@@Chewjitsu At some point I will be down your way for some fun rolls. Been watching your channel since starting my bjj journey in 2016, can’t thank you enough. Least I can do is give you guys the chance to put a few good beatings on me lol
@@Chewjitsu hey quick question. My coach says that anyone who doesn't go to his seminar which cost $80 won't be getting a promotion or even stripes. Do you think this is fair? Effectively keeping promotion behind a paywall and not on merit. Loves your videos by the way
I think you alluded to this, but, especially for those of us in BJJ special ed, I recommend to the one submitting the question to progressively train each successive component of a sequence until it becomes instinctive (hopefully, this does not take 1,000 repetitions). For instance, I'm going to just work on the 1-2-3 that leads to the cross collar and sleeve grip until I stop screwing it up. Nothing more. Over and over, again, until I don't even have to think about it. Only then do I progress to working on-off balancing my opponent. That should take less repetitions. Once that is worked out, I'll move on to the leg pick, and so on. It will be a long time before I get the whole sequence down (because I cannot walk and chew gum at the same time), but it will become so effective that only upper belts can find a way to shut it down....
Thanks for sharing! I'd be interested to get yalls opinion on cross collar vs same side collar grips. I've been told at my gym that cross collar isn't wrong, but generally same side is preferable.
lol Adam.. love it
Hope things are going well for you guys. Always enjoy the videos, appreciate the tips!
Things are going very well.
