Yeah, some of these young cats putting together these top 5 hip hop lists are smoking something. I always ask, what about Lupe, Common, Black Thought, Rakim.... there has to be sub categories, it can't possibly just be about hype and record sales.
There is a couple of songs by lupe that are connected to eachother that tell an underlining story, it is one of the most intresting concepts in hip hop i've seen the songs are in this order (the pills , the cool , he say she say , the coolest , gotta eat , the die then finished off with put you on game) it's amazing concept you should probably take a look. Side note much love breakdown for mural was insane and actually helped me figure out alot more about it.
