking if he doesn't work how did he get the money for all those flowers. Never even occurred to me that was just her messed up perception of the situation and his "apology".
This is the best episode of P valley by far. I love the spin on the Cinderella story. So many intricate details make the difference- the song choices, the blonde hair, the blue outfits, the clear shoes.
The “would you take me home” line. I think that she noticed he took her to a black restaurant and she was insinuating would you take me, a black girl, home to your white family or your white side of town or am I someone you’re hiding. I don’t know I may be wrong, but I had to rewatch that a couple times.
If Keyshawn’s oldest child is only 3 like she kept telling Derrick, then it’s only been about 4 years since she first got pregnant. She’s probably around 21. Hopefully, this is her breaking point and she leaves him since he’s beating on the kids too.

Yes..it's alot of issues folks don't want to address, cycles of DV; creepy family members, women that look at their daughters as the "other woman" and why some black women date outside of their race; because their skin tone and features are appreciated more by them than their own people.

Man WE(Black/African American) so damn funny, anytime we peep the scene we’ll have a whole ass conversation with our eyes and facial expressions like Keyshawn and Wodie did 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I like they the fairytale storyish style bc that’s how she talked to her baby when she was in the crib. So to see her own episode being told like that fit.
This episode was needed because of season 1; everyone was asking questions about Keyshawn's background because of the colorist ways she was so colorist and why she couldn't leave. The cinematography of this episode. The important gems from everyone who tried to warn her, but she didn't listen.
I liked how they showed Keyshawn backstory. It made us (the audience) sympathize with her. By the way Uncle Clifford was narrating, I think Keyshawn go die at the end of the season. I hope not though. I hope her seeing Derrick beat her son will be her turning point.
My mom got beat by my father, too many times until my mom fought back. She was in the driver's seat and my father was in the passenger seat. They were arguing and my father slapped my mom while she was driving. My mom reached down in the pocket of her driver's side door and grabbed a pair of snips ( a pair of scissors with springs on them a seamstress uses) and stabbed my father in the arm then drove him to the nearest hospital. After that, he did not lay hand on her again. This was over 30 years ago. I feel Keshawn will get tired at some point in this season. All hell will break loose and will not end very well for Derek.
Yes I pray she snaps out of it before it’s too late for her and her children cuz Derrick said “Yes so what THEY get disciplined” which means the little baby girl who’s 1yrs old is getting hit on too n probably worse or not fed etc because she is a girl
My mom pressed charges on my step dad and got his ass locked up now he has an assault charge and a DV charge on his record and this was after many attempts
Throughout the episode I was thinking the white knight was Derrick but it may have been the Fentanyl. Woddy is if you did what needed to be done was a person! Love the many conversations they starting through the show about DV, colorism, COVID, homophobia etc. Much needed, hoping this season we don’t see Mississippi story end like many women in DV situations
I really related to this episode with Keyshawn and her upbringing, my mom and her sisters had a similar story with there dad, he was touching on there oldest sister, who is there half sister and the 2nd oldest as well and my grandma knew about it but allowed it to happen because she came from a poor upbringing and didn't want to go back to that lifestyle smh, she got pregnant at 14 with her oldest and never finished school then proceeded to have 5 more daughters with my grandaddy perverted ass smh, now every last one of my aunties including my momma are all messed up. This is way too common in the black community unfortunately 😕 and no one wants to speak on it so this episode was needed to bring light to this issue
This show was so good... I was over here bawling for Keyshawn. I hope she leaves. They will protect pedos, abusers and deadbeats. And woddy/woady I gained mad respect for him this episode. I was wondering where his loyalty lies.
This episode was so good It was all about Keshawn I didn’t know she met Derrick in school/ college. Keshawn was the black sheep of the family which was so wrong her dad was molesting her sister . Her step mom was terrible this episode had a lot going on Derrick parents where racist also , but all I have to say Keshawn needs to get out before it’s to late about to burn her face with the iron and abusing her child this episode was good and sad in so many ways and uncle Clifford did an amazing job breaking the story Down
I also think that the Stepmom knows that the daddy is molesting the step daughter because of that little speech she gave to Mississippi when she came in
Remember Uncle Clifford said that face was Mississippi's way out. When she begged for him to burn her anywhere with that hot iron but her face, I don't think I breathed. It was gut wrenching.
