@@techblizmax9660 I didn't like the EM6L. For me the EA500 LM is much better in every way. Much better bass, better detail retrieval and instrument separation. Much higher sound quality. I still have the EM6L but I never listen to it to be honest.
I really dig your review style. I also dig your choice of IEMs listed I have either owned or spent enough time with to form an opinion except the SuperMix4. Thank you, I appreciate your comment. I agree with you. When an IEM is tuned with such high pinna gain, it seems the designer may be accustomed to listening to a very different kind of music, one that is more gentle and calm with fewer instruments. Just a brief listen to rock music reveals that the pinna gain is excessive. I want to ask, who is Michael Bruce?

Just so natural and coherent. I notice how solid and well delineated the images seem--none of that whispy. ghostlike, indefinite quality you hear in so many of these cheap IEMs. Feel solid and look beautiful as well. I just like the idea of all metal IEMs. They just seem more expensive and of a higher quality than something made of resin. They look and feel like a luxury item, and if you didn't know what they cost, I don't see how you could look at even a $2000 IEM and say it looked like the more expensive item compared to the Simgots. Personally, IDK what could go into any IEM that would justify a $1900 price differential in terms of cost, let alone performance over them.
Those mods are interesting. You know exactly what I mean. I agree with your point. Sometimes, I jokingly tell my friends that the EA1000 is probably the most premium looking IEM I own. I also believe that the metal construction enhances the sound characteristics in a positive way.
Another great and very honest review. This looked really interesting to me at its price point but I'm quite sensitive to intense upper mids shouty/shrillness. So since you found the Variations fine in that aspect (when I didn't) this is a definite no no. Its really the only gripe I have with Simgot iems when I look at the graphs, they love that elevated upper mid region/3k peak. The EM10 looks interesting but the measurements show that's even more pronounced in that region that the SM4. Will you be reviewing it? I appreciate some people aren't sensitive to that region so don't find those kind of upper mid presentations shrill/shouty, hence being subjective. I really like and respect that you made it clear on multiple occasions that this was just your opinion. Whilst that should seem obvious to people, many take a reviewers opinion as objective fact and are obsessed with which iem is objectively better x or y. or which one "wins". One person could have a totally different perception and preference to another person hence choosing y when you find x superior, which is fine.
Thank you for your respectful and kind words. That's exactly how it should be, in my opinion. While I am more sensitive to treble than to mid-range shoutiness, I do notice it. The Variations provided a more balanced experience for me, but everyone's ears and preferences are different. SIMGOT does seem to favor an elevated upper mid-region, which can be a hit or miss depending on your sensitivity. I'm not sure if I will review the EM10. I appreciate your point about subjectivity in reviews. Audio perception is incredibly personal, and what works for one person might not for another. My goal is to provide my honest impressions while recognizing that they are just that-my impressions. It's crucial for each person to find what suits their tastes and sensitivities best, and to consider various reviews, frequency response graphs, and budget factors. Thanks again for your thoughtful comment! Your understanding of the subjectivity in audio reviews is refreshing and much appreciated.
Although I find it a bit on the bright side, there's no denying the sound quality. The EA500 LM has a certain magic to it, with bass quality and texture that’s unlike anything else I’ve encountered in this price range or even higher.
Was watching an ea500lm on ebay and the seller offered it for 50 bucks. Couldn't say no. Can't wait to try them out and compare to my ew200. I hope they can impress me like the sonus. Sonus is currently my top budget pick. It's technical performance is crazy for the price
Great review! thank you. I have the LMs and the Em6ls and really like them. I was very excited at first and now I think they are a side grade to either Lms or the EM6ls.
Agree that quintet sounds metallic and harsh in the treble region. It perfectly epitomizes all the not so desirable hallmarks of ba&pzt drivers, which leads to a very artificial sound perception.
I agree. You know exactly what I'm talking about. Although these issues are less pronounced on the SM4 (compared to the Quintet), they are still present, unlike in other IEMs where these problems are not found.
