Lovebites are the best that could have happened to metal music. The elegance and incredible ease with which they cover the full spectrum of the genre and then further develop it is unprecedented in my opinion. Other bands can give me good times, but Lovebites go beyond that - they make me happy.

GREAT reaction by the way. TRIPLE !!! i,ve seen a double now and then but man you are breaking the bank with 3 songs. the only downside is that you can't save one for later. the upside is that there is still much to see and hear. you can never get too much LOVEBITES. i'm loving that you get miyako right from the start. her calm and stoic demeanor as opposed to midori's crowd pumping moves are special to me. she has this soulful expression a lot of the time that tells you she is really into her playing. i've heard more than one reactor complain about her not moving around too much but they aren't paying attention.
there are a lot of LOVEBITES tshirts out there for purchase and i have 3. the only thing that disappoints me is that i have not been able to find one with their photo on it. i am asked often what LOVEBITES is and i go into a rundown on who they are and give some details. if i had a picture on a shirt i would simply point to them and say " they are just the best band of badass ladies you've ever heard" !

As I've commented on other reactors' channels...bands write songs, Lovebites composes masterpieces. The bands today just don't write music like Lovebites, imho. A Frozen Serenade being the perfect example. They do face melting thrash then drop that on you...unreal. What other metal band does that, none I can think of. I love metal, grew up on 80s metal - they are my favorite band period...without a second thought. They are all 11s out of 10s skill-wise, however, Haruna is the MVP for me. She's on-time every time and the driving force 99% of the time. She may be 4' 9" but plays like an absolute giant. Pound for pound, her pace is unmatched...to think she does that for 90-120mins is insane. Love your double / triple play reactions! Recommend you do The Apocalypse / Under the Red Sky / Above the Black Sea all live. First 2 are about Hiroshima bombings and last one believe they envisioned having to do with Kamikaze pilots. Thunder Vengeance was the 2nd song I ever saw by them, and it sealed the deal for me. When I first saw Frozen Serenade....wow. Even further up love and admiration for them(which I didn't think was possible).😍

"When Destinies Align" was intended as an anthem for the group. When Miyako was writing it the working title was "Lovebites". She has said she was nervous that it wasn't good enough. It was also a challenge to themselves, something so technical that any reasonable person would say it would be unplayable live. Of course they nailed it.
Fami is the short form of Family. This is her stage name because she likes to shop in a general store called FamilyMart. The exact reason why Miho left the band is not publicly known. The fact is that she lost her father tragically and had big problems to get over it. There is even a song about it by Lovebites. She still makes music but in a small band. She got her motorcycle license, bought a motorcycle and rides it all over Japan.
I can confirm the "FamilyMart" story. But I think, that doesn't mean, that it's spoken in the English way, rather with Japanese syllables. Thus it's not spoken "fa - mi", but "far - me"...

All three songs from the concert which took place on March 26, 2021.This is one of the concerts of the national "Ride for Vengeance Tour 2021" LOVEBITES in the cities of Japan (March - April 2021) . At the beginning of 2021, a new wave of Covid-19 began in Japan. A very tense situation was created, many people got sick, people were dying. The Japanese government declared a state of emergency. "Ride for Vengeance Tour 2021" was rescheduled from January 2021 to March - April 2021 and took place with mandatory anti-COVID safety measures: the hall was not completely filled (the number of viewers is limited, many people who wanted to get to the concerts could not buy tickets) maintaining social distance between people, viewers must stay where they are, everyone is wearing masks, temperature control (in humans), hand disinfection, are not allowed to express their emotions loudly (shouting, sing ), only applause is allowed, etc. During "Ride for Vengeance Tour" Miyako was 4-5 months pregnant. For Miyako it is: - already the third concert of the LOVEBITES Tour, - 2 hours , 18 songs, - playing technically complex music (guitar, piano, keyboards), - performing backing vocals , - during the Covid-19 pandemic, when you can get infected and infect an unborn child. LOVEBITES risked their health during the "Ride for Vengeance Tour 2021" concerts. Unlike the spectators, they were not wearing masks. In addition, before the concert, a few more hours are spent preparing for the concert (setting up instruments and equipment on stage, rehearsing, etc.) These are also risks for Miyako and the rest of the ladies, because you have to contact with a large number of people at this time on stage.

