They forgot to mention that. In the late 60s or 70s the Nwt Dene would travel down to northern Alberta. As they attended our gatherings they’d bring recorders and they would record and learn the “DENE THA MUSIC” songs that secretly come to us. From the heaven 🙏🏽.

Your music is from Dene in the NT, and it comes from the Yukon. Don't be spreading BS. My granny passed away in 1999 at 99 years old, she knew the songs your speaking of and she didn't speak English. Wasn't no camcorders back then my friend

Thank you. This was very informative, and I often paused it to look up different references, and to buy a book for further studies. I came here from taking a free online course on Indigenous Canada by Coursera. I am one of many non-Indigenous people who agree with your rights to self-determination.

I agree and I say we should go back to our traditional ways, and only use what we need . Take a lot of land back, cause we’ve been pushed around like furniture.. we can be strong and all join as one and fight for our land…then when we get land we want, then we as native people divide it amongst us, because we are different tribes…we do have our own laws and fight / negotiate the white man under our own laws , instead of under their laws, Our laws dont ever change, theres does
