As someone who has four adopted siblings, we adopted through our county, which we didn’t have to pay for. My parents had to take a bunch of classes to be qualified foster parents, and I believe they got paid a small amount of money (to cover some of the costs) for whenever they’ve had foster kids. However, I have known people who have adopted internationally, and they’ve had to pay up to five figures or so to be able to do so, although it probably varies, I’m not sure.

As an adoptee, there are fees and stuff associated. Paperwork is always hefty, especially for international kids. You can adopt people regardless of age, but financial stability is considered and you are legally bounded to take care of that person.

Well I'm from Portugal so it might be different in America, but my sister is adopted and i know that the adoption process took over 6 years to be fully completed. I also know that my parents didn't just pick my sister up, cuz they "liked" her. I think it was a decision made by the adoption center based on the past of my parents
If the real problem Gisele had was Brady not being enough of a father figure for their kids - then divorcing him , causing more potential strain on when they get to see him, was not the right move.