Absolutely. The mid-range tuning ensures that it's never fatiguing. The Explorer is more resolving than the EA500 LM, making it an IEM you can listen to for hours without any discomfort. It's comfortable (small size, excellent fit) and never harsh, shouty, or fatiguing. It is an upgrade IMO.
I'm glad I came across this video when I was looking for something as my first middle class earphones (over $100). The SM4 was my first choice, but now the Aful explorer will be my first choice. (I do have a concern that there are several reviews that say the soundstage is too narrow.) For now, I'm going to focus on price and go with the X-melody Suzuran or the EA500LM. I'm going to go all out and go with the Explorer. (Goodbye SM4)
I'm glad I could help! You're right, the soundstage of the Explorer is a bit intimate, but it enhances the vocal experience. The EA500 LM is also an excellent alternative.
The EA500 LM has more bass with greater slam and a different bass texture. On the other hand, the EA1000 excels in detail retrieval, instrument separation, and imaging. It also sounds wider and has a different tonality in the mid-range, with some parts sounding accentuated. However, the EA1000 can get slightly harsh with certain tracks, whereas the EA500 LM is less harsh with the same tracks. Ultimately, the biggest difference is in the clarity.
Nice review! I am looking for warm relax set with polite treble and "not in your face" vocals. What do you think will be upgrade for Aful Explorer in any budget? I really like the graph of these and think about order one UM Mest 2/3 has kinda similar graph but i am afraid they dont really warm set and dont have that low emphasis
XENNS UP has a similar graph to the Explorer. I like the DUNU Falcon Ultra and Elysian Pilgrim for IEMs that have good detail without ever sounding harsh with any music.
I hope a 5128 measurement comes out for both it and the explorer , the 711 coupler in 90% of cases either underestimates bass on the graph or overestimates it. Hopefully its only that and it needs 2 -3 db mid bass boost cause otherwise that would be a bit dissapointing Would be really curious to know what your thoughts are after an eq like this Preamp: -2.0 dB Filter 1: ON PK Fc 350 Hz Gain 2.0 dB Q 0.700 Filter 2: ON PK Fc 3200 Hz Gain -2.0 dB Q 1.000
Hey there, I just gave it a try. The shoutiness is completely gone, but now the vocals sound recessed and dark, almost veiled. The bass has increased but feels muddy and boomy, and it still doesn't have the slam of the EA500 LM.
@@Atechreviews i see, on a graph it looks fine but it seems i went overboard with it despite the bass being the same as the explorer , this is why i like eq-ing on a 5128 cause its alot more accurate for everything below the lower midrange and treble
@@Atechreviews Would be curious to know your thoughts if you were to try another eq Shouldn't be muddy anymore ! Preamp: -3.0 dB Filter 1: ON PK Fc 120 Hz Gain 3.0 dB Q 0.700 Filter 2: ON PK Fc 3200 Hz Gain -2.0 dB Q 1.000
interestingly based on graph, the subass and bass should be higher on supermix 4, but maybe because the driver size (DD one) difference, the slam is better on EA500 since its single big DD?
Enjoy your SuperMix 4 :) I didn’t really compare them for gaming. I have to do that first before I can give you an accurate answer, but I think each IEM has its own strengths depending on what you’re looking for. For example, some people might appreciate the bass for picking up footsteps, while others could find the bass a bit distracting or feel that it masks some sounds during the game. I really love the imaging accuracy on the EA500 LM. Personally, the best IEM I've used for gaming is the Ziigaat Arete.
@@Atechreviews You’re absolutely right about the hype factor, we get swept up in the buzz and end up buying into trends. The SuperMix does seem to be riding that wave right now. As for the Ziigaat Arete, they are on the pricier side, but as they say, if you want to play, you’ve got to pay. Love your video by the way.
@@Atechreviews A video focusing specifically on gaming IEMs, especially for FPS shooters, would be a great idea! When I first ventured into IEMs, I started with the x Crinacle Zero Red & Blues, and I wasn’t impressed with either. That’s what led me to try the SuperMix, and the improvement was noticeable.
