I remember seeing an ad for this game as a kid.. it was on the back of a comicbook I had.. I thought it looked so cool 😎.. never got to play it though. I think it was an advertisement for Turbo Graphics with an X 16 lol 😂 I'm old.. so forgive my spelling lol 😂
Old? You haven't been old unless you were a teenager with the Turbo Grafix 16 and playing this on a Sega Master System or the arcades! Fwiw, the game was hard to beat (a few tricks worked on the Master system, but with the arcade you were hard-pressed to go through a lot of quarters/tokens to beat the game)
If this game toned down on the demi-gods that were the bosses, this game would have been pretty good. Unfortunately, the game creators were greedy pricks who made your attacks as weak as a baby fart, and the boss's attacks were like shotgun blasts. For that, this game sucks, to me at least.
@@sasamisa1806 Kung-Fu master was cheap, too, but nowhere near as cheap as this game was. At least the attacks are balanced somewhat and you can beat all bosses in 6 or less hits.

One day I had went to pawn shop with my mom an the had a sega master system there an it a cartridge in it. I had no idea what the game was but begged my to get that Sega for me. I got home hooked it up not know what game it was. An it was this game right here. I was like what the world it's this game. I got so good I beat it on the master system. Never beat the arcade still though. Hand comer the first boss yelling 😂

Heh~ I used to think it was "Pai-zamal" or something similar... (at least the speech in Runark/Growl was clearer so you could hear it was "Hey, come on!").
Arcade programmers were masters at making enemies only take damage when they decide to allow you too :D You can see him feeling around with the kicks whether the final boss was in "take damage" mode or not, if not then run away and try again.
The "Hitting" was very satisfying in this game. You knock them right out of this world

The blocking mechanic was a tad annoying, especially compared to its predecessor, Kung-Fu Master. (^_^)
