Miss Squeezed Lemon hmm. Sounds like a loose connection somewhere. 7 years is quite good going really so may be worth looking at a new model, as looking at some one to repair can be quite expensive anyway!

Zane Wv the manual shows them both but it states the wireless one is a slightly different model name, I can't remember it off the top of my head. They obviously share the instruction manuals!

Just a human beings they are able to be wall mounted mate yes! I bought some cheap metal stands and used them. You’d only need to stick a screw into the wall and they’d mount to that! Thanks for watching 👌🏼

Charles tbm yes mate! Not a problem at all, you essentially link the speaker to your actual TV and don't touch your sky box or anything. Whatever would have played through the TV speakers will now play through the surround sound. Super easy, you literally just plug and play! Let me know how you get on mate
How good is this when casting showbox? Also, is the dialogue of the characters in movies more clear than if you were to just use the Tv's speakers as that is the main reason I'm after a surround sound system.

They're from Tesco direct, dead easy to put together but I found it a faff to run the speaker wires through the middle of them so gave up and just leave it dangling. Mr Holley mine were the wired ones so simply just connect. You can do a speaker test through the menu/settings. If you’re are Wireless then I’m sorry I have never used them!

I use this system for my casual blu ray movie watching in my living room since I have a more professional setup for my gaming consoles cause I use them the most. But this system is okay for what it is amp/player is little cheap but the speakers are of good quality and mine I got the wireless surround speakers so you only gotta connect the two back speakers to the wireless module. It makes it a slightly more clean setup not having to run wires to the back of your room. Would I get this for everyday use no it’s cheap but for casual use yea it’s fine gets the job done

Hi, I would need some 5m and 6m cables. I am just installing electric wires and all other necessary cables into the walls and floors inside my house so I was just curious if supplied wires will suffice.
kubaistube I think they'll be fine for 5m but not 100% about 6m, that's quite long! I can guesstimate it when I get home but I've ran them under my carpet so will only be a guess!

nicky saahith hey mate. You need to change the EQ. There’s a button on the bottom line that lets you do it. Choose cinema or game (there is another that works too). Let me know if that does it bro!
Mirza Demetriou hi. Yes you need to make sure you are selecting 5.1 surround in the settings. Do a speaker test to ensure all are connected properly. Then select an appropriate EQ for 5.1, these include game, cinema and some others. Power bass is not 5.1
I can’t play music from a USB Stick I tried everything but nothing works but on my 2 GB usb it works but I can’t put on all songs and I don’t wanna go on RUclips every time to play music
Peter Rice mainly just the front left and right speakers. You'll hardly hear anything come from the rear satellite speakers and with music hardly hear the middle speaker too. Obviously the subwoofer is very obvious. At first I thought I may have connected wrong but you can do a speaker check and all are ok. The middle and two rear speakers must be preserved for certain frequencies!
Jamie Pav thanks for replying, does it have a mode called PL that will allow you to use all the speakers? I haven't bought it yet and this could stop me from buying it if I can't use all the speakers.
Peter Rice hey mate. There's definitely no PL button. The cinema EQ plays sound through all 5 speakers when the source is in Dolby (Sky etc and DVDs) which is great. I cannot get music streamed from Bluetooth to play through all 5!
I'm having an update version of this J5550K. The difference is Sub & Tallboy speakers. There's one problem imo. The amount of treble. It's too much how to reduce it? Plus mid range is flat how to set it up completely? Plus all of the speakers work only when in Cinema mode. In rest of the modes surround and center speaker shuts off. Can you please give some ideas?
Kushal Rathod only certain EQs will allow 5.1 surround sound, cinema, game and one other does (sorry I can’t remember). As for altering the treble/mid range this is possible by setting a custom EQ from the settings menu!

I bought the system at my local Bestbuy store. Mine is the exact same model as the one on the review , but has the wireless rear speakers. I bought a curved samsung tv and figured i'd get a new surround sound to go with it. Picked it up on sale for 250 dollars.

