Fred Dibner was indeed a legend! I think both he and Gordon would be tickled with your end product. I worked as an inspector investigating industrial accidents for the Dept of Labour. During one such involving a failure on a window-cleaning suspended scaffold I watched a man rope himself up meticulously before going down the side of the building. When he’d finished I complimented him on his fastidious preparations. He replied: “I’m a qualified steeplejack and I’m $#*t-scared of heights!”
Gday Ade, sorry to hear about your father in law, Fred was an amazing man, i think I’ve watched every episode on YT of Fred and he was a true gentleman and a funny bugger to, beautiful job on the engine mate, cheers