Seems i will get the Explorer then? From all that i heard, it really seems to be better in a lot of ways. And it's sound signature seems very interesting!
I want the explorer too, because of the treble is lower for my volumes. But I will get both because the simgot has better drivers and to change Into explorer I just need a 400 mesh filter that cost me 10 cents.
Question: What source did you use to test the SM4? I read this iem has a very low impedance so sources with an output impedance of over 1 will affect their sound signature. Thanks!
Your general description of the sound signature of sm4 reminded me of the characteristics of juzear41t. Well balanced, not musical nor clinical, smoothed out, dull transients with subpar dynamics. Tbh, for a technicalities & midrange head like me, I am torn between pilgrim and volare from IO audio now. I hope, you will have a chance to listen to volare in the near future 😂 thanks for the review.
You might not have the 8k peak exactly at 8k when wearing the iem in your ears. If you try to find the peak maybe with a sweep or specific tones, and try to match that peak in the graph, you might get a similar graph to what you are hearing. In other words, the 8k peak graphs only serve as reference for what you will hear if you also have the peak on 8k. If you have the peak in lower freqs like 6 o 7k, it will get sibilant and spicy in your ears and you can get that graph if you measure with the iem a little further out of the coupler. Nice review. New sub.
Certainly, it can be used for gaming and online meetings, but in my opinion, it's not ideal. The shoutiness and metallic treble timbre might make prolonged use uncomfortable, especially for FPS games. In contrast, the EA500 LM costs half as much and is better suited for these tasks. Its superior bass reproduction helps in discerning footsteps, while the improved detail retrieval and less shouty vocals reduce fatigue during extended use.
@@eboboboy More drivers don’t necessarily mean better sound. You can find IEMs with 16 drivers for under $80, if that's something you're interested in trying. On the other hand, there are IEMs like the Moondrop Beautiful World, which has a single dynamic driver and costs $777. High-quality single dynamic drivers and planars can cover the full frequency spectrum and provide an excellent frequency response. The advantage of a single driver is the cohesive sound it offers, which is often harder to achieve with hybrid designs. The benefit of multiple drivers lies in their ability to fine-tune specific frequencies, allowing for a tuning that might be difficult to achieve with a single driver. Some drivers, like electrostatic (EST) drivers, have a unique sonic character that's hard to replicate with other types. Similarly, planar and dynamic drivers each have their distinct strengths, such as the impactful bass from dynamic drivers. However, multiple drivers require careful implementation. To prevent them from interfering with each other, components like crossover boards, acoustic tubes, and resistors are used. If not done correctly, this can lead to phase distortion or an uneven phase response. When implemented well, though, these issues can be avoided, and the frequency response can be finely tuned for optimal performance. Ultimately, there is no definitive good or bad approach. Hearing more instruments and better instrument separation depends on the quality of the drivers, their low distortion, and a good frequency response. In my experience, single planar driver IEMs excel in detail and separation.
Very interesting review! I just got the Supermix 4, and have my EA500LMs still. So far in listening I really can't hear much of a difference...so might not keep the Supermix 4 after all. Do you think a large part is just that they have such a similar sound signature, so the differences might barely be noticeable? Was also considering the Aful Explorer.but went for the SM4 instead...
I notice a difference in the bass of the EA500 LM; it has a stronger slam and more texture. To me, the EA500 LM sounds more cohesive and natural, with better detail retrieval. Trying different songs might highlight these differences. They have similar frequency response graphs and are expected to sound alike.
@@Atechreviews That makes sense. I'm gonna keep trying a bit A/B-ing them like you do and if I still can't tell the difference or it's too close I will probably sell my SM4s
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the review. Sounds like a solid plan - the Pula PA02 is excellent (I would say better than the SM4). The Explorer is another IEM with a different tonality that is great addition to your collection IMO.
