You can also try visiting Nelligudde Kere Reservoir which is just 2kms from Bidadi bus stand. Not much happening place, but nice view of water to visit on the way.

Very unfortunate that you couldn't see the functionality of the manual gates. Amazing tech used way back in the 40s, suggest you should go back to see the manual gate function.