You forgot that Woadie winked at Rome before he walked out like that murder game they’ve been playing! That sh*t was 🔥🔥! I was also wondering if Woadie grabbed Rome’s phone but I really don’t think that he did!! Oh lawd 😩😩 About Keyshawn’s stepmother, I’m almost positive that she knows her daughter is being molested because when she told Keyshawn about being someone’s babydoll, she followed that with, they’ll always find a new one to buy! How f*ckin crazy is that!!
At the end of the last scene Woddy winked. Symbolizing "real death" at the end. I was like Woddy come through! Excellent writing, acting...hands down the best show on TV right now! This episode gave us so much, colorism, abuse, disrespect from our black men, relationships with men/family, it really showcased what women go through. Good review!
When Woddy winked at us,( the camera) did you dramatically pretend to die? 😂🤣🤣 I did, My husband, who hadn't been watching the series look at me and was like, "What the heck are you doing?" He was so lost😁😁😁
Murda will definitely be 'outed' by the end of the season. Remember that his frenemy has plans to out him. That tape could be multiple places by now. Did Woddy even get Rome's cell phone? It's important to cover all the tracks. And Mississippi definitely should have mapped out her exit plan quietly and quickly. She's probably gonna have to head back to the PYNK now. Hell all of them
I forgot all about the old friend he beat up. Also, now that im thinking about it, word must be going around about Murda anyway(not that he was that careful) because he definitely said something like "you everybody's punk from what I heard"
So that story Keyshawn told the baby in the crib makes sense. I hollered when I saw Patrice in that same diner. Woddy had me geeked when he handled that with Rome he need to get Derrick next. Ashley don’t forget about Gigi Maguire she’s a magic city legend. The two girls she worked with as a trio are in the show ( Brazil and Jupiter)
The 1 thing I didn’t like about this episode is that they didn’t show us how Keyshawn started stripping with Gidget like they could’ve shown us that god damn
If Derrick don’t die by the end of the season, I’ma be mad. Glad that Woddy came to save the day, sort of. I had a feeling Rome was not doing stuff out the kindness of his heart since the first season. It all came out. I didn’t even notice he had his stuff out until I rewatched it. I was like👀👀. The fact that he had a video of Lil Murda and Big Teak, I was like ummm sir lol. Now Teak gotta go too, imo. This was an episode that was needed so we can see how Keyshawn came to be and why she acts the way she does.
It’s Mississippi! They have to address colorism… Those step sisters was not attractive just like the sisters in the Cinderella cartoon. Anastasia and Drizella
So Derrick treats Keyshawn like that because he comes from money and his family cut him off because he fell for a black woman and his father use to beat the hell out of him damn
Someone said Keyshawn probably pissed him off in the end as a set up so that when CPS comes they’ll see she’s being abused as well. I hope that’s true. I love the way they showed her life through the story of Cinderella because she’s seen as just a pretty face but there’s so much more to her than that.
I think Keyshawn was asking will he take her home.. but it’s take me home.. but since she’s black.. will he take her home to his family.. I believe that’s what she meant…
I didnt trust Woadie at first! He alwaysss sneaking up everywhere 🤣 .This man work in a funeral home he know some thangs ! Rome was crazy as hell to take drugs from Woadie . I do think Keyshwan and Woadie would be a good look. I love a good backstory thats why i was so hooked on American Horror Story because it always gave you a good backstory of the characters. That necklace was Keyshawn protection all hell about break loose now that she snatched it off .😬
I was waiting on your review you always bring the episode to life! Did y'all see how the daughter jumped when her father had his arm around her when they took the picture 🤔🤔Creepy SOB
I saw that. And thought maybe that's why the step mom was crying because she sensed the dad likes the daughter. Plus the daughter's stomach looked like a pregnant stomach but I know it's the South with the thick girls but...
This whole episode I was like where is Keyshawn mama? Like how the Dad end up with full custody? If she was so irritated by the stepmom why not go live with her mom because she was definitely old enough to decide that for herself. I was so excited because when she put her son down and closed the door I just knew she was about to fuck Derrick up. It hurt my heart when he bear her again. But the DV survivor in me understood. Shit you THINK would be a person's last straw isn't. Especially when they don't have any self love.