Among the IEMs I mentioned in the video I would rank them like so: 1. EA1000 2. Binary Chopin 3. AFUL Explorer My top 3 under $500: 1. Elysian Pilgrim 2. DUNU DaVinci 3. Tanchjim Origin
@@Atechreviews tanchjim origin is not much expensive than ea1000, so what is your top 3 best bang for buck iems when you consider sound quality/price ratio ?
Hmm i have already the DaVinci, but i wanted a second set for travel/sidegrade, I thought of the SM4 but it still doesn't convince me, although Axplorer looks dope, it would feel redundant. I'm also interested in the Tamchjim 4U though. IEMs world is a labyrinth i swear.
I came away with the same experiences as you. With some genres, the SM4 is OK (acoustic rock, folk, etc). But with Metal, Hip-hop, Classic Rock, the SM4 is very shouty, and the mid-bass is sucked out, exacerbating the shout.
So when I EQ the SM4 with a little less treble and a little more upper bass, so that I can turn them up to high volume without them getting shrill, Harmon EQ be damned these things sound great. Clarity and dynamics remain across the frequency range and overall warmth and musicality blossom without losing the treble sparkle and airiness.
That is a nice idea actually. Although the Mega5est was a bit dark to me with average technicalities, I would love to see an IEM with a similar tuning at a lower price.
I'm not a fan of the EM6L. It features a QDC connector and has some issues that detract from the listening experience. There's slight bass bleed, the treble can become harsh, the bass lacks texture and has an average slam, and the mid-range can get shouty. Compared to the SM4, the EM6L has less bass and less upper mid-range but more treble.
Great Video! All the IEMs I currently look into! My Q would be, if the Explorer is the one to be favoured over the 500LM? I chose the Delci over the LM because it seamed to be the better deal cost wise, but now my next thing could be the Explorer, since the Nova (CKLVX should be, too) was too big for my ears....
LM vs Explorer is a comparison I'm curious about too. There was no LM comparison in the Explorer video on the channel. Of course they are quite different in terms of sound profile, but at least a comparison in terms of technicalities would be great.
The Explorer has a more balanced sound compared to the EA500 LM. The EA500 LM is more vocal-forward, but its male vocals can sound a bit lean, and its upper mid-range can be somewhat energetic at times. However, considering the price and its other strengths, these aspects are forgivable IMO. In contrast, the Explorer places vocals in a comfortable, intimate range, avoiding any shoutiness or harshness. It delivers detailed and smooth treble without being harsh, and its lower mid-range sounds natural and full-bodied, unlike the lean male vocals of the EA500 LM. Additionally, the Explorer has slightly more bass with better texture and detail and has better technicalities and detail retrieval. The Explorer's ear pieces are very small as well. I hope this helps.
@mertyorulmaz2033 I just wrote a comparison in response to the comment. The Explorer offers significantly better technicalities and detail retrieval compared to the EA500 LM.
I brought SM4 and found the treble is grainy, but that grain cause the bass to sound textured. I also have Chopin and the treble is completely smooth. Then, I swap SM4's to Chopin, and the Chopin becomes grainier. I think some people will call that grain "details", "texture", or "air" but I hate it. I think the harshness you talked about might be this grain from cable, swapping the cable to cheap copper cable remove this grain too. I hope you try SM4 on another cable.
Thanks for the review! You mentioned you prefer the EA500LM but doesn't it have the shrill and shoutyness that you dislike on the upper frequencies? I personally too have such issues hence asking.
I didn't mean to imply the EA500 LM doesn't have these issues-it does, and I understand your point. The upper mid-range of the EA500 LM can be too energetic at times. However, these issues are much more exaggerated in the SuperMix 4. When I switched back to the EA500 LM, I found these problems to be much less pronounced. So the issues of the SM4 are there but much less in the EA500 LM. In hindsight, I might have been more forgiving due to the EA500 LM's price and its other strengths, which are hard to find at this price point.
