You saw things I didn’t when I went solo in 2012, but you’ve inspired me to return xx

It’s a fab city Barbs - I absolutely loved it. I would go back too as I don’t think I even touched the surface. Maybe next January 😜

That is such a true thing to say being on your own in a lovely place be it town , country or by the sea just no one to sure with . 😟😟

It is tough sometimes but exhilarating at other times. I used to travel with my gran a lot and if she didn’t come with me we enjoyed talking about it when we got back. I miss that but this is why I enjoy RUclips because I can have those conversations with others ❤️

Sally, you are my number one fan ❤️ Your kind words really are appreciated as my internal imposter often tells me otherwise! I need to shrug them off more often. Can’t beat gambas pil pil - I’m hoping it’s soon going to be time to get the cadac out on a field with a glass of cava when the rain finally stops…after what feels like 3 squillion days 🤣

@@menopausalmotorhomer 😂🙌 that imposter syndrome is a real bitch isn’t she!! If you ever bring Elaine down to Cornwall you must call in for a glass or 2 of something cold 🥂

Lovely vlog Jo, and it was nice to hear you talk about your nan ❤ Good for you for getting out and about in a city alone, and eating out too! It's something I (Dan) struggle with, and usually need Stephen with me, so I admire you for that!
Barcelona looks fab...we were put off as we didn’t think we could take our van due to the clean air zone and it feeling unsafe to park, but I think a campsite just outside the city would be perfect if we're down that way again ❤

Dan, I would go back in a flash. I completely fell in love with the city and there is so much more to explore. The transport links are epic and the bus journey in is so easy. I’m loving my solo travel era but it’s also nice to have someone to enjoy it with sometimes too…especially the eating/ drinking out parts. In hindsight, I wish I had stayed an extra day now as I left far too much time to drive through France which was freezing 🙈

@@menopausalmotorhomer You've definitely made us reconsider Barcelona, and loving your solo travels. I think it's inspirational to many who might have considered travelling alone, you show it's possible. But I know what you mean, company is good too sometimes. If we ever meet on the road we'll definitely join you for a drink or meal out 😍❤

Have an amazing time Geraldine. I can’t wait to go back one day and hopefully my daughter will come with me as I think she would love it too. Solo travel is so empowering (I say on my current adventure…watch this space 🇮🇹)
