I love the honesty from your dad…it takes a real Christian man to admit their wrongs. My heart was aching when he told the story of the lost of y’all siblings. Ever since y’all showed that photo of your family when y’all were kids I wondered why you guys haven’t mentioned them or why they have never been on your or Mary’s channel but now I understand. So sorry for your lost😔🙏🏾
@Simply MEnique I wondered the same thing after learning they had a brother! They’ve mentioned the loss of their sister before but until Christmas I never knew they had a brother either! Thank God for their strength to be able share that news! 🙏🏾

Gordon does seem a bit distracted I miss his sense of humor. I agree we all change we’re not the same person we were from year to year but we have to learn to adapt to one another in order to have a strong marriage like your parents. Awesome job!
Gordon seemed to be disengaged in the past few videos almost unhappy. I pray that whatever his internal struggle is (if there is one), the Holy Spirit will speak to his heart and provide truth, wisdom, and guidance.
Pray for, encourage, share a great scripture for others as we pray they are also encouraging and sharing with us. Father GOD put the Holy Spirit in their pathway for the needs of this present age. Let there be a smile, a compliment or some form of Love showing Jesus Christ sacrifice. Let us win others through our lifestyles.
I totally agree with Gorden. Individual counseling addresses childhood trauma. If you are a black person specifically a black person grew up in the south, childhood trauma is much more (in my opinion) prevalent due to extreme disadvantages we encountered. Not saying black folks who grew up in North or mid-west (although they migrated from the south) didn't encounter a lot of disadvantages but it seems like southern folks went through a lot and it shows up in adulthood if we don't address it.

Stay Together ~ Don't listen to people Who Didn't!, It pschologically damages the children & you'll look back several Cities & States later and see the importance & how "INVALUABLE" staying together is and becoming a better, closer, & a stronger TEAM !! Too many people think the grass is greener on the other side, people the truth is. The grass is greener where you water it! Talk to a Man that knows, STAY TOGETHER !

Agreed very good conversation. Gordon said it when he said we look to our spouse to fill a void that wasn't meant for them to fill. ONLY CHRIST can fill that! I waa really blessed by this conversation

This is such a great Round Table Talk. I thoroughly enjoyed the suggestions of the couple in different stages of their marriage. Your parents...MY GOODNESS....they are STALLIONS to have been able to go thru such heartbreak and keep their marriage and keep the household together. Allll the glory belongs to God. What perfect examples of Love your daughters will have as they grow into young women. I would love to see more talks like this between all the couples or maybe even friends of yours that are married. I love this video! My hubby and I have been married for 15 years and we are a blended family. We are both from single house hold but raised differently. I’m more reserved and can be passive at times and he’s more aggressive and hold nothing back. We have a lot of conflict because of it but God!!! So many times I wanted to walk away as well as he wanted to also but God will not allow it. I love that you guys spoke about counseling especially Gordon saying to get individual counseling first them couple/marriage counseling. We have a lot of the support you guys spoke about except we don’t have married friends or mentors. Every marriage is different and I must admit, I was expecting the fairytale!!! @MsNaturallyMary stating you must constantly learn and study your spouse…so true!! If your foundation is God in your marriage and life then no matter what you have to face God will get you through it!!!🙏🏾👏🏾👍🏾💯
I would have loved to hear more from your parents! Im sorry to hear of the loss of the other 2 siblings/children… I knew of a couple who endured a loss as your parents & he too agreed with your dad it was the worse struggle in their marriage! You guys made some key points! Effective communication is effective & most importantly there has got to be a want!!! Marriage is work unfortunately harder for some than others! But both parties has to be willing & want to work, change, accept change & grow!

Beautiful chat especially with mama and papa adding their take with their children and in-laws. We could learn something from our parents even single parenting work through struggles, learning to share their space with their partners and at the same time learning to parent child/children. Thanks Martha and Gordon, Jairad and Mary for sharing so openly about marriages. 2 generations of family and 2 husbands that's a good thing. Mama and Papa should be proud of their girls 💃🏿💯💃🏿

Martha, this was as beautiful as you are. Mom & Dad, thank you for birthing two beautiful daughters who share their lives with us. Great conversation, even though Gordon’s body language & looking up & down is interesting. There’s no doubt God was at work in the meeting situation, He was in control of Gorden when he got your number but prayed for Mary. God don’t make mistakes, we do when we go against His will. Gorden God richly blessed you with Martha, it’s evident. I agree with things you said Gorden. But another thing we found out , is that there is no room for selfishness or self-centeredness, it’s 100% from both with wisdom, understanding, prayer…. Women are receivers, delicate but “strong” & their job whether home or working is hard too, they work after they get home too. Wisdom explains all things in personal homes. God said husbands are to love wives like He loves the church, that’s a powerful love. Never let what ifs, maybe(s) have an opening in any marriage, especially when you see the hand of God. You guys are blessed with a double anointing & it’s on the girls too. Continue to be great examples of God’s blessing in marriage. I love the way Mary & her spouse had eye contact & warm touch contact . Martha, thank you & the fam for this vlog it spoke volumes. We have to do this the Ephesians way bcse it’s the word. Marriage is work you're forever going to be in a learning experience. Whatever you have done to get that woman or man you must continue to do & add spice in a relationship. 😊😊 When you're growing sometimes that is a good thing where both can elevate. Keep your individuality.

They both met Gordon at the same time. They are all just really close. Gordon been around a long time. I’m not sure if you follow Mary’s channel but they are close! Mary was just poking fun at Gordon is how i took it. Jerard also teases Mary but i don’t think he took it in a hurtful way. To watch this family is a joy! I think this video was made with love! We have to be careful of the things we say as subscribers b/c not everything is something. Positivity is so powerful
Hi 🤗 So a few of you all have made this comment, so let me clarify in hopes to clear this up. 😅 The part in Martha & Gorden’s story that involves me is a joke amongst the 3 of us. Whenever they share their story, either Gorden brings it up, Martha brings it up, or me…This time it just happened to be me. It’s something we all laugh about. 🤣 Jerard was not bothered by it at all. If you all really knew Jerard, you’d know that he’s not bothered by much of anything. 😅 Please don’t read into that. Our family and friends, and the people who really know us, know that this is nothing and also find the humor in it. Jerard knows it’s nothing as well. I’m actually shocked that you all reacted to that part of the convo in this way. Martha was shocked by that too. But, trust me it’s all love, and family banter…😅 Thanks for watching! I really enjoyed getting other couples responses to burning questions about issues that may arise in marriage. My husband and I have been married almost 13 yrs and we too have 5 children. We have definitely experienced a ton of ups and downs and sometimes I personally have felt like walking away, but I call on God for his help and strength. Gordon definitely seemed to be in deep thought or something during the video. I love your family! I pray God blesses your marriage even the more and helps you both work through any differences that you both may be experiencing.
Yes you definitely go through seasons in marriage and if someone is saying they don’t, they are not being honest. But as long as you keep Jesus at the center, you will make it!!💯
