This is a great rendition. The intro notes are a bit misleading. Song written @ 1979”s by Mike Cross, an American, still alive at 77. Played mostly on Dr. Dementor’s radio show. Most well know version by Bryan Bower. The Irish Rovers did a version, but this could be Bowers?
Judging by the girls’ reaction when they lifted the kilt they didn’t expect what he revealed at the end. They must not have told to girls to get a genuine surprise. Very funny version!
I was slightly horrified at first because I thought the young women were little girls. I was glad for the close up of their faces. Edited to add I love the Scots, and I was tickled to discover I have Scottish heritage. However, I wonder if me and my folks were illegitimate, bc as far back as I can go everybody was from Ireland...I was excited and surprised when my DNA came back 40% Scottish.
Props to the guy playing the Scotsman
By far better than Despacito
Indeed
Alexa, play despacito
This song even 10 years later is still hilarious!
This song was written in 1981. When you commented, it was 40 years old.
@@kshu6600 I am aware of that. I didn't hear the song until 11 years ago and I thought it was too damn funny
Makes sense
It would be even funnier if they hadn't left out the second half of the song.
Yep, one of the best versions I heard so far. Cheers!
I'm from Slovakia and it's better then 90% of our actual scene
🤣
