Lane Hutson for Calder? Its an interesting topic. I think it will be tough. The NHL often awards the Calder to forwards. You might look at Seider and his just 50 points.. However he played a much more physical mold and consisent 200 foot game then Hutson. Not to mention was a apart of a weaker class. That all being said. I believe he will deserve it. If the Habs PP1 stays healthy for like 40 out of 49 games left, I don't see a world where he dosen't get anywhere from 40-45 points in that time. Which would give him a 65-70 point season with his current point totals. Maybe there is something I'm missing with Hutson. He only ever played about 40 games a season in College. So maybe we see some regression afterwards like Pettersson. But the way he plays. He's performed at every level every game. I dont see a reason why his game would dip. In terms of offensively, Hutson hasn't really had bad games. Hes had worse games where he dosen't get a point and dosen't make all his moves. But no one in the NHL especially as a rookie plays with no off games. Im interested to see if 65-70 points will give Lane Hutson the calder. It may shy away voters from the traditional forward like Michkov or Celebrini. I think Michkov wilk score about 30g 30a. Thats the like benchline i set for him. So about 60-70 points. Celebrini with the way hes been performing could be around ppg in the games be plays like 64 in 68 which might give him the edge.
Fourth at best behind the Ruskie , the kid in San Jose and Wolfe the Flames goalie, the toughest position for a rookie. Take off your Hab bias and be realistic.
Why not Lane Hutson? Name someone who is more deserving..Sure he could have spent a year with Laval honing his defensive skills and then been named Calder Trophy winner, but MSL is doing a good job of giving him responsibility as earned.
At the moment Celebrini and Michkov for me are over Hutson. Definitely Michkov. But by the end of the year Hutson if he's healthy will hit 65+ points. And for a defenseman that's a guarantee win
Now that i think more about it. We should trade Jake Evans, if the return is great. I feel like it would be okay to let him go because he wont be comfortable in a competitive team because he is not use to it. Pressure could get to him and he can start declining. Which would be best for us to resign after the season.
I d’as agree with pressure factor he would die for a win jake evans is a warrior no doubt I wouldn’t trade him unless he wants to go or the reward is to big. All my respect to jake evans
Lane is so fun to follow !!! Lests go big D
Merci Alexandre. Joyeux Noel

Thank you for your comment! I’ve taken special note of your thoughts. Let’s see next June if Hutson earns a nomination or not!
