Fabulous rendition of this old Appalachian spiritual. There are so many different versions of this song and I'd not heard this one before. Try the arrangement by The Melrose Quartet on their brilliant "Fifty Verses" Album. I think they must have been listening to this YT recording when they put it together!
There is a much better sounding recording of this on the Peter Bellamy compilation "Wake The Vaulted Echoes" but it doesn't seem to be available on RUclips and, unfortunately, that set is now out of print.
I was there when this was recorded, I was in the recording studio in the basement of Cecil Sharp House. Royston Wood was a friend.
