My son has bilateral Perthes Disease (was worst when he was ages 3-6) and the hip pain would present as pain in the knee due to the shared nerve, so definitely something to be aware of. He also got a spinal tibia fracture and it was difficult to distinguish between that limping versus the Perthes (hip related) limping. Also, most kids think blood is the end of the world, so they may be all worried about a little boo-boo on their hand that’s bleeding from sticking their hand out to stop their fall but not even mention the arm pain due to their radius or ulna being fractured. So definitely don’t focus on one thing with kids!
