This is why I sold my Dominar and bought HONDA CB 350RS and never Regret my choice. KTM Engines aren't as reliable as HONDA. Many people have faced multiple issues with Dominar. But the 2017 and 2018 models are good though. No issues in those models.
I have an early 2018 one. 50K+ kms done, no complaints whatsoever. Just routine oil, filter and pads change thats all. Engine still has the same grunt as before, if not gotten more smoother.

Hello, I am an Automobile Engineer from Bangalore. I feel I didn't find any issue with your valves though. Why was the head changed? The valves seems absolutely fine the way it looked. You should have posted the issue of this bike first and then did what was necessary. I think it's a waste of money and time.😂
He have problem in valve guide... So valve have play.... It can be easly done by valve guide change at kharaad shop under 1500 rs. But as he had warranty he replaced whole head I suppose

I have the BS6 NS200. Clocked 22k in one year. Now the issue is i have a sound coming up from the head part like "chik chik chik chik" when i revv it. Like the sound starts when i revv it post 3k on the rpm. There is no issue performance wise. All well and good just like bought from the showroom. But the sound is annoying af. Also after long rides it remains noisy at idling 1.5k rpm. I checked the tappets with filler gauge but the tappets are fine. I am tired of finding the issue. The service center guys gave up. Says its a genetic illness on NS200s. But idk. Any idea guys ???
I have the same noise in my ns200 bs6 it comes when the engine is heat no problem in that no need to worry, if you find any other unusual bad noise then head should be replaced

I dont have any regret for choosing yamaha. I was having the same issue with my ns 200 lots of tappet noise, chain set needs to change in every 10k kms
I have 2016 rc390 at 50k kms.....the engine is sealed never opened......only changed clutch once at 30k kms to slipper clutch.....yes I had to change my chainset at 15k kms and then at 35k kms the issue is the chainset needs a lot of maintenance other wise it can last 25 to 30k kms.......my bike is now mostly used on track (Kari) so the running has gone down
My pulsar 180 is 10 years old with 110000 km on odo still stock bore and piston chains lasts 30-35 km kms (lubing needed at least every 1000 km). Whatever brand you buy same things gonna happen because you won't spend to maintain else lazy

This problem arised due to Shim Valve Clearance the service mechanics refuse to check Shim clearance according to periodic maintainence...

I dont have any regret for choosing yamaha. I was having the same issue with my ns 200 lots of tappet noise, chain set needs to change in every 10k kms
I have 2016 rc390 at 50k kms.....the engine is sealed never opened......only changed clutch once at 30k kms to slipper clutch.....yes I had to change my chainset at 15k kms and then at 35k kms the issue is the chainset needs a lot of maintenance other wise it can last 25 to 30k kms.......my bike is now mostly used on track (Kari) so the running has gone down
@@The_Seraphim7 2015 stock RC with 30k on oddo. touch wood ☺. stock chain set. lube every 500kms.
@@Ninja.9777 just keep changing oil at 6k and coolant at 12k you you won't face any issues
My pulsar 180 is 10 years old with 110000 km on odo still stock bore and piston chains lasts 30-35 km kms (lubing needed at least every 1000 km). Whatever brand you buy same things gonna happen because you won't spend to maintain else lazy