Snapchat me That pussy you will be able to connect it to older TVs, if they have an optical or HDMI port that will give true surround. Otherwise you can connect through RCA but the surround may not work as well. A sound bar might be best option then as it will sound just as good but without faffing with the rear speakers

Crystal Martinez it doesn't come with HDMI no you'll have to supply your own. it will not support surround sound via Bluetooth so you'll only get front left/right and subwoofers working. You need to connect your phone via WIFI to your TV (if it will let you do that) then you can use all speakers if you have the correct EQ mode selected
If you're still having the same problem according to the "User manual" that came with the home theatre setup "... you need to run an ID Set between the product and wireless receiver module. With the product turned off (1). press "0" -> "1" -> "3" -> "5" on the remote control (that came with the product) (2). Turn on the wireless receiver module. (3). Then press and hold the "ID SET" button on the back of the wireless receiver module for 5 seconds (4). And then turn the product (main unit) on. " I think this should work for you if you are still experiencing the same blinking light..
I just bought this system, hooked it to my TV without reading the instructions, and not I cannot figure out how to get the setup menu to reappear on the unit. Can you tell me how? It would be a great help if you could. I used the ARC HMMI cable to connect it to the TV, the unit says that the TV sound is on, but nothing comes out of the speakers. Help
Rexx Shelton if you press the home button or source button until it says DVD on the screen it should take you to the home screen. From here you should be able to go to settings and setup menu (if I remember correctly)!
Ehab Al Qassem hi! You can only watch an online movie if you were to connect up a laptop or something. You can watch through certain apps that are on it like Netflix however! Kind regards
If you look at the video at 2.30 you can see the HDMI and Aux-in inputs which you can use to connect the player to any other devices. If you are wishing to connect it to other speakers then I can't see how this is possible unless they fit in the provided connections you can see at 2.30!
Just got my system the other day. For the wireless rear speakers there is a wireless receiver about the size of a rear-speaker that plugs into your house electric and the speakers are wired into that. Works well and wires are out of the way. (out of sight behind my couch at least).
I just ordered this system, and I'm looking for reviews and stuff while I wait for it to come home. My main concern is how to set it up for my PS4. Should I connect my PS4 via HDMI to my TV and then connect the TV to the Home Thater via Audio Toslink Optical cable? Will that work? What's the best way?
FeetHaveGotNoRhythm2 good choice! You can connect the PS4 to the TV as you normally would via HDMI, then you can connect the surround sound to the TV by either optical or HDMI (optical theoretically better quality but doubt you would notice a difference) and it will work that way. No need to connect the PS4 to the system as it gets he audio source from the TV. That's how my Xbox is set up!

My 5.1 is 7 years old. It is now turning off and on all on it's own. All day long. The sound is fair at best. Any suggestions.

Oshadi Keerthisiri are you using the correct EQ setting? Some of the EQ’s (such as power bass) do not utilise the rear speakers for some reason!

how did you make the rear speakers and the bass work?
erwin van treeck make sure you have all the wires in correct places. Do a speaker test (via settings menu) to make sure
yes i did a speaker test, but the bass, and rear speakers are not working, have no idea why

I did get "setup" displayed on its screen, b it cannot get it to respond to the up and down buttons, or the sydewast ones.
Rexx Shelton if it's not moving the cursor on the set up screen I would imagine there is an issue with the software mate. Can you return it?
I bought it from Amazon, they offer 60 days tech support, I'll call them Monday and see what they say. Thank you sir.

I Just bought this system last week hooked it up for the Super Bowl and only hear sound out of two speakers needless to say not happy at the moment.
seth parker you need to make sure you’re on the right EQ. I think it’s cinema and a couple others that will play surround sound and use all speakers!

seth parker yeah press that button until you see ‘cinema’ come up on the screen of the actual device (not the TV)

If you look at the video at 2.30 you can see the HDMI and Aux-in inputs which you can use to connect the player to any other devices. If you are wishing to connect it to other speakers then I can't see how this is possible unless they fit in the provided connections you can see at 2.30!
Is any battery need the wireless speaker I have this model at home steel box close let me know someone before open it .
elpistolero5 I don’t have the wireless version. I would imagine the wireless ones need plugging in as a battery wouldn’t last long in them!

Just got my system the other day. For the wireless rear speakers there is a wireless receiver about the size of a rear-speaker that plugs into your house electric and the speakers are wired into that. Works well and wires are out of the way. (out of sight behind my couch at least).
I just ordered this system, and I'm looking for reviews and stuff while I wait for it to come home. My main concern is how to set it up for my PS4. Should I connect my PS4 via HDMI to my TV and then connect the TV to the Home Thater via Audio Toslink Optical cable? Will that work? What's the best way?
FeetHaveGotNoRhythm2 good choice! You can connect the PS4 to the TV as you normally would via HDMI, then you can connect the surround sound to the TV by either optical or HDMI (optical theoretically better quality but doubt you would notice a difference) and it will work that way. No need to connect the PS4 to the system as it gets he audio source from the TV. That's how my Xbox is set up!

True, but one has to use good headphones to hear it then, but then still it'll be not 100% accurate but pretty close.
