Keep in mind that I thought of this au in like 10 seconds so maybe it doesn't make the most sense 🙏: Sanemi didn't cheat and Kanae wasn't a homewrecker. Sanemi was in love while in a relationship with Giyuu, something he couldn't help, so he broke up with him. From his point of view, he didn't realize he had been hurting Giyuu so much while in the relationship, simply because he wasn't thinking of giyuu at all, but was thinking of Kanae all the time. Kanae had nothing to do with all this. She didn't know Giyuu was suffering like this, and didn't know Sanemi was a bad boyfriend to Giyuu. She also liked Sanemi, and when he was single, they went for it. Giyuu, although he didn't do anything wrong, still feels guilty for denying Sanemi of comfort, and for thinking badly of Kanae while she was alive. He thought Sanemi would get bored of her, or she'd fuck up in the relationship, or whatever. He feels guilty because he was thinking badly of someone who never did anything wrong, and since she's dead, he won't ever get to apologize. Sanemi, when he went to Giyuu for comfort, didn't know Giyuu had been hurting so much (bc he had been selfish and wasn't thinking about his feelings) so when he didn't want to comfort him after his girlfriend had died, he felt hurt, bc he thought they still meant something to each other. Overall, Giyuu did nothing wrong, sanemi was a bad boyfriend and selfish, but not a cheater, and Kanae did nothing wrong 💪
like... , if anything happen in the next part, i hope it's abt Giyuu finally realize that it is not his fault but THEM. Just give him someone to feels loved, anyone, Rengoku, Murata, Iguro, literally idc give him someone.