I would like to suggest that you check out the M/V for (When Destinies Align). I feel that the solos are longer and more intense!!!!!! Asami studied ballet for about 16 yrs. which is very evident in (A Frozen Serenade). Thanks for the reactions!!!!!!!
This clearly demonstrates that Lovebites being just a power metal band is a myth. The ladies play a pretty diverse and innovative blend of speed-power/thrash/prog/neoclassical metal/power ballads which makes their sound unique. With their virtuoso abilities, they can compose and play almost anything they want and make it sound phenomenal.
Nice triple reaction. The 3 songs are from the Heavy Metal Never Dies concert video. Miyako was pregnant at this time and still she performed a 2 hour show. Midori and Miyako played different guitars on these 3 songs. I suggest Edge of the World, Empty Daydream and Epilogue for your next triple reaction just because they're songs with the letter E and considered by many fans including me as masterpieces. "Asami is commanding the entire room" reminds me of what another reactor repeatedly stated in his reactions: "She is a stage general." :) Even though Miho is no longer in the band, her decision to found Lovebites was (I assume not only for me) one of the best in the history of Heavy Metal, and that is something no-one can take away from her! "Frozen Serenade" is actually not an entirely unusual song for them, because they already had a song with a somewhat simliar structure titled "Edge of the World" on their debut album "Awakening From Abyss" which IMO offers the most musical diversity together with their third album "Electric Pentagram" (which both "When Destinies Align" and "A Frozen Serenade" stem from), though their so far softest song and only pure ballad "Epilogue" is to be found on "Clockwork Immortality".

In which each musician is so individual as a person and so unique as a professional that it has allowed LOVEBITES to become the brightest phenomenon in the world of metal for the last 20 years! it is so cool to see Miyako off stage without her ice queen stage persona , in interviews and her channel blogs she laughs and smiles a lot she is actually quite the nerd loves Star Wars and she has a large collection of exotic pets including a very cool owl
There are also moments in which she is smiling on stage during Lovebites' concerts, and when she and Midori played "Farming Simulator" with Dragonforce, she had an absolute blast (smiling, jumping around and clapping her hands), as well as when all of Lovebites joined Dragonforce doing a cover of "My Heart Will Go On"!

Re. Frozen Serenade: How many true masterpieces are there in the history of rock? A dozen? I would name “A Day in the Life” by the Beatles; “The End” by the Doors; “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen; “Kashmir” by Led Zeppelin; “Layla” by Derek and the Dominoes; “The Great Gig in the Sky” by Pink Floyd; “Starless” by King Crimson; “Ghost Love Score” by Nightwish… maybe a few more. Some of the greatest never managed it. Lovebites have given us several, and I would put this performance at the top of the list.

Thunder Vengeance was the 2nd song I ever saw by them, and it sealed the deal for me. When I first saw Frozen Serenade....wow. Even further up love and admiration for them(which I didn't think was possible).😍

"When Destinies Align" was intended as an anthem for the group. When Miyako was writing it the working title was "Lovebites". She has said she was nervous that it wasn't good enough. It was also a challenge to themselves, something so technical that any reasonable person would say it would be unplayable live. Of course they nailed it.

Fami is the short form of Family. This is her stage name because she likes to shop in a general store called FamilyMart.
The exact reason why Miho left the band is not publicly known. The fact is that she lost her father tragically and had big problems to get over it. There is even a song about it by Lovebites.
She still makes music but in a small band. She got her motorcycle license, bought a motorcycle and rides it all over Japan.
I can confirm the "FamilyMart" story. But I think, that doesn't mean, that it's spoken in the English way, rather with Japanese syllables. Thus it's not spoken "fa - mi", but "far - me"...

