Loving the look of the NEW airport. But as it built directly on Pangloa island, I hope it doesnt spoil the peacefulness of the beach resorts, because of aircraft noise and make the island too comercialized. I love airports and flying, but I wouldn't want to see planes flying over, for example if I was island hopping in El Nido or Coron. I mean can you just imagine planes landing in El Nido every five minutes.
I believe it wasn't needed, Bohol like many other places are giving way to Concrete infrastructures that eventually damage places. Now the Cebu Bridge to Talibon has been given the go-ahead, I mean really? this will, even more, destroy a beautiful place.. sometimes my country people just don't think it through.
Hmmm are they going to turn this place into another Boracay? I hope not! Local governments in PH needs to develop quality leadership and not just mandated by money grubbing politicking.
There is an airport in Tagbilaran as well in Cebu, why do they need to make new one. From Cebu they can catch a Speed Boat to tagbilaran which is more exciting and adventurous.
As far as I know, this started in 2006. After two years building they had to stop because there was no money anymore. In 2008, when I arrive in Cebu, I wanted to take a look at the new airport but it was unfinished and even worse, stopped building. What a waste of money and time. So, now, finally after another 10 years, it's bound to happen.... Like so many other huge works,... Ocean bridge in Cordova and the metro they are planning in Cebu City,....high speed train,... and so on. I really hope there will be some money left over for fixing the ordinary roads in Bacolod. We are STILL driving our cars from one pit to another and braking our suspensions and shocks.... Oh yes, and while you are busy,... PLEASE do something about your TERRIBLE internet,... it's WORTHLESS....(that is affecting millions of people,... an new airport is only for the rich few...) but I guess that will need to wait for the next coming airports ? Who said : "learn to walk before you run" ? More ideas ? Okay, what about FINALLY start working with a 3th ground wire for you electricity ? Will prevent a lot of "accidents" but maybe THAT need to wait until the HUNDREDS of new malls are ready ? One mall is choking the other,.... but nobody mind,.... it's nothing personal,... it's business.... Nobody need ANOTHER Mall, but you brake your neck over the new projects..... Why not FIX the "small" problems first, which annoy thousands of people every day ? Or do you think you don't have any ?