@@Atechreviews thanks for the reply! I find it quite surprising that the SuperMix 4 has such issues as the graph doesn't imply that.. Always great to hear from reviewers like you
@@calvinlooi4500 Thanks, man. Yeah, the graphs show that the upper mid-range is at the edge of what most people will tolerate. I think driver quality, type, material and diaphragm type play a significant role in the sound, as do crossover circuits. For many people, it will be okay, just like the EA500 LM works for many despite its small issues. Graphs can show tonality but not timbre, resolution, bass slam, and texture. Honestly, if I hadn't compared the SM4 to the EA500 LM, I would say it was okay with a few issues. But if the EA500 LM is better, what's the point?
@@techblizmax9660 I didn't say or imply anything like that. I was simply sharing my opinion on two IEMs in comparison. The debate between single-driver and multi-driver or hybrid IEMs is a separate issue, dependent on factors such as tuning, driver quality, crossover design, and implementation. In other words, it doesn't matter if the IEM has a single DD driver or 2 DD + 4 BA + 4 EST drivers. What matters is the sound quality in the end and this depends on each IEM itself, not the driver type and count.
Sir can you recommend me few iem for listening metal like hanabie and nemophila, most user says supermix its too smooth and less energy. My budget is around 500$ thx u kind sir and sorry for my english.
The Elysian Pilgrim is the safest IEM for metal music. I use it and it never sounds uncomfortable, even with genres prone to harshness like rock and metal, while delivering impressive technical detail retrieval and vocal clarity. The DUNU DaVinci is another excellent option that handles metal well without sounding harsh. It offers a fun, bass-heavy experience, depending on your preferences.
@@Atechreviews thx u very much sir for the recommendation. I just tired from planar iem even they sound awesome for metal, but for other genre? My playlist other than metal are just accessory just for show. I really thank you sir.
Get a 400 mesh filter dude. Problem solved. About the tuning . If the graph is the same in 2 iem but sounds different is because of quality of the driver. There is dd drivers that cost me 100 dollars per unit for me to install. I mean good drivers that i can lower the tuning and still the resolution still there. Like listen to a 90mps mp3 and a flac file.
@Atechreviews example . For the w200 from simgot was so shoty at my loud concert volumes that I place one spo ge inside close to the grill from inside. Then a new grill and then a 400 mesh sticker to taim that treble. Perfect now. Bass is thick
I have both and honestly i am telling you 500LM is very pleasing sound compared to SM4 , you get 10-20% better on high but mids and bass is better on 500LM, stage wider on LM bur deep on sm4 , i found resolution 5% better on sm4, for game SM4 but for music 500LM is better by 50% surprising elements like the way instrument presentation on LM, SM4 try to deep the details but enjoyable is 500LM, with price double.. by the way i add one more filter on 500LM, but supermix 4 you can’t do anything, you like it or not you have to listen with , mean you can modify LM so easily with your test of music…
If you're seeking an IEM with a sound profile close to Harman tuning, the Truthear Nova is a viable option. If you find its sound a bit thin, you can easily adjust it with a small EQ. Alternatively, if you prefer a different tuning, both the EA500 LM and the Explorer are excellent choices.

Still loving my Simgot EA500lm. It's more fun than many iems costing way more. I sold my Pilgrims and Dunu Davinci but kept my ea500lm.
Although I find it a bit on the bright side, there's no denying the sound quality. The EA500 LM has a certain magic to it, with bass quality and texture that’s unlike anything else I’ve encountered in this price range or even higher.
This is a nice review! Thank you very much for being honest and comprehensive. New subscriber here.
Thanks for the sub!
Thanks for the review! However, I am really excited for the SuperMix 4, I love how it looks on the graph, so I have ordered on Linsoul yesterday lol.
I see no problem with that. I hope you enjoy it! 🙂
Was watching an ea500lm on ebay and the seller offered it for 50 bucks. Couldn't say no. Can't wait to try them out and compare to my ew200. I hope they can impress me like the sonus. Sonus is currently my top budget pick. It's technical performance is crazy for the price
That's a great deal.