@@mizzmiami3242 Yep. I'm like oo so if your Dad and stepmom don't wanna be bothered why not turn to your mom? Especially if you're about to be a mom. And I feel like if the mom wasn't alive they would have mentioned that. I guess we just aren't suppose to think too much into it. Lol
This was one of the better episodes of this season I loved how they focused soley on Keyshawn because we were asking to see why Keyshawn was drawn and stuck with Derrick now we understand her father wasn’t crap at all the stepmom didn’t like Keyshawn because Keyshawn knew the stepmom stole the father from the mother and she treat Keyshawn so wrong
This episode gave so much background to Ms Mississippi. I love how the story is told. Rome was grimy as shit but the actor who plays him is Fione as Fuck 🥵🥵
That episode was triggering , I usually rewatch them but imm have to sit this week out. It was such a good ass episode tho , I just wish Mississippi grabbed that damn iron and swung it at derricks head instead of verbally comforting him .
This episode was a eye opener about Mississippi . I hope Woddy got the phone and that he helps get Derrick next episode . They should’ve played pretty hurts by Beyoncé at some point of this episode . Great review as always ☺️
And probably why he said they couldn't go with them to Joseline's after party. He had that video and was gonna keep using it to push them out the tour.
This episode was beautifully written and very true to life for how so many women especially in the black community end up tethered to ain't shit ass abusive ass crazy men. It makes me legit want to cry for her you can tell she just wants to be loved and be free and every man around her wants something from her and wants to take from her. Even the saviors end up wanting to keep her light in their box trust I can see Wody turning into a 2.0 Derrick with the quickness. Any mam that can cooly look in somebody's eyes while dying is definitely dangerous. The real tea is Key doesn't need ANY MAN she's beautiful, personable, funny, smart as hell, and talented! She has no need for nobody but herself but her insecurities and desire to save these raggedy niggas (Derick included) is going to destroy her... SMH this was long winded but this topic is close to my heart. So many amazing beautiful women have been lost too soon to situations like this.
This episode was the best so far. They put so much thought into the details and story telling. Most of it is going go over a lot of people's head. But, I watched it twice to catch EVERYTHING. I'm hooked on PValley🔥🔥
This episode was real heavy. Derrick and Rome was dressing Mississippi up to be who they wanted to her to be and she truly cannot be herself. Step mama actress from beauty shop as well and sis was Nikki from Greenleaf. The whole you're too dark skin, you're not beautiful, dark has to work harder to be acceptable has been a theme throughout this show
The part that compelled me to pause the TV, was when Keshaw was pleading with Derrick saying: "Anywhere but my face!" All the while, she was caressing and fondling Derrick's face to soothe him. man that messed me up.
I don't care what anyone says. Lmfao WODDY IS A REAL ONE. He legitimately asked this man how does he want to be buried. WHO JUST ASKS A QUESTION LIKE THAT!?!?! 😆😆😆 This episode was GOODT. #PValley
I don’t know if its because i was high when watching but Was it just me that thinks this episode was lowkey scary to watch, the cinematography of the abuse, subtle hints of molestation, the colorism & seeing rome true intentions was so raw and dark

Sure hope she gets her shit and gets away from they abuser! She has all the necessary evidence to get his ass arrested!
The doctors should’ve called cps!!! Then he should been in jail for beating Keyshawn in front of the kids
@@BeenMIA not if she has a good lawyer. Self defense
Aww man god bless your mama
I said this too! The "white knight" is definitely the fentanly
Its derrick too lmao
This is the review I was waiting on!!!
Keyshawn is young AF! She was 17 maybe 18 when she got pregnant and the oldest is only three.
Yeeesss!! The stepmother is the cousin in Phat Girlz .. and I couldn’t stand her in there either!! Lol
Ironically I’m watching Phat Girlz right now! 🤭
@@missshebababy go head girlfriend!
I knew shelooked familiar!!! She looks like lark Voorhees from saved by the bell
This show was so good... I was over here bawling for Keyshawn. I hope she leaves. They will protect pedos, abusers and deadbeats. And woddy/woady I gained mad respect for him this episode. I was wondering where his loyalty lies.
