I've heard that hot glue works well to hold things to cinderblock walls!
I love the book hanging with pvc pipes!!!
You have to put command hooks, let them cure for at least an hour and THEN you can put items on them. I learned this the hard way. :D LOL

I spend a lot of money on Classroom books. It's something i really value, and I want the kids to know automaticallly, that I love reading.
And maybe second to that is bins.

My first year i also bought random things, and now I'm way more strict. Especially with books. I only buy new picture books for me, and occasionally new books to finish series.

Apart from the borders in my classroom, I love the black and white/ simple look even as being the teacher. It really helps me keep track and lower the chances of missing something.

This year I’m teaching 3rd,4th and 5th grade pullout for reading and math. I will miss the younger kids this year but I know in my heart my personality is fitted for upper elementary.

Maybe set up your classroom library like the kids section of a public library? (Obviously way more condensed. Just using the same categorization.)
Labels are like socks, they disappear. I Just did the same and I also swore I made those stinking labels 😂
I would use painters tape and hot glue the command strips up, my room is really humid and I have to run dehumidifiers in my classroom all the time. That way seems to work!

Hi! I love your videos! Do you have any suggestions for a first year teacher (Mild/Mod SAI-with a large caseload of kiddos K-4), what would you recommend doing your first few days/weeks to manage your caseload? I am so nervous and want to do well and not fail at this! Any advice would be great.