All three songs from the concert which took place on March 26, 2021.This is one of the concerts of the national "Ride for Vengeance Tour 2021" LOVEBITES in the cities of Japan (March - April 2021) . At the beginning of 2021, a new wave of Covid-19 began in Japan. A very tense situation was created, many people got sick, people were dying. The Japanese government declared a state of emergency. "Ride for Vengeance Tour 2021" was rescheduled from January 2021 to March - April 2021 and took place with mandatory anti-COVID safety measures: the hall was not completely filled (the number of viewers is limited, many people who wanted to get to the concerts could not buy tickets) maintaining social distance between people, viewers must stay where they are, everyone is wearing masks, temperature control (in humans), hand disinfection, are not allowed to express their emotions loudly (shouting, sing ), only applause is allowed, etc.
During "Ride for Vengeance Tour" Miyako was 4-5 months pregnant. For Miyako it is:
- already the third concert of the LOVEBITES Tour,
- 2 hours , 18 songs,
- playing technically complex music (guitar, piano, keyboards),
- performing backing vocals ,
- during the Covid-19 pandemic, when you can get infected and infect an unborn child.
LOVEBITES risked their health during the "Ride for Vengeance Tour 2021" concerts. Unlike the spectators, they were not wearing masks. In addition, before the concert, a few more hours are spent preparing for the concert (setting up instruments and equipment on stage, rehearsing, etc.) These are also risks for Miyako and the rest of the ladies, because you have to contact with a large number of people at this time on stage.
The word "Masterpiece" gets thrown around a lot, but I think A Frozen Serenade qualifies.

I would like to suggest that you check out the M/V for (When Destinies Align). I feel that the solos are longer and more intense!!!!!! Asami studied ballet for about 16 yrs. which is very evident in (A Frozen Serenade). Thanks for the reactions!!!!!!!
This clearly demonstrates that Lovebites being just a power metal band is a myth. The ladies play a pretty diverse and innovative blend of speed-power/thrash/prog/neoclassical metal/power ballads which makes their sound unique. With their virtuoso abilities, they can compose and play almost anything they want and make it sound phenomenal.

Nice triple reaction. The 3 songs are from the Heavy Metal Never Dies concert video. Miyako was pregnant at this time and still she performed a 2 hour show. Midori and Miyako played different guitars on these 3 songs. I suggest Edge of the World, Empty Daydream and Epilogue for your next triple reaction just because they're songs with the letter E and considered by many fans including me as masterpieces. "Asami is commanding the entire room" reminds me of what another reactor repeatedly stated in his reactions: "She is a stage general." :) Even though Miho is no longer in the band, her decision to found Lovebites was (I assume not only for me) one of the best in the history of Heavy Metal, and that is something no-one can take away from her! "Frozen Serenade" is actually not an entirely unusual song for them, because they already had a song with a somewhat simliar structure titled "Edge of the World" on their debut album "Awakening From Abyss" which IMO offers the most musical diversity together with their third album "Electric Pentagram" (which both "When Destinies Align" and "A Frozen Serenade" stem from), though their so far softest song and only pure ballad "Epilogue" is to be found on "Clockwork Immortality".

In which each musician is so individual as a person and so unique as a professional that it has allowed LOVEBITES to become the brightest phenomenon in the world of metal for the last 20 years!
Miho was the leader of the band behind the scenes. Asami was and is the leader on the stage. Asami has a unique charisma as a lady, as a person, as a singer! One of the best frontmen (it would be more correct, frontwoman😊) who were and are in the world of rock music. Thank you!
Epilogue is the one song that makes me tear up every time. Journey to the Otherside is hard to hold it together when Miho gets upset

it is so cool to see Miyako off stage without her ice queen stage persona , in interviews and her channel blogs she laughs and smiles a lot she is actually quite the nerd loves Star Wars and she has a large collection of exotic pets including a very cool owl
There are also moments in which she is smiling on stage during Lovebites' concerts, and when she and Midori played "Farming Simulator" with Dragonforce, she had an absolute blast (smiling, jumping around and clapping her hands), as well as when all of Lovebites joined Dragonforce doing a cover of "My Heart Will Go On"!

Re. Frozen Serenade: How many true masterpieces are there in the history of rock? A dozen? I would name “A Day in the Life” by the Beatles; “The End” by the Doors; “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen; “Kashmir” by Led Zeppelin; “Layla” by Derek and the Dominoes; “The Great Gig in the Sky” by Pink Floyd; “Starless” by King Crimson; “Ghost Love Score” by Nightwish… maybe a few more. Some of the greatest never managed it. Lovebites have given us several, and I would put this performance at the top of the list.

nothing lovebites does reminds me of dragonsforce they are much better than them in my honest opinion they were inspired by bands like Iron maiden (Way better than Dragonsforce)
@evilvolts It's the speed and guitar prowess of Miyako and Midori that remind people of DragonForce. Say what you will about the band but they have two excellent guitarists that Miyako and Midori picked up more than a few tricks from when they toured together.