I thought Diamond might be the one to save her but Woddy looking like the one.
@@pumpkinspice1478 same here !
This ep was very good despite everything Mississippi went through , I really enjoyed this ep . And love your review and commentary
when Woddy started sharing his funeral home stories about the closed caskets i hollered
That was probably the best episode in the whole series! Focused, emotional and surprising
So intense , I loved it !
This episode was so gooood. I knew he was probably gone start abusing those poor babies. It was so sad at the end
This episode was so good It was all about Keshawn I didn’t know she met Derrick in school/ college. Keshawn was the black sheep of the family which was so wrong her dad was molesting her sister . Her step mom was terrible this episode had a lot going on Derrick parents where racist also , but all I have to say Keshawn needs to get out before it’s to late about to burn her face with the iron and abusing her child this episode was good and sad in so many ways and uncle Clifford did an amazing job breaking the story Down
I also think that the Stepmom knows that the daddy is molesting the step daughter because of that little speech she gave to Mississippi when she came in
Derrick needs to be next to get that wink...
Factz
Remember Uncle Clifford said that face was Mississippi's way out. When she begged for him to burn her anywhere with that hot iron but her face, I don't think I breathed. It was gut wrenching.
Omg I forgot about that iron
I’m HERE FOR WODDY. I always thought he was fine but now………..😮💨😮💨😮💨
Patrice as the waitress had me laughing so hard lol
This was "Cinderella" type mess. Evil stepmom white knight saves the day. Being bullied called ugly. Home before midnight
You forgot that Woadie winked at Rome before he walked out like that murder game they’ve been playing! That sh*t was 🔥🔥! I was also wondering if Woadie grabbed Rome’s phone but I really don’t think that he did!! Oh lawd 😩😩
About Keyshawn’s stepmother, I’m almost positive that she knows her daughter is being molested because when she told Keyshawn about being someone’s babydoll, she followed that with, they’ll always find a new one to buy! How f*ckin crazy is that!!
Yes I be looking for the winks now every week and Gidget was the killer last week.
I've been waiting for your review. This was a great episode!
All I know is Woddy is the MVP this episode 😌
So that story Keyshawn told the baby in the crib makes sense. I hollered when I saw Patrice in that same diner. Woddy had me geeked when he handled that with Rome he need to get Derrick next. Ashley don’t forget about Gigi Maguire she’s a magic city legend. The two girls she worked with as a trio are in the show ( Brazil and Jupiter)
I dnt want woody to get Derrick bcuz he will learn hard like diamond did let Keyshawn figure it out! Period
She won’t get it then until it’s too late
POV: The episode comes on and I hear Uncle Clifford narrating.. “See this is why PValley gonna make it”! This episode was EVERYTHING!!!!!
The 1 thing I didn’t like about this episode is that they didn’t show us how Keyshawn started stripping with Gidget like they could’ve shown us that god damn
Yea and where are her stepsister nw
IKR!
I was thinking the same thing and where the hell is the step sisters now and that step mama
It’s definitely coming
@@brittanyratcliff9588 yes the sisters and what happened with her nasty dad and step sister
Woddy is the grim reaper at this point! All I know is him and Keyshawn need to find Roman‘s phone immediately!!
Big Teak jealous. Imagine him and Uncle Clifford having words over Lil Murda. That's good television.
@@pumpkinspice1478 YESSS
Why Teak gotta go? 😭
@@Phoenixxx1227 lol right now he can live but he think about harming uncle clifford then he gotta go😂😂
Ashley Miller you better SPEAK on what’s more acceptable on a family, being Gay or being a predator
“Oooo Chile the lightskins are flipping hair Chile.” 🤣🤣🤣🤣 uncle Cliff !!!!!!
Someone said Keyshawn probably pissed him off in the end as a set up so that when CPS comes they’ll see she’s being abused as well. I hope that’s true. I love the way they showed her life through the story of Cinderella because she’s seen as just a pretty face but there’s so much more to her than that.
Woddy is a loyal homie and a killa but a terrible manager… let’s be honest. He not making enough moves for lil murder.
“Where Ya Been Penny?” 😂😂🥺
Episode shouldve been called “men ain’t shit: black or white, except Woaddy”
Your review was EVERYTHING! Thank you, Ashley. And no, I don't remember Woadie getting Rome's phone, and that's going to be a whole problem.
