Zion should have told Georgia, regardless of what Ginny wanted. When you are coparenting, you cannot withhold vital information like your child self-harming.
I get where you're coming from but i feel like telling georgia that in this heated moment would've caused ginny to be more angry and make even more rational decisions
I had that thought too… but it would be much more dangerous for the daughter’s wellbeing if she stopped telling either of them what’s going on. It’s a delicate balance to strike.
I disagree. It takes A LOT for someone to confide in their parent about something so serious and personal. That showed a deep level of trust that she had for Zion. Telling Georgia would have broken that trust immediately and she probably would’ve never told either of them anything ever again which is more harmful to Ginny in the long run. He did the right thing and put his daughter first. There’s a reason Ginny did not trust Georgia with that information (and the way she reacted when she found out just confirms that)
After rethinking about this, I believe everything Ginny did, outside of her relationship with Marcus, was rational. Like she found out her Mom killed someone, she found out her was manipulative and now engaged to the Mayor. She could be living in the next house as the next victim. She didn't know about Georgia',s history, heck finding out her real name was Mary, is 10 different red flags. Ginny may be wrong in the audience eyes, but that's because the audience knows everything
Oh thank god someone brought this up. It is so true whatever you said, in our eyes as the viewers, we know everything and tend to jump straight to the gun and say that the character is wrong when we all know that they don't know the complete story.
Finally someone who understands Ginny's side of the story. Also, finally someone who understands how messed up Georgia is. She wanted to protect her daughter from the rape that her mom never protected her from, that Georgia did the wrong thing for the good reason. But Georgia is not a example of a good mom because she lies, she steals, manipulate, and is able to do very dangerous things. She protects and cares about her children, but that does not make her an example, this is something known by herself, she said that to Ginny when she told about Kenny. Other red flag is that she made her daughter believe her stepfather died of an heart attack, not by her poisoning him. She thought her mom wasn't able to do that. And it's a lot to process in a teenager's head.
The problem I have with Ginny is that while Georgia never did make the best choices, Ginny constantly snoops in her mother’s past when it’s clear she can’t handle it. That’s why Georgia never tells her anything because her past is too dark. This season showed how much Ginny knowing the full truth affected her.
Thats a fair assessment actualy, got me reconsidering how I feel about it. Ginny is still an asshole and I dont like her, but this opens up a little bit more of a different perspective
Zion isn't Ginny's friend. He has no rights to gatekeep something so major like self harming just to protect his relationship with Ginny. Georgia's her mom, she deserves to know.
Literally nobody asked her to though! Ginny could’ve had an amazing life with Zion’s parents as her guardians and Georgia selfishly chose to take it on by herself and make everyone’s lives harder
Why didn't Georgia want to know what Ginny and Zion was Arguing about. And why didn't Georgia see that Ginny wasn't okay and talk to her daughter about what she knows
Cause that's how she is, she's severely oblivious to how people are feeling around her and just cares about the reactions that affect her. In her mind Georgia probably thinks, "well she's not homeless and a teen mom like I was at that age, so how bad could her problems really be?".
