- Friends Betty Pensavalle and Elaine St. Martin were founding members of a passionate fan club devoted to NFL quarterback Tom Brady, comprised of women of a certain age, called "Over 80 for Brady." They inspired a new motion picture comedy, "80 for Brady," starring Hollywood veterans Sally Field, Jane Fonda, Rita Moreno and Lily Tomlin. Correspondent Lee Cowan talks with the Brady fans, and with the stars who played Brady fans, about football, friendship, and the power of Tom.

After all of this, it's inconceivable to me that Brady hasn't made it his business to meet these two wonderful women. He better step up to the plate!
But if the genders were swapped, suddenly it would be creepy. If an 90 year old man would obsessed with Zendaya, people would say he's a creep.

When I heard about this movie, people asked me if it was based on my mom! My mom is in her 90s and has followed Brady for a long time. She and her friend in her 80s did get to see him play in the Superbowl at Tampa Bay! A once in a lifetime experience!

I'm 55 and have a very good friend who will be 92 in March and she is so amazing. So full of life. We've known each other for almost 30 years. She is one person I can always count on.
"Life is too short not to get along" made me giggle. Not before it's not true but because it was spoken by one of these women in their 90s.
I’m in my 60s and it seems just a blink ago I was in my 40s! Life really does go fast and they say the older you get the faster it goes. I believe it!

I love all six of those ladies!! My grandma was in a group of friends kind of like that but they started losing members in their early 70s. I used to love being around them. RIP ladies, I miss you!!

I love this interview! I grew up on these ladies. They are so wonderful! I’m glad they did this movie. Nothing like this in Hollywood. There needs to be more movies out there like this.

OMG! This is Mom and her best friend. They were teachers and roommates together in the mid 1940's and stayed close friends after marriage and family. They were also both huge fans of both the Wisconsin Badgers and Green Bay Packers football teams and would often watch games together or each in their own home but on the phone with each other when they became less mobile. They died within 5 weeks of each other, Eleanor at age 99 and Mom at age 95.

@Tracy Morgan As on who has lived long, not as long as these 4 old bats, just kidding, I love them all dearly, I can tell you that the look on Sally's face is earned! I know this from seeing it on many old friends faces, and those men and women actors who have lived by having dignity, courtesy, honesty, integrity, by sharing these qualities with others. James Stewart, had that look as did James Cagney, Tom Hanks, too, Dr. Donald E. Scott, Wal Thornhill, Dr. C J. Ransom, are three that I know who have the same look permanently, kindness grows, kindness shows.

Absolutely marvelous… I laughed, I cried, I nearly peed from joy! At 73, each of these wonderful women played outsized roles in my my life, especially Ms. Moreno… being first generation Cuban-American with nearly no big screen hero, Ms. Moreno fit the bill. Her unabashed performance in West Side Story is imprinted in my brain and heart. Ms. Tomlin always brought hilarity and unabashed joy to my life. Ms. Fonda’s activism remains an inspiration while her current embrace for living a full active life lifts me up. Ms. Field from Nun to the entire spectrum of roles possible has added to my better understanding of the world I inhabit. My privilege to have been alive during their remarkable reign. Thank you. You all have contributed mightily to my and countless others’ life. 🤸🏽♂️ 🫶🏼 🤗
Best Fit Square Channel: All 4 of these women have exceptional chops. When I think of Sally Field, I think of Norma Rae. I remember when Jane Fonda came to the Oakland school at which my husband taught. We took our teens to Lily Tomlin's one woman show and Rita Moreno has been a local figure inspiring Latinex young people for a long time.

I love Leave Me Alone. One of my favorites. Helen had the most amazing discography. I Am Woman was the anthem for every female coming of age in the 70's, but I was mesmerized by Angie Baby. The idea of an offbeat girl with a magic radio that ensured she had a "boyfriend" was a dream for every lonely, odd teenage girl.