This was a good and heartbreaking at the same time so sad, I want Woadie to give Derek the same treatment as he did with Rome.
I think Keyshawn was asking will he take her home.. but it’s take me home.. but since she’s black.. will he take her home to his family.. I believe that’s what she meant…
You’re absolutely right ...
NEVAHHHHHH been THIS early!! It was the BLINK 😉 fah ME🙌🏾!!😆😆
Baby I will be tuning in every week! You are a VIBE!!!
Yes. I wonder if that will be addressed
I saw that. And thought maybe that's why the step mom was crying because she sensed the dad likes the daughter. Plus the daughter's stomach looked like a pregnant stomach but I know it's the South with the thick girls but...
Even ol girl falling off the pole was viral too, wasnt it?
This whole episode I was like where is Keyshawn mama? Like how the Dad end up with full custody? If she was so irritated by the stepmom why not go live with her mom because she was definitely old enough to decide that for herself.
I was so excited because when she put her son down and closed the door I just knew she was about to fuck Derrick up. It hurt my heart when he bear her again. But the DV survivor in me understood. Shit you THINK would be a person's last straw isn't. Especially when they don't have any self love.
Seems like the father has money so she went to live with them..but when she got pregnant and kicked out , there were no mention of Keyshawn ‘s mom 🤔
Lol
@@cordellaturner767 yea I’m trying to learn to stop that with shows. I’m like these characters are not real just based on real things
loved your review...😂😂😂 love how you reviewers be getting the tea we miss. I'm finna watch this ish again..😂😂😂
That part there.🔥
Yesss
@Marquest Q His name is Blue Kimble who plays Rome
Woddy for president!!! he got balls.
That episode was triggering , I usually rewatch them but imm have to sit this week out. It was such a good ass episode tho , I just wish Mississippi grabbed that damn iron and swung it at derricks head instead of verbally comforting him .
I read/heard that nasty phrase before, "yellow wasted", saying person got the favorable complexion but not the hair texture or facial features.
Wonder what happened to Keshawn’s mother
Woody done won my heart
When you said where you been Penny I lost it🤣
This episode really broke my heart. But oh Woddy. Woddy came through in the clutch.
The way Ashley is screaming was me watching him!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣I was like KEYSHAWN, RUN!!!!!!!!!!
This episode was a eye opener about Mississippi . I hope Woddy got the phone and that he helps get Derrick next episode . They should’ve played pretty hurts by Beyoncé at some point of this episode . Great review as always ☺️
That’s why Murda wasn’t performing. Rome already had that incriminating footage……..
Teak and Lil Murda arguing like the damn Honeymooners 😒 Bruuuuh!! WHO CANNOT PEEP THAT MESS!!
This episode was real heavy. Derrick and Rome was dressing Mississippi up to be who they wanted to her to be and she truly cannot be herself. Step mama actress from beauty shop as well and sis was Nikki from Greenleaf. The whole you're too dark skin, you're not beautiful, dark has to work harder to be acceptable has been a theme throughout this show
What’s funny is that the prom was in the house from Greenleaf
The part that compelled me to pause the TV, was when Keshaw was pleading with Derrick saying: "Anywhere but my face!" All the while, she was caressing and fondling Derrick's face to soothe him. man that messed me up.
Woody said "I like the hair that grow out your head", that's the realest-ish ever. I approve.
I just finished the episode and ran over here for the review
I don't care what anyone says. Lmfao WODDY IS A REAL ONE. He legitimately asked this man how does he want to be buried. WHO JUST ASKS A QUESTION LIKE THAT!?!?! 😆😆😆 This episode was GOODT.
#PValley
He does work @ the funeral home & drives a hurst on a daily.
I don’t know if its because i was high when watching but Was it just me that thinks this episode was lowkey scary to watch, the cinematography of the abuse, subtle hints of molestation, the colorism & seeing rome true intentions was so raw and dark
Lol I was thinking the same thing but I always watch high so probably lol 😆 😂
@@clintoniadavis1705 thank god i’m not the only one, watching this high felt like a horror movie 😂
The number of times I screamed "is that a dick?!" This season. 🤣😂🤣
