Thankyou for explaining the issue. Now i realize why i feel a little notch once in a while when turning the wheel. Can this be left alone if its not too bad or will it get worse and become a safety issue?
@@aye1tsvic nope still drive the car. with this issue. not that bad. only really an issue on long left hand bends on the highway. trying not to bounce around in the lane too much. we bought the car new 11 years ago still have it!
@@StreetMachine18 thanks for responding i have a malibu and deal with it bouncing left to right on the highway and did you fix the power steering? i’m about to get mines checked
@@aye1tsvic no i havent fixed it. im capable of replacing the parts myself but its so low on the priority list ill prolly never get around to it. if i wanted to spend ~$200 bucks on something it would be something else. i dont remember the exact price, parts or procedure now. bolting in a new steering column is easy but i cant rmr now if it needs to be programmed / calibrated etc.
When need a how to fix video after this initial video. I've been stuck for weeks with this same issue, no one knows what to do and the issue is intermediate and will not always show up on scanners. Pls help!
Depends if that is the problem. The problem is most likely this but could also be related to the module itself. Module will run you a lot more money and will probably have to be reprogrammed into the CAN network.

Hey I changed out the dorman sensor cuz I felt like this was happening, the problem hasn't been resolved... Are there 2 different sensors?