Great review! thank you. I have the LMs and the Em6ls and really like them. I was very excited at first and now I think they are a side grade to either Lms or the EM6ls.
You're welcome!
Hi #Atech
Which is better upgrade
For EW200
500LM / Explorer? 😊
Explorer. The EA500 LM could sound a bit bright.
Would be nice to hear your impression of the new EM10.
Hmmm.
Hey there. I love the EA500LM but sometimes they can be a bit fatiguing. Is the explorer a good choice for a side/upgrade?
@@Atechreviews Thanks for the response. Love your vids!
I'm glad I came across this video when I was looking for something as my first middle class earphones (over $100).
The SM4 was my first choice, but now the Aful explorer will be my first choice. (I do have a concern that there are several reviews that say the soundstage is too narrow.)
For now, I'm going to focus on price and go with the X-melody Suzuran or the EA500LM. I'm going to go all out and go with the Explorer. (Goodbye SM4)
I'm glad I could help! You're right, the soundstage of the Explorer is a bit intimate, but it enhances the vocal experience. The EA500 LM is also an excellent alternative.
What does the ea1000 do better than the e500lm? And vice versa?
The EA500 LM has more bass with greater slam and a different bass texture. On the other hand, the EA1000 excels in detail retrieval, instrument separation, and imaging. It also sounds wider and has a different tonality in the mid-range, with some parts sounding accentuated. However, the EA1000 can get slightly harsh with certain tracks, whereas the EA500 LM is less harsh with the same tracks. Ultimately, the biggest difference is in the clarity.
Aful explorer or Performer 5 ! What do you Like 😊 ?
I prefer the bass of the Explorer and the treble of the Performer 5.
Nice review! I am looking for warm relax set with polite treble and "not in your face" vocals. What do you think will be upgrade for Aful Explorer in any budget? I really like the graph of these and think about order one
UM Mest 2/3 has kinda similar graph but i am afraid they dont really warm set and dont have that low emphasis
XENNS UP has a similar graph to the Explorer. I like the DUNU Falcon Ultra and Elysian Pilgrim for IEMs that have good detail without ever sounding harsh with any music.
@@Atechreviews thanks) i will consider them
I hope a 5128 measurement comes out for both it and the explorer , the 711 coupler in 90% of cases either underestimates bass on the graph or overestimates it.
Hopefully its only that and it needs 2 -3 db mid bass boost cause otherwise that would be a bit dissapointing
Would be really curious to know what your thoughts are after an eq like this
Preamp: -2.0 dB
Filter 1: ON PK Fc 350 Hz Gain 2.0 dB Q 0.700
Filter 2: ON PK Fc 3200 Hz Gain -2.0 dB Q 1.000
Hey there, I just gave it a try. The shoutiness is completely gone, but now the vocals sound recessed and dark, almost veiled. The bass has increased but feels muddy and boomy, and it still doesn't have the slam of the EA500 LM.
@@Atechreviews i see, on a graph it looks fine but it seems i went overboard with it despite the bass being the same as the explorer , this is why i like eq-ing on a 5128 cause its alot more accurate for everything below the lower midrange and treble
@@Atechreviews Would be curious to know your thoughts if you were to try another eq
Shouldn't be muddy anymore !
Preamp: -3.0 dB
Filter 1: ON PK Fc 120 Hz Gain 3.0 dB Q 0.700
Filter 2: ON PK Fc 3200 Hz Gain -2.0 dB Q 1.000
Good review. Thanks
Thanks for watching!
interestingly based on graph, the subass and bass should be higher on supermix 4, but maybe because the driver size (DD one) difference, the slam is better on EA500 since its single big DD?
I'm not sure why. It could be due to the driver size, flexibility, diaphragm type, or the lack of crossover.
I bought the SIMGOT SuperMix 4 for gaming and I cant complain. Out of all of the IEM's you recommended which would you use for FPS Shooters?
@@invest_9361 Thanks!
@@invest_9361 That's a great idea. I might do a video on that topic in the future.
