I feel better about my purchase because even though their communication has been slower than I wanted it's actually been pretty honest and transparent even with the issues that have been reported I'm having so much fun playing the games that I bought that I already feel like I've almost got my money's worth at this point
It’s great that AtGames is addressing the issue for folks and the 4K. You bring up a great point about it affecting people differently, which is true. Unrelated to video but have you seen that Tron is now sold out/unavailable everywhere except on A1U’s official site?

I'm really looking forward to being able to play the tables that I pre-ordered but I have to say that I'm pleasantly surprised with how good the quality of the stock 15 games are when you give them a chance they're much more fun than I thought they would be when I first looked through the lineup
Now, it appears that it was probably a blessing in disguise that, even though I was one of first pre-orders, my decision to get the SSF pre-installed caused me to have to wait to get my Atgames 4k Addams Family later than I wanted. At first, watching people get their 4k Pinball units, I was bummed, but then hearing about shipping packaging issues (Hopefully it will be improved), and now with Atgames and also ZEN Studios coming out with updates. 😏
I personally found out that even with my recent gaming rig hooked up to my ALP, I have to turn off the effects and pop up scores on Pinball FX to reduce lag and stutter, yet Pinball FX3 plays like butter. My thought is that the newer engine for their pinball is super resource intensive and poorly optimized still.
I believe it's because they changed over to the unreal engine. A decision which will ultimately mean better games down the line, but I suspect you're right - they haven't quite wrapped their heads around making it buttery smooth yet.
Yeah, I was in a section I cut for time. Bottom line is that yes, I think there will be a NOD this month, but I do think it'll be after Valentine's Day. More as soon as I find out.
Just got mine last night,, its the perfect height.. the lag is not as bad as people say, and yes there is some lag in pinball fx fx 3 ect..That topper just fit in my basement arcade...lol
Yes but its so small not sure what to do about it.. And on front where plunger is, I can see where screws about to poke through..@@evilgeniusentertainment
Which really shouldn't be a surprise at this point - AG's clearly pouring a lot of resources into this new set of machines. But I do think that they've said they're not stopping development on new game for the HD. Time will tell!
Thanks for that update. I was wondering when the new packs would be available. As far as the Adamms Family lag is concerned you can adapt to it, as the high scores prove, but it is noticeable, especially after you play a Magic Pixel game without it! There is still an occasional micro-stutter in the Magic Pixel games, but it is rare and not a deal breaker. The machine itself is gorgeous, the haptic feel is good, but the stock speakers are not great. Overall I am happy to own it and I think it has enormous potential.
@@evilgeniusentertainment No, my boxes were in great shape and the table itself was in perfect condition. And I live on the east coast so it came from about as far away as possible.
AtGames can take their pick- less graphics and effects, or micro stutter and flipper lag. Micro stutter appears in all the stock tables. This is a mid level ARM chipset trying to game at 4K. Square peg and round hole. OTG or bust.
BIG UPDATES??? that means addams family received a patch and is running flawlessly? looks like you left out the last bullet point on the power point... why?

Far as AF goes, I don't know man, AG admitted there was an issue and says they're working in it. Don't know what else they could do. If you think $1099 is too much for what this machine does then I think you're being a little negative. Simply no other device available on the market that comes close to the 4K ALP for that money. You couldn't even build it yourself for that. I mean, you might not like the games available for it, or have have any desire for OTG, but I think those that do will get a lot of bang for buck. Meh, it's a nice looking machine that put vpin into the hands of a lot of people - I think that's a good thing.

As I enter my mid-60's I find that my personal lag is probably a bigger factor than the flipper lag itself. 😉

I think maybe the flipper lag might be an issue with the displays ms response rate. Another nice video as always!
Atgames also came out with an official statement saying that the AFM table needs to be shipped to my house first a month early.

Makes you wonder why Zen changed the system in the first place, a backward step, "if it ain't broke don't fix it"
