Well I just graduated my 12th this year and planing on studying my bachelor’s either in Australia or UK, what knowledge I’ve gathered so far is that yes percentage does matter to some extent I’d say say 12th percentage is more important than 10th, it is recommended to at least get above 75% even better if it’s above 80% or 85% in 12th to be eligible if you want to get into the top universities also do some extracurricular activities, internships or include any achievements that you have received, that helps a lot since the universities abroad tends to focus more on overall development rather than just academics, and having a strong personal statement as well as a strong SOP is really important, put more effort in those (this is specifically for undergraduate idk much about postgraduate) and yeah also giving the ielts exam and scoring a band of 7 or 7.5 or else 6.5 minimum is recommended to showcase your English proficiency tho it might not be necessary ig