Seems i will get the Explorer then? From all that i heard, it really seems to be better in a lot of ways. And it's sound signature seems very interesting!
Yeah, especially with the comfort factor going for it.
It is definitely an upgrade IMO.
Thanks!
Mostly TOPPING A90, L70, G5, and THX 789.
You're welcome!
New sub.
Thanks a lot for the info 👍👍👍
Maybe this simgot SM4 is more for FPS games rather than music?
And it might be good for working (ie: online meetings)
Certainly, it can be used for gaming and online meetings, but in my opinion, it's not ideal. The shoutiness and metallic treble timbre might make prolonged use uncomfortable, especially for FPS games. In contrast, the EA500 LM costs half as much and is better suited for these tasks. Its superior bass reproduction helps in discerning footsteps, while the improved detail retrieval and less shouty vocals reduce fatigue during extended use.
@@Atechreviews interesting. But seems EA500LM is a single DD and SM4 has a multi driver, so it would be different in how many instruments we can hear.
@@Atechreviews Thanks so much for the comprehensive explanation. I will take time to learn more from it.
@@eboboboy You're welcome.
I'm gonna keep trying a bit A/B-ing them like you do and if I still can't tell the difference or it's too close I will probably sell my SM4s
great review again, i will pass this hard, i already have pula pa02, that's better, and i think i'll get explorer too
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the review. Sounds like a solid plan - the Pula PA02 is excellent (I would say better than the SM4). The Explorer is another IEM with a different tonality that is great addition to your collection IMO.
so among the iems mentioned in this video is your top 3 : ea1000>ea500>explorer ? and what about your top3 under $500 ?
Among the IEMs I mentioned in the video I would rank them like so:
1. EA1000
2. Binary Chopin
3. AFUL Explorer
My top 3 under $500:
1. Elysian Pilgrim
2. DUNU DaVinci
3. Tanchjim Origin
@@Atechreviews tanchjim origin is not much expensive than ea1000, so what is your top 3 best bang for buck iems when you consider sound quality/price ratio ?
@@amanieux What price range are you referring to?
@@Atechreviews $100-$300 price range
@@Atechreviews How would you compare the EA1000 to the Tanchjim Origin? I've heard they're quite similar
Labyrinth LOL 👍. You are right.
I came away with the same experiences as you. With some genres, the SM4 is OK (acoustic rock, folk, etc). But with Metal, Hip-hop, Classic Rock, the SM4 is very shouty, and the mid-bass is sucked out, exacerbating the shout.
Yeah, with metal and rock (even classic rock) it is very shouty.
I would like a Simgot with XuanNv or Mega5 eat tuning.
That is a nice idea actually. Although the Mega5est was a bit dark to me with average technicalities, I would love to see an IEM with a similar tuning at a lower price.
Compared to EM6L?
@@Atechreviews This helps a lot. I've kind of decided now. Thanks so much for your time man.
@@mertyorulmaz2033 You're more than welcome 🙂
I brought SM4 and found the treble is grainy, but that grain cause the bass to sound textured. I also have Chopin and the treble is completely smooth. Then, I swap SM4's to Chopin, and the Chopin becomes grainier. I think some people will call that grain "details", "texture", or "air" but I hate it. I think the harshness you talked about might be this grain from cable, swapping the cable to cheap copper cable remove this grain too. I hope you try SM4 on another cable.
Correction, I swap SM4's cable to Chopin, and the Chopin becomes grainier.
Interesting. I will give it a try.
Came down to Explorer vs EA500LM, final fight
The Explorer is more relaxed, with a laidback, smoother mid-range and treble. The EA500 LM is brighter along with great detail and solid bass.
Is the EM6L better than the ea500lm
To me the EA500 LM is better.
@@Atechreviews So, the Single DD works better, and it's pointless to spend extra right?

Get a 400 mesh filter dude. Problem solved. About the tuning . If the graph is the same in 2 iem but sounds different is because of quality of the driver. The Chopin is expensive, bro; but DaVinci is a better choice.
