I had an idea for using the active camouflage on the ground. If you could make some sort of traction sensor, I think it would be possible to detect what kind of surface you are on. Maybe a go-kart or racing wheel spinning independently from your vehicle's wheels with some sort of suspension and distance sensor setup to act like a force sensor. I started typing this right before you started talking about your idea lol. Anyway, I think this might be a viable concept, would be cool to see you try this.

I think the stealth technology is awesome, but even with names off in a server when you get close to someone it still shows their name so maybe make a cloaking plane that can level off at a certain height from the ground target, and then have a turret that is attached to pistons for more speed and range. I also messed with cloaking and uploaded a plane called the f-202 phantom that is made for coverage from only the ground
I also tested seeing what the cloaking looks from the ground and i saw that the lights turn to black after reaching a certain distance from the player so i would test that to see if cloaking is even a viable stealth option
@@yeti_pizza2015 in my opinion, just like irl, stealth is not about being so invisible that you can punch the enemy without them noticing, but rather just being hard enough to spot to get first strike. and i do think this meets those requirements.
you can much more easily make a calculator now. video idea, mess with railguns, tractor beam guns whatever the fuck they're called. they're extremely good on ships, better than tank cannons with a piston jolt. only issue is ammo.
@@ThisIsDumbAllTheNamesAreTaken I use 2 radars on either side of the vehicle they both can store 5 positions. It’s changes the color based off the combination that the radars sees. It’s very accurate in desserts and buildings, it’s good at detecting mountains, and struggles when detecting grassy areas. There are 2 main problems, Since the brightness of the colors between grass and sand are so different it’s not really possible to get both a good sand color and a good grass color. It uses shallow to medium hills to determine a place is a grasslands since that’s a feature that is pretty unique to them in trailmakers but if the grass area is almost perfectly flat the system will detect it as a desert.
If this is even possible it would be a big project but combining remote controlled creations. In combination with distance sensors would it be possible to “scan” an area of the map and then if it changes give an exact location? Maybe make a display showing the land or maybe make an automatic defense system. This is vary far-fetched but an idea.
its definitely possible. if i just use enough distance sensors and i have them be stationary and just barely not detect the land then yeah it would spot targets. the problem is scale. trailmakers does not like large creations. it favors vehicles rather than buildings.
Maybe you could try experimenting with zero power core vehicles or weapons. I made an ornithopter a while back when me and some of my friends did a zero power core challenge and I couldn't think of what to arm it with since I couldn't use guns or explosives.
i also have quite a few ornithopters. i suggest melee with detachable anchor pins or weight blocks to ither lock up the enemy vehicle or cause them to fall out of the sky.
@@ThisIsDumbAllTheNamesAreTakenthat's an interesting idea, but I was mainly thinking about air to ground (I probably should have specified that) since none of my friends knew how to make an ornithopter. The more I think about it the more a mele fighter ornithopter sounds sick, I'll probably make one of those sooner or later.
Running out of ideas? New blocks means new armor types, and most of all new weapons. I encourage you to mess arround with the new colision physics untill you find somthing that exploits it to deal a stupid amout of damage, while also taking minimal damage. Ive seen this happen several times fairly consistantly, usually with the use of leverage
ive found that some very high power railguns phase inside the enemy tank or creation and then completely obliterates the entire creation and sometimes the round can even survive
I would really like to know how to do gear shifting with accumulators. Not just 2 gears. I'm talking about sports cars wth 5,6,7 gears. That would be a nice thing. I spend the whole day and just can't figure it out. I was close but not exactly what I had in mind

This is really cool, I just made an automated ground cloaking system. It works based off the shape of the environment.
interesting, how precise is it and what do you use?

@geraldtheoctopus1594 pistons and detachable blocks. Just shoot a 2 ton brick, what can they do?

true.
@gnomed3129 just as I predicted, railguns would become less effective. But things like scorn penatrators are still gonna be scorn penatrators.
