Firmino is a player that would've been appreciated alot more in the early 2000s before football became all about numbers.
Yeah but at that time probably no one will care about him because there was Totti, Del Piero, Rivaldo, Rui Costa etc doing that kind of role.

In one of those moods where I was missing watching Bobby so naturally decided to look up a comp and this was recommended. Enjoyed the commentary on him, definitely my fave player from this current LFC side and appreciate hearing a rival fan actually highlight the beauty that is Bobby Dazzler the football player as opposed to "defensive striker" or "he doesn't do anything" nonsense I see banded about.

Bobby has been my favourite Liverpool player for years, Brazilian magician, his touch is sublime. It's a shame his form has dipped this year, I can't put my finger on it, he does look jaded though I can't be sure if it is fatigue or if he is declining. His touch has been off a bit this year. Thank you Rants I've been saying it for the longest. Even when they press L'pool often end up in a diamond with Firmino deeper than the two wingers so they can use their pace in the channels. Never a classic number nine, but rather a really intelligent, hard working and techy 10 from his days when I watched him in Germany. Love him to bits even though he always torches my team. 🤣

Exactly. Number 10/attacking midfielder. The confusion I think comes for two reasons. People assume Liverpool play 4-3-3 so the assumption is that Firmino is a "striker". Liverpool play 4-3-1-2 with Firmino assisting Mane and Salah. Furthermore, he and Mane should swap shirt numbers. Again, because he wears number 9 it's assumed he is a striker. He should wear no 10
