I've always found the "hyper normal" people in the SH series to be really terrifying. So the idea of this like super art dad coming out of nowhere and referring to the player as "son" is actually legit terrifying

I love the toad hat/head argument.. To me, it's always been both. It's kinda his hair, it grows a mushroom like cap on his head, that can be removed all in one piece like a real mushroom, so they can grow new ones, or style it and wear different ones similar to people wearing wigs or toupes.. So it isn't a hat or a head, it's his hair. Also his head accessory, so technically a hat. It grows from his head, so it's a part of him, so it's his head! It's both and neither! He's a mushroom boy, he doesn't have to follow our dumb rules!

I always saw the abstract daddy as two figures laying on a surface, with a male figure over female figure pinning it down. Which might be worse, because of the implications.
The idea is nice but that's a bit hard since they're mostly named after diseases or mythological creatures that already have their imagery pretty fixed.

SPOILERS for yokai descriptions below: Kuchisake-onna: Also known as the "slit-mouthed woman", the Kuchisake-onna basically asks a handful of questions before proceeding to kill her victims with a pair of scissors, such as giving them the same chelsea smile that she herself has. (Mileena, the big-mouthed femme-fatale from from Mortal Kombat, supposedly draws inspiration from this legend.) Teke-teke: This is a female ghost that was created when the upper half of her body was separated from the lower half of her body when a train ran over her. She is named after the sound of her torso dragging along the ground as she crawls along with her arms (similar to the Twin Victim from Silent Hill 4). If she encounters anyone at night, then she'll attempt to slice her victims in half, and steal the lower-halves of their bodies.

The 2nd season of Castlevania on Netflix recently came out. I would love to see you all draw Castlevania characters/bosses you haven't/may have heard of. Or just yourselves as vampire hunters.
It'd be really cool if you could draw Lovecraftian horror monsters or just the Old/Great Ones (gods) mentioned in H.P. Lovecraft's horror stories like Cthulhu, Yog-Sothoth , and Nyarlathotep (though maybe not Cthulhu since he's so well known so maybe Shub-Niggurath, Azathoth, or even Tsathoggua). It would make for a nice Halloween ep or at the very least something fun to see you all try and draw when there's no generally accept form for these cosmic entities.

The 2nd season of Castlevania on Netflix recently came out. I would love to see you all draw Castlevania characters/bosses you haven't/may have heard of. Or just yourselves as vampire hunters.
I love that if you look up these monsters, these drawing pop up.
It'd be really cool if you could draw Lovecraftian horror monsters or just the Old/Great Ones (gods) mentioned in H.P. Lovecraft's horror stories like Cthulhu, Yog-Sothoth , and Nyarlathotep (though maybe not Cthulhu since he's so well known so maybe Shub-Niggurath, Azathoth, or even Tsathoggua). It would make for a nice Halloween ep or at the very least something fun to see you all try and draw when there's no generally accept form for these cosmic entities.

I'm already very familiar with Abstract Daddy and its... backstory *shudders*. I was so uncomfortable the whole time.
From the description of Abstract Daddy, I definitely guessed what he was supposed to represent.

Karina's Twin Victim reminds me of a character from a Hellraiser movie, one of the early ones. Also while she was drawing it I was wondering, 'Are these two playing Twister or something?'

Just Incase you’re checking the comments before looking it up: The Abstract Daddy Trigger Warnings: CSA, Incest, genitals, and the actual body is a small body being held down by the monster
The innocent sounding comments the guys are making while drawing Abstract Daddy is looping the horror right back around to hilarity. I bet Julia was dying on the inside the whole time.
Suggestion: draw strange kung fu moves (or weapons) based off their translated literal names. Eg, "chicken heart" and "tiger fork" I think your interpretations would be great! Request count: 12

@@The_Commentators, it's a male over a female on a surface. One part looks particularly like a penis. Don't worry, the first time I saw it, I thought it was a guy doing another guy 😂😂
@@The_Commentators okay so the square part is a canvas/bedframe covered in a thin fleshy skin, with what appear to be two figures within it forming the lumpy shapes, just BARELY human enough so you can see that one seems to be on top of the other, the oen on top looking downwards
