Let me know in the comments which set you're more excited for, and if you, like myself, wish that LEGO made smaller playsets! I think a huge Barad Dur would be great, but you know what would be even better? Sets with awesome minifigures that can fit on my shelves!!!!!!

Battlepacks will be awesome, but looks like Lego don’t hear us.
I would love the GWP to be the inside of Mt Doom where Frodo destroys the ring, but you could also make it Isildor in there for an exclusive minifig

Would be great to have sets for people that dont have multiple hundred dollars to spend on lego for once.
I really dont get why cant do a regular theme for lord of the rings, it would sell like crazy.
How much would an Oliphant/Mummakil set cost? Maybe a Prancing Pony set? An entire Minas Tirith set would cost way too much.
im excited despite knowing I'll never get the set (way too far out of my price range) its just been a dream for a VERY long time to have a Barad dur set exist. Ive made so many mocs of it over the last 10 or so years its kinda surreal that its actually happening

I sure would love to see some dioramas from lord of the rings. The balrog scene, the mines of Moria, the mount doom scene . So many ideas. Surely lego must know there is a big demand right now.

Would be epic if the set came with all of the original rings that Sauron has claimed, displayed in the tower somewhere, like in one of the custom Barad-Dûr sets. It would help to explain the title: 'The Lord of the Rings'.

LOTR is perfect for lego. Middle earth etc but doesnt have the marketing behind it like HP or SW. When I first came out they didn't realize there were more adult collectors not very child friendly Lord of the rings i suppose has a higher age

I agree that smaller sets would be awesome - but I heard somewhere that Harry Potter has a commitment from Lego (as part of the contract) that HP will be the only active, licensed, fantasy-based theme for regular waves and sets. That would explain why we get huge Special LOTR sets once a year so far and BrickHeadz but no regular sets. Not sure this is true but seems likely. Anyone else heard this?

Barad Dur has 270 more pieces then the giant Avengers Tower (36 inches tall) so it should be at least 40 inches tall.

Barad Dur is way undersized and way overpriced. They are pushing out this $500 in reality microscale set just to market the Sauron MF. As usual is Lego showing how lazy it is. A Fell Beast as the gift of purchase would be awesome because it will not come in the set, but it is a pipe dream. If people were smart they would save all that money and buy a better custom Sauron and start buying bricks toward the Lego Moc Loc version of Barad Dur. I wish for Lego to release just one small set for War of the Rohirrim, so they can finally produce a better / new Rohan torso.
