Very helpful. I have an issue with my 1979 Suzuki PE175. It blows bulbs from too much voltage. As a kid (a loooong time ago now) I played around with the wiring. Now I don't see any voltage rectifier on it at all. So after watching you're upload, I reckon the PE should have one too.

I would say check the wiring diagram but mine proved to be useless 🤣
Lo mejor es instalar un rectificador de onda completa y alimentar las luces con la corriente directa de batería
Great fix mate electrics always make you scratch your head . How's the xl250s coming along are the decals on yet.
No. Not yet. I keep meaning to get them done by a local graphic place but forget until the weekend when they are shut. It's bugging me too !!
Good morning, where did you get the manual? Can you please share it with me?
Ebay, it is not in print any more.
Can I ask please how does the stator actually make a spark there is no pick up coil and magnet on the outside of the magneto.? And no points
The magnets are on the flywheel. Spark on this model is a combined coil and ECU which measures the crank position and fires when needed
ok thanks - I've got an ax 100 engine very similar in design to your fz50 engine. It confused me as there was no stator pick up
If you meter does not read true RMS value the voltage could well indicate incorrectly. Just give it a try.
Hi Simon. You might have to pick that apart for me. Im not particularly bright with electronics
