Your videos really help me out a lot on how to upgrade my MX500. Where do you get your batteries from? And can you just wire the batteries directly into eachother instead of using the adapters you made?

I get my batteries from rcbattery.com there prices have gone up a little but still good. You you can wire them together, but balancing is important for longjevity. lately I have been building packs out of 18650 cells from batteryhookup.com

It all comes down to run time and amp draw. 2.2 ah is pretty low. My 5ah batteries go for 15 minutes at 20 amps. Your 2.2ah batteries would go for 15 minutes at 8.8 amps.
