Ever think about adding in some louvers in the back of the front fenders to let the air flow through. I would think with the extra width would make a noticeable difference in the air drag. Also this is an awesome build and you are doing awesome with a small shop, big project , and a handful of good tools.
Around me only half the tire has to be covered to be street legal. You might like it being all covered better anyway, less mud and rock being thrown up. Great vid as always!
Thanks! I use that little butt clamp for holding the new sheet metal to match the fender curve while I weld on each side of it to get that profile just right. Ideally I'd have several on something that large, but I've misplaced them haha.
I love this project kind of like if dodge had made a 1 1/2 ton truck for the army post war. It’s got a Chevy G506 look which I really love. Are you going for an original style bed?
Thanks! It does kind of resemble a G506- such a good looking truck! I am going for an original style bed, though it will be longer than the original M37.
I have a u.S. Army 1952 M37 I am restoring with the original flat head 6 L . Here in Nevada these can not be used as daily drivers thanks to legislation pushed through by the previous Democratic Governor. It can only be registered for shows and off road use.
what are you looking for with these big engines its got to be very expensive these tks were not made to go fast already geared down to clime a tree --LOL
The engine compartment looks awesome with that Cummins in it
That old truck is really coming in good!
It's starting to take shape! haha
Those fenders look massive!
They are huge, I think they're near 24" wide in the portion up near the grill. They certainly didn't get any lighter!
Very good job 👏👏👏
Frikkin awesome!
You're doing a great job. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks!

Not a bad idea! I'll see if I can incorporate something in there. Thanks!

Outstanding work! 17:27 What’s the little blue square tool with a wing nut on top for?

Why not go fast AND climb trees? LOL
