Hi Charie, quick question, why are the footings and trench blocks so deep ? When I watched the setting out vid I thought maybe they were having a cellar ?
Good bit of filming there mate, some back breakers them trench n washing machine combo, why dont they order resdy mix, its a pain in the arse shoveling it twice 👍
Love all your videos but haven't seen some for a while. Why all the jump cuts though? Really distracting. Just some feedback. Keep up the good work. Thumbs up!

That is not really a skilled trade unless you are physically unable to it is yourself, it is a days work for anyone with a decent roller and a sturdy ladder.

Amazing how much things have changed in bricklaying from lazer levels to electric start mixers and using mobile phone to work things out etc.
And people still forget their ties 😂
Thank God you're not dealing with rebar. They still look like ball busters. Go Charlie, this old fireplace man is living vicariously.
Love your videos always find them interesting thanks
Do the trench blocks not need to be laid on a full bed?
Love the ode pick up block with the trowel very efficient
Great technique laying the screeds, trowel on solids one clean, Next One
Love the spinning laser thing.. like a disco R2D2..🤖
That’s a really good scaffold mat one of the best I’ve seen, you should see some of the shite I have to base out on. Cheers bears Charlie
So when you put that initial staff/sensor up; the lazer recognises that is the height the others are to conform to?
MOT must be cheap round those parts. Developer’s brother must own a quarry to use the good stuff for scaff
You’ve had some good lads you mate and never keep hold of them something must be wrong
I like that level. Back in the day u had to use a sight builder's level which required 2 competent people.
I remember them well, and as you rightly said you had to be reasonable knowledgeable.
A laser level just needs one competent person! Standard kit nowadays
Grande maestro da construção
I like to put a boat level on the tripod to get it bang on before mounting the lazer level , great video Charlie
Aren’t laser levels self levelling? Haha
@@dragginmedown They are to a degree - It doesn't harm putting a 250mm boat level on the stand to help it start to a good spot.....

Can those lasers interfere with drones??
Id happily come work with you mate
😂half a mil......we get it bob on !! 😂❤
Hello Charlie, you're doing a great job i have a basic knowledge in bricklaying, please how can i meet you because i need improve on it.
Wat happened to the old water level?
use the same laser for pouring the floors. great bit of kit but machine beacons can make them play up a bit
The trowel on top of the block haha class every little helps!
As a northener it hurts my ears hearing gobbo being called muck!
As a southerner who moved up north it had the opposite effect on me
It's "slap". As in "Get another tumbler of slap on".
Darbo !
No jointing? NHBC would smash us for that.
See the wall ties lined up with the new wall 😂

Putting the trowel on top of the block when you lay it! 🤯 I’m nicking that
How’s your back after that day? I always like to have a helper around
hilti rotating lasers are the best. look into them
why did you put your trowel on top of the block? As soon as you put the block down you went straight back to the barrow with your trowel.
Everything is fluid, on top,in hand, hold it in your mouth, sometimes it suits sometimes you change it out of sheer boredom well spotted tho
