    In my opinion, the greatest thing Freemasonry offers is the opportunity to serve. To serve our brothers, communities, and fellow man is to put the tenets of Freemasonry into action. If someone comes into the fraternity looking for gain they are going to be disappointed.

    • @beaujackson445
      @beaujackson445 Год назад +4

      Service is certainly a great opportunity and means to improve yourself in any number of the many ways we can improve ourselves, but especially in those fundamental three: morality or goodness, education or wisdom, and spirituality... or power.
      All aspects of the Great Architect. Thus shall we "unfold the mysteries of godliness."

    I agree with what you are saying and it is a powerful reminder for every Mason but I think what tends to be lacking in many lodges is the loss of mentoring from the older Masons to newer Masons. You can have lodges with multiple 30-50 year brothers that are set in their ways and have shared experiences but are not always excepting to younger/newer brothers that are starting their journeys and do not want to mentor or discuss Masonry. I have seen multiple EAs walk away for this reason.

    I have a question for any Mason thats reading this please answer: what percentage of Madons practice a Religion like Judaism or Christianity. The reason I dont join the Masons is because I dont think I believe in a God the way you do. Even though I was raised Catholic. Giving birth to a child is a Godly selfless act in a way, or having children, or working hard for the greater good. I am more of a Science guy, agnostic compared to you.
    Life is what we make it, and we are the Godly people, or a people gor the greater good of all. As we are seperated from the animals. So even though I may believe in God, its not like you guys believe where he's an outsider working with the earth. So thats the main reason I dont join,but love your Fraternity, and your teachings. But I ask since the G stands for God and him the master architect. What percentage of you guys follow a Religion? Because I dont.

    • @ScottishRiteMasons
      @ScottishRiteMasons  9 месяцев назад +1

      Percentage I couldn’t say, because we don’t ask people their specific faith. My guess is about 90% fall into one of the 3 Abrahamic faiths.
      It’s a simple question- do you believe in a higher power? Call it God or by another name.
      If your answer is yes, you’d likely be welcome in most lodges. Some grand lodges have differ rules. So your mileage may vary.

    • @secretamericayoutubechanne2961
      @secretamericayoutubechanne2961 9 месяцев назад +1

      @ScottishRiteMasons The answer is Yes! I believe we can tap into sophistications, science. Math and that working together as a society and feeling for one another is a Higher Power I suppose. Acknowledgeing the enjoyment, sophistication, and mysteries of life also is Acknowledgeing something greater than one self. ✨️

    Wait a minute... He said Charleston gave France a copy of its ritual so France could get the Scottish Rite going in France😳... How the hell did that happen when France is the Origin of AASR..

    • @ScottishRiteMasons
      @ScottishRiteMasons  Год назад +2

      The supreme council added and combined some things and in 1804 Alexandre August DeGrasse Tilly took copies of what the Charleston Supreme Council had done and used them to start the supreme council of France.
      The degrees are mostly of French origin, it’s true. Stephen (Etienne) Morin and his order of the Royal Secret upon which the Supreme Council degrees are mostly based did indeed hail from France. But there were significant changes from the last 1700s to early 1800s.
      Which is why we are called “mother council of the world”.

    • @cbrumant
      @cbrumant Год назад +1

      you forgot to mention that both the GoDF and the Grand Chapter were reluctant in accepting De Grasse-Tilly's system, as they viewed many of the degrees that he claimed to have authority over, as being in their library of degrees that they reserved for the Vth Order Masons of the French Rite. Folger writes about this in many of his books @@ScottishRiteMasons

    I'm not a free mason but I've been watching your channel few months ago. I've noticed that you're trying hard to teach people about freemasonry and trying to clear the misconceptions about your organization. I met one day a free mason in a gas station and he told me that the number of people opting in is decreasing. I want to tell you something : you cannot convince a lot of people to join your organization when they are not aware of what's going on behind door. What about if when they join and they trying to exit and it's too late ! You cannot expect people to join your organization with so much privacy that's the word that you like to use but I'll say so much secrets. People will join with curiosity and not because they are convinced. So if you don't have anything to hide make it public make your rituals public just like in churches and you'll surprise how many people will join.
