As a person who would personally vote for a male fit (ONLY if they fit the theme, had a great outfit, etc) here's my reason. Male fits are kinda challenging to make especially if you're not used to making detailed male fits, AND considering the amount of male items we have compared to female ones.. Plus, they usually put a lot of effort to make it look good, so that's why I tend to vote em a lot of the times when they have a good fit! I only tend to not vote for them whenever the said person with the male fit didn't even seem to try, or looked plain, or maybe didnt even put effort into their fits, only then I wouldn't vote them since a lot of other people had put effort into their fits aswell, and sadly there are some ppl who dress up like boys just to win sometimes. But that's my point of view and reasons!
As a boy that plays royale high that's my opinion: IT'S HARD TO DO A MASC OUTFIT THAT ISN'T BASIC OR EXACTLY LIKE ANY OTHER MASC OUTFITS. that's why I do outfits using the girl's body type and accs
i dressed as a guy for 5 months straight in every possible game (including my roblox avatar itself) and i'd get either 1st or 3rd most of the time, even if the fit is HORRIBLE, i'd still win, unless i had other masculine competitors
Tbh I mostly pick by the outfits even if its 1 on a lower budget like if to vote a lower lvl player with a modest fit that follows the theme if better than voting for a flexer or afk farmer and the same thing to genders

I think this theory would have turned out more correct and true if you had a friend play a male character and be in the same game. As you both could just wear matching outfits just one girl version and one boy version that way u have a more even playing ground and see who comes 1st more often.

in most of the server i play on in sunset island the boys usually win atleast 2 times like one time there was a person with a masculine avatar it looked like it was just their roblox avatar and they didnt even dress up and they won first place and no one even complained about it
in my experience, boys win usually bc their rich (and also have like every accessory in the game), are more rare, and usually play with a friend whose a girl who prob votes for them. (unrelated but a lot of the times their also gay)

As a guy uhhh i dont play sunset island enough but the times i get dragged over to play… maybe??? I won once but i accidentally got in late and didnt have time to make an outfit but i blame that mostly on the “pick the avatar that didnt follow the theme” thing. Male avatars wouldve won 10/10 in the old RH where guys were basically swarmed because they were a guy. But this has mostly calmed down and doesnt happen much anymore ngl thank god cuz social anxiety exists- lmao

I always dress as a male, I rarely ever win, the server is full of people with nice clothing, honestly, the game doesn't do much justice for boys as we do not have many styles to choose from, unlike the girls.

Wow the minotaur is a pretty unique idea, but I’m sure the only reason why it didn’t win was because people don’t know what it is and it’s also not the first thing that crosses your mind with the word “fairytale,”so it’s more ideal to be a princess or fairy even though it’s easier and more common. Also your hypothesis isn’t a bad one, but usually male outfits are decent enough to get in the top 3. Being a male isn’t gonna change anything most of the time, but having a good (or somewhat decent) outfit will. Sorry for writing a paragraph 😔
