Agreed! In many genres of music there's a lot of great new bands and music being produced and explored. I'd even say it's better than ever, and now with the global music community within YT we can discover old amazing music as well..the underground runs deep!
I'm not entirely sure why this got recommended to me, because I don't even know what kind of music this is, but I like it. It feels nostalgic. Reminds me of the 80's, like Depeche Mode or Billy Idol.

My cousin started listening to gothic/darkwave in the '90s. Now he recommended me. Ever since then I love listening to those tracks. In the future I would like to compose gothic/darkwave myself.

I would really appreciateif someone could explaing me the main differences between Wave genres as Darkwave and Synthwave. I only understand Metal stuff. 😂😂😂😂😂😅
all music genres refers to lyric content and beat- lyrics about death or dying would make it dark while the tempo would be less upbeat- it's the combination of the two that creates a genre. Metal is easier to understand because both are more straightforward... Thrash Metal is quite diff from Death Metal due to singing style and lyrics more than tempo and Black Metal has slow tempo with Death Metal lyrics. Synth refers to heavy use of that instrument (synthesizer) with sometimes no lyrics. Wave refers to the goth/punk "wave" scene that swept through underground city clubs.
@@johnbottcher1618 - maybe a type-o but Black Metal tends to have fast beat, synths, and screams, usually more horror-novel and legends themed. Doom Metal is known for being drag slow and melodic, more philosophical and existental pain.

My cousin started listening to gothic/darkwave in the '90s. Now he recommended me. Ever since then I love listening to those tracks. In the future I would like to compose gothic/darkwave myself.

I would really appreciateif someone could explaing me the main differences between Wave genres as Darkwave and Synthwave.

all music genres refers to lyric content and beat- lyrics about death or dying would make it dark while the tempo would be less upbeat- it's the combination of the two that creates a genre. Metal is easier to understand because both are more straightforward... Thrash Metal is quite diff from Death Metal due to singing style and lyrics more than tempo and Black Metal has slow tempo with Death Metal lyrics. Synth refers to heavy use of that instrument (synthesizer) with sometimes no lyrics. Wave refers to the goth/punk "wave" scene that swept through underground city clubs.

Black Metal tends to have fast beat, synths, and screams, usually more horror-novel and legends themed.
Doom Metal is known for being drag slow and melodic, more philosophical and existental pain.
